This book goes beyond the emotional aftermath of a breakup, addressing the practical, social, and personal intricacies of the divorce process that women often face but rarely talk about.

Her approachable and real tone makes the book not only educational but deeply relatable, offering a sense of camaraderie and support for women who may feel isolated or overwhelmed. She touches on the less-discussed aspects of divorce, giving readers a sense of control and clarity, while also acknowledging the tough realities of moving on.

Ultimately, Not Your Mom's Divorce is a hopeful, yet realistic, exploration of how divorce can lead to personal growth, mental wellness, and empowerment. While I was intrigued by the topic as I’m facing a divorce myself, this wasn’t helpful to me personally, so it’s not what I’d necessarily enjoy, but I’m sure it would be helpful to others going through it.

I really wish this book came out in spring of 2020.

Personally, spring of 2020 was when I knew my marriage was over, unlike Michelle, I only heard those five words one time and that was it for me (it was also on my birthday during the pandemic... so...).

This book is everything that a woman could ever need while navigating these new waters, or just trying to figure out where to start.

Seriously, wish this was out 4 years ago.

Thank you NetGalley for my e-ARC.
