This was a fantastic read. A slow burn, but in a way that allowed me to take it all in and enjoy the ride - a marathon not a sprint.

I really warmed to Jo and I wanted so badly for her to be right - that someone was messing with her. I felt for her, her circumstances and her background. Her husband had his faults, but I did enjoy his character.

I thought the delicate aspects of mental health and postpartum life to be really well done. The incidents that happened throughout the book, were believable and were not far fetched. Incidents that could easily be the result of an exhausted and overwhelmed brain or just as easily, something more sinister.

The flashbacks provided good background and context to the current day, and the family dynamics added an interesting element.

While I was not on the edge of my seat, I was very invested in Jo, surprised by the twists and entertained throughout. I liked the ending, I thought it was nicely tidied up at the end. Overall, this is not a fast paced , action thriller but it was a very good, realistic, read. A sold 4 stars for me.

Thanks NetGalley for the opportunity to review this book.
