I thought this was a great book. I love the design of the cover. Jack could totally be writing for Tom Clancy's estate at some point in the future. His writing reminded me so much of Clancy's as far as the ease of reading. The plot was engaging and I thought the presented trade craft was top notch.
I liked that it didn't focus too much on flying and presented realistic protrayels of spies working in our country.
If Jack wants it, I could see him writing some Clancy books in the future.
What a great book! Anytime a book can grab you and pull you into the story right away is the kind of book I love. The details about the F-35 were great and the plot was believable and scary at the same time. I look forward to the next one and how the story continues.
Military action thriller at it's finest! What a whirlwind of a debut for Jack Stewart. I am so glad a publisher finally got behind Jack to help him publish this book. Jack has the talent to hang with the heavy weights in the military thriller space and this is probably one of the best books I have read all year. Do yourself a favor and buy this book for the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend. You will thank me later. Cannot wait to see what Jack does next!
Unknown Rider Jack Stewart
A great debut! Top Gun pilot experiences near disaster and believes something sinister is going on – not pilot error. Most disagree but he teams up with a fiery Navy Investigator and they start looking for answers. Wonderful military thriller which shows the influence of Tom Clancy on the author. Looking forward to the next one. Highly recommended.

A thrilling ride of a novel. The author makes great use of the technology and weaves it into a great story and plot. The book was suspenseful and really grabbed my attention. I hope this is just the first of a new series! I want more of these characters.
Thank you to #NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.
Great debut! Colt and Punky are badass! I loved the featured aircraft. My husband was an engineer on JSF and now works on V-22, F18 and Chinook. My only disappointment is that there weren’t any Chinooks in this book 😂 Can’t wait to read the next book in the series!
Halfway through UNKNOWN RIDER, I was thinking about writing a review that said it was one of the five or six best military-techno thrillers I've ever read. But then I finished the book, and I realized I was wrong.
It wasn't one of the five or six best military-techno thrillers I've ever read. It was THE best military-techno thriller I've ever read. Hands down. Nothing else comes even close. UNKNOWN RIDER is as good as the genre gets. Maybe better.
Stop reading this review and go read UNKNOWN RIDER. Do it right now.
You're welcome.
Fast paced military/espionage novel with interesting characters and full of military jargon and weaponry. It kept me engaged throughout and left a cliffhanger for the next book. Highly recommended for fans of Tom Clancy or Mark Greaney.
A great, action-packed, non-stop thriller. When a TOPGUN pilot loses control of his fighter jet and nearly destroys an American ship, no one believes him except an NCIS investigator who has been chasing the trail of Chinese techno-terrorists. As they join forces, the story speeds up even more, culminating in an amazing dogfight. Sure hope this is the first of a series.
