I loved this one so much! After four books of build-up for these two, the payoff was great. I loved it so much. The tension, the bantering, the CHEMISTRY, everything about this book was exactly what it needed to be. I loved seeing how each ridiculous event from one book to the other led to the culmination of some gorgeous love stories, a lovely group of friends, and just some hilarious books. This was so good, West and Sophie were such fun characters to be around and I loved seeing their friends and family react to their fake engagement like they all knew that they would end up together anyway. This was just so enjoyable.

A nice historical romance and quick read. I enjoyed this but wasn’t obsessed! A nice quick read if you need it.

this series is so much fun to read, and each and every book is at the same level of delightful historical romcom fun.

While I have enjoyed all of this series, I do feel like there are so many now, all with overlapping characters, that I had a hard time differentiating the cast and plots.

I love this series and it was so fun ‘catching up’ with the characters of previous books and also finally getting Sophie and West’s book! As always with any Martha Waters book it’s full of delicious pining and swoons worthy romance. I can’t wait to see what’s next!!!

Friends to lovers, second chance, marriage of convenience?! MARTHA WATERS nailed it with the final in her "Regency Vows" series- To Woo and To Wed!

West has always adored Sophie since seeing her in the ballroom. In fact, he was close to proposing to her years ago until an accident that left him bedbound. Now, they are reunited and spending time together once more strolling the gardens, riding horse drawn carriages, and attending house parties. Sophie no longer is married and West has no lady love sparking his interest (or dance card). Yet, Sophie's sister is the crux as she won't marry....believing Sophie to be miserable. There's only one thing left to do, Sophie to marry Wes and show everyone just how happy she is. Even if those wedding promises are fake and not meant to come true for two lovers meant to be together.

I squealed in delight while reading To Woo and to Wed because we finally got West and Sophie's story. I immediately felt the connection and importance of their love, especially from our hero West's point of view. The pining, the wanting and the banter made me gaps and believe that this couple was truly (and will) stay together for all of time. While sad to see The Regency Vows series come to a close, West and Sophie's story brought on a fantastic conclusion to a series I'm sure to re-listen to in the future.

A second chance romance meets a fake engagement as West and Sophie reconnect seven years after their almost engagement. The story is told back and forth in time to explain how Sophie married West's best friend while West was unconscious and injured from a curricle accident. Now, Sophie is a widow and some convoluted romance book reasoning has her asking West to fake an engagement so her sister will marry. I found Sophie mostly irritating while poor West has been pining for all these years. The characters from the previous books are involved here so I think you would be slightly confused reading this out of order. At least be aware the couples mentioned have their own stories. There are some unusual plot points not found in the average romance book. They have a one night fling four years prior, Sophie doesn't necessarily want children and West is fine with that (even though a Marquess is usually concerned about an heir), she had an affair with one of the men in their group of friends. Overall entertaining.

What a sweet and satisfying ending to The Regency Vows Series. Seeing Sophie finally move on and accept the happiness she deserves was great. I loved how she and Weat finally navigated their feelings and got it together. Favorite book out of the series!!

I'm sad to see this series end, but was so excited to read the final installment!

West has been one of my favorite characters, and I loved his story. His dedication to Sophie is one to be admired. I adored their relationship and how it evolved over the story. A great book!

It feels like I've been waiting ages to get West and Sophie's story. It's been hinted at and danced around in the first four books in this raucous series. I worried a little that it would be a let down after so much build up, but it was not at all! It had the same hijinks and humor as the others in the series. It is also fun to get continued peeks into the lives of the four couples featured in the previous books. All of whom "help" Sophie and West get together for their own HEA. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys a period romance, but definitely great for fans of the show, Bridgerton and its books.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for a eARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

A very solid conclusion to the series. You have two eldest children denying themselves what they really want for the good of other people and they have to get over it! I really enjoyed both Sophie and West's journeys over the course of the book. West uses a cane, and having that representation was great, especially because it isn't something that is inconsequential. I really liked that his abilities actually got conversed about between the two of them, especially in the sex scenes. The other thing I loved was the plot between Sophie and Alexandra. All in all, it is a fun romance for anyone who enjoys a regency setting or fake dating tropes.

This book was so funny, hilarious, and steamy. I really enjoyed the story and the characters were really fun. It's also steamy and such a fun quick read. It's the final book in the series.

I adore Martha Waters’ writing and love the repeated trips into her Regency realm. Her characters are always so well-developed, and I find myself laughing at the banter and the situations they find themselves in. In this final installment of the Regency Vows series, I was not disappointed in finally learning about West and Sophie’s past. I thoroughly enjoyed this ending to the series and getting one last reunion with all of her endearing characters.

What a sweet conclusion to a series I thoroughly enjoyed. It's not as funny or silly as previous installments in this series but that's not really who these characters all anyways. This story has been three books in the making and the background developed over the earlier books gives To Woo and To Wed a lot of context and depth of character within the world Martha Waters has created. Much like the Sophie and West the story itself feels more mature and a little deeper than previous books. I didn't miss the humor of the earlier books because it was replaced fully flushed out characters and emotional growth. The epilogue was especially sweet since Waters gave us a glimpse into where the whole friend group ends up.

This book is the fifth and final installment in the Regency Vows series. As much as I enjoyed the familiarity with the other characters in the book, it is not necessary to have read any of the other books in the series for you to love this fake engagement romance.

Sophia, Lady Fitzwilliam Bridewell was once engaged to West, the Marques of Weston. After an accident, West's father interfered with their relationship, and their engagement was called off. Now, Sophie's recently widowed younger sister, Alexandra, has another chance at happiness but will not act on it unless Sophie is happily married. Sophie does the only thing she can think of, announce a fake engagement to West.

Why I Like It: Each one of the books in this series made me laugh out loud and this was no exception. The antics are hilarious and in Regency Era, are even more amusing.

The Regency Vows series goes out with a bang! I’ve been waiting for Sophie and West’s book since To Have and to Hoax and it was worth the wait! I loved how the book very deftly alternates POV and time periods, taking us back 7 years in the past to see what really happened between them and how those past hurts affect the present.

If you like second chance and fake engagement then this one is for you! Great MMC and I loved that the FMC was ambivalent to having children. Very rare in historical romance but I loved it and it made Sophie stand out as a character!

I’ll be anxiously awaiting Martha’s next series!

This is the fifth and final installment of The Regency Vows. What a hilarious and fun series this has been! We met West and Sophie in the first book, and ever since then I have been looking forward to reading their story, and here we are! West and Sophie were once upon a time very much in love and engaged to be married. But circumstances caused them to separate and they have been pining for each other at a distance for the last seven years. Sophie is now widowed. Her sister has taken a liking to a certain earl, but she won't move forward until Sophie settles down, too. Sophie doesn't want to hold her sister back, so she enlists West's help with a plan to fake an engagement so her sister can move on with her life. The plan is to break off their engagement once her sister is happily married, but it's not that easy. Feelings that they have buried deep down are slowly finding their way to the surface and although Sophie has vowed not to ever risk her heart again, her heart has its own ideas and she may not have a choice in the matter.
The story was highly entertaining with wonderful characters that were full of energy and spunk. The banter between them was absolutely hilarious and I had such a great time reading this! A fun and satisfying end to a delightful series! I am looking forward to whatever this author brings us next!
I received a complimentary copy from NetGalley and Atria Books and am voluntarily leaving my review.

Yes! Sophie and West! Finally! What a solid ending to this series - it was great and we finally got these two together and their own HEA.

This book was absolutely worth the wait, and I would say these two have some excellent chemistry - glad to see that this book lived up to my personal hype. Read the whole series - it will help you understand all, but also truly appreciate the level of longing and wait these two went through.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC!

I have really enjoyed the Regency Vows series and it’s bittersweet seeing it come to an end, but of course it wouldn’t be complete without Sophie and West’s story. We’ve seen snippets of them throughout the series so it was good to see them get their HEA.

Sophie’s sister Alexandra won’t get married until she sees Sophie settled down. A young widow, Sophie hasn’t contemplated remarrying but she’s desperate not to get in the way of Alexandra’s life. So she enlists the help of her former beau West to plan a fake engagement with her. West is the perfect hero. He loves Sophie unconditionally (and there are DEFINITELY some “conditions” in their past that are enough to make any man lose interest).

The story moves back and forth between the present, seven years ago when they first met, and four years ago when “something” happened. It’s dual POV third person and initially I found myself having to flip back to remember which timeline we were on.* Probably at least a third of the book takes place in the past which is necessary to understanding how Sophie and West relate to each other now. This book is full of mutual pining, angst, heartache, and I definitely was in my feelings when reading. It had an overall sad feeling to me, but that wasn’t a bad thing in my opinion—it definitely kept me interested to see how we’d arrive at the finale. Instead the sadness felt deserved. Here are two characters who have both cared for each other for a really long time, but because of circumstances, (which when revealed are reasonable and truly plausible for their separation) they have never been able to wholly commit to each other. This is a true second-chance romance and you definitely have to wade through some of the tough times to get to the deserved ending.

This also is probably Waters’ steamiest book and I was here for it! There are still some assumed intimate scenes, but it was nice to see a little bit more of Sophie and West’s physical chemistry. With each book I think Waters’ writing and dialogue has gotten better and better and even if a reader wasn’t familiar with the characters, they can’t help but know them well by the end of the book. The dialogue sparkled and the tension between West and Sophie pretending to be engaged and yet both really desiring the other was perfection. I’m so excited to see where Martha Waters takes us next. Each couple has given us such a different side to her writing from angsty to humorous, to even ghostly? 😉 You can bet I’ll be reading her next series. I received an early copy from Atria in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

*I don’t think this would have been an issue if I had read in one or two sittings.
