Cute Christmas love story. Eve catches her boyfriend cheating on her right before Christmas. She ends up in a job delivering engagement rings, and of course falls in love along the way! It was hard to follow the narrator but the story itself was cute.

Given how visual so much of the humor here is, I dearly hope this gets made into a Christmas Rom-Com - it would absolutely hilariously, and such a sweet holiday romance!

Eve is in for a rough Christmas - on Christmas Eve-Eve, she walked in on her boyfriend getting a blow job in the shower from a blonde woman named Allegra. (Isn't that a type of antihistamine?) In a fit of righteous anger, she dumps all the Christmas gifts she bought for his family out the window and stomps back to the jewelry shop she works at, knowing the dear old husband and wife who run the store will give her tea and sympathy. And hopefully booze. However, she gets there just as mix up in the jewelry orders comes to light, and would she mind terribly spending Christmas Eve and Christmas Day delivering wedding and engagement rings?

She is accompanied by another part time worker at the store, Joe, who is called in for the emergency delivery service while at his other part time job, dancing in scantily clad outfits for bachelorette parties.

So off they go to drive around London on Christmas, him half dressed, and her half drunk, doing their best to make sure love triumphs, damnit.

Hilarity ensues as things keep going wrong during the deliveries - but no worries, the magic of Christmas will make sure romance blooms!

One note - I feel like the timeline should have been compressed to one day, since it felt like the pacing kept slowing down for the characters to take breaks. But other than that, a wonderful, funny holiday romance!

A wonderful holiday rom-com! Co-workers/friends-to-happily ever after. I would love to see this book turned into a movie. Some of the scenes are laugh out loud funny and some that are so beautiful and heartwarming.

I received an ARC from Netgalley and the publisher!

This holiday romance is a solid 3 stars and a fun listen!

Eve has just caught her boyfriend of 3 years cheating on her at Christmastime. She kicks him out and goes to her workplace to escape. There she meets up with Joe, her delightful coworker, and then find that they need to deliver 5 rings over Christmas to different people for the jeweler they work for.

Joe has been in love with Eve for a while and seeing her sad over her idiot boyfriend allows his best side to show through. He's so kind, and as they go on a new adventure every time they deliver a ring, he falls more in love with Eve and Ever starts to realize she may have feelings for him as well.

It's cute.

My criticisms are:

The audio book is narrated by one person but it's a dual POV book and it took a while to get used to the fact that one person was doing the voice for both character's POV. It would have been SO much better with two narrators.

It's one giant miscommunication trope throughout as they keep each other in the friend zone, which gets a little irritating at times.

Five Gold Rings by Kristen Bailey is such a fun and hilarious Christmas story. From the opening line to the very end, I could not stop, I had to know what happened next.

Joe and Eve had such a fun and tension filled story! Normally, slow burn books are not my favourite, but in this instance, it was amazing. I don't think the author could do anything better (except maybe punish Chris more)

Anyone who loves; he falls first, christmas, Romcoms, and Sassy Female main characters will absolutely love this book!

I received an ARC of this as an audiobook, and my goodness narrator was spectacular. Her accent was perfect for this story.

During the holiday time it is supposed to be exciting and surrounded by loved ones. However, for Eve she walks into her boyfriend cheating on her and she is heartbroken. At the same time she finds her gift from Chris, which is an engagement ring from the store that she works at. After Eve's life falling to shambles she goes to her place of employment to find compassion and love. Eve's employers decide to pair her up with Joe, a colleague, to have them deliver rings together. Joe has been secretly in love with her. Joe and Eve have an adventure of their own working together and getting to know each other.

I loved the unravelling of the story and being told it from Eve and Joe's side I really enjoyed.

Thank you #NetGalley for the advance copy!

"Five Gold Rings" by Kristen Bailey is a delightful Christmassy romance novel that perfectly captures the spirit of the season.

At the core of the story is the endearing chemistry between Eve and Joe. Their connection feels genuine and heartwarming, and the parallels between their lives, as revealed through different points of view, add depth to their relationship. It's clear, they are meant to be together, and their journey is a joy to follow.

The novel's humor is a standout feature, with witty banter and clever jokes that induce genuine laughter. The references to the classic Christmas song "The Twelve Days of Christmas" are a charming touch, enhancing the festive atmosphere.

The book's compact timeline, set over two days, contributes to a sense of rushed pacing. While it's evident that the characters have been in love for longer than they cared to admit, it would have been rewarding to see more of their relationship after they officially became a couple. More moments of them being in love could have deepened the emotional connection.

The novel's cleanliness, with an absence of explicit scenes, is notable. While it features plenty of humor and dirty jokes, it refrains from going beyond light-hearted banter. For readers who prefer romance without explicit content, this is a positive aspect.

In conclusion, "Five Gold Rings" is a heartwarming and humorous holiday romance that encapsulates the magic of Christmas. Kristen Bailey's well-crafted characters and witty dialogue make it a perfect read for the season, although it might leave readers wishing for a bit more exploration of the characters' love as a couple.

Ho! Ho! Ho! Laughter for the holiday romantics to keep you giggle snorting and outright laughing as you read! Make sure you have tissues handy though as you'll need a few of those as well. Getting dumped sucks, getting dumped at Christmas is even worse, but never fear as this dumping will actually have you tearing, laughing and cheering! Seriously, trust me this is a fun romance book that you need to be reading and don't wait for the holidays, start enjoying it now! The antics that someone who cares about you will go through to cheer you up and help you feel better are innumerable, but this book drives the point home that you need to find that person who will do the same for you! On a serious note, the book really does have all the feels! You'll tilt your head to the side and say awww a few times, be steamed with indignant anger or frustration at other times and still others you will giggle like a child! This book is the cheerful book that you need in your life! While this book is fun to read, the narration makes it even better! The narration really brings the characters, the emotions and the spirit of the holiday to life in a wonderfully entertaining way!

I’m putting Five Gold Rings on my must read Christmas book list for my friends! A funny and touching story, I was wishing that Eve and Joe had more rings to deliver so that the book didn’t have to end!

This is the perfect holiday romance. It's like reading a hallmark christmas movie which means a cast of wonderful characters, a couple mix-ups, a sweet romance and everything I could want in a holiday romance.

Our main character is a part time jewelry sales associate named Eve. Even comes up to suprise her boyfriend for Christmasy, but instead finds him cheating on her. Ugh! Way to ruin Christmas dude! In order to distract herself, Eve agrees to make five ring deliveries and is accompanied by another salesperson named Joe who is secretly in love with her.

Is the ending predictable? Absolutely? Is it cheesy as heck? Absolutely! But I loved every single second and after everything Eve has been through with her cheating boyfriend, doesn't she deserve to find happiness? I would say so! It's Christmas after all!

Thank you to NetGalley and Storm Publishing for this complimentary ARC.

I sincerely hope this romcom gets made into a Christmas movie! It was such a fun and heartwarming holiday read with some truly laugh out loud moments!
Eve is looking forward to Christmas and all the splendid moments it brings. What she doesn't expect on Christmas Eve is to walk in on her boyfriend and his coworker in quite the compromising position. Confused and distraught, Eve heads to the jewelry store where she works into the comfort of the elderly owners, the Caspars, who in turn call another co-worker, Joe to come help console Eve. When the jewelers realize a critical delivery mistake has been made, and five rings crucial for Christmas proposals and weddings have gone to the wrong address, Eve and Joe jump at the chance to help their beloved bosses. Can Eve put aside her heartache and Joe his true feelings for Eve to focus on getting the rings to their rightful owners?
The story takes you on one adventure after another with each ring having a story in itself. Some of the stories were sentimental, others hysterical! But in the end, this heartwarming romance will have you in the Christmas spirit!
Harrie Dobby does a fabulous job with the narration! Because of her accent and the use of some British terms, I did have to listen at a slower speed than I sometimes do but it just made the book that much more of a cozy listen!

Five Gold Rings is the perfect holiday story. We follow Joe and Eve, two friends (but Joe would like to be more) who are delivered 5 rings to different customers on Christmas.

There are so many hilarious shenanigans that these two run into, but there is also a lot of heart in this story. I love a book that can make you laugh but also make you think.

This book should definitely be on your list for Holiday reads!

Five Gold Rings is a dual POV romcom taking place on Christmas Eve and Christmas.

I was laughing out loud following Eve and Joe on their adventure to deliver five rings. The scenarios and people they meet are so fun and help you to see how Eve and Joe could become connected so quickly!

A great book of relationships, love stories in multiple forms, and Christmas!

Kristen Baileys writing made this a quick, fun read!

Thank you NetGalley for this audio ARC. I don't know what my deal with this book was, but I couldn't stand it. Maybe I wasn't the right audience, but I found this overly corny so much so that I found myself rolling my eyes throughout it.

This is a very cute Christmas romantic comedy that had me snorting with laughter more than once. I loved all the characters, and it gave off all the Christmasy vibes. If you need a book to get you into the Christmas spirit, add this to your December reading list! It reads like a hallmark movie, but not super cheesy! It was a super fun story to read.

Extreme Hallmark vibes! Kristen Bailey's Five Gold Rings is charming and festive. Eve and Joe are sent on a last-minute mission to deliver rings (and help Eve recover from heartbreak). Every delivery goes awry, but Eve and Joe recover about as neatly as possible.

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

I absolutely loved this holiday Rom-com — the characters were very relatable and you cheered that things would work out for them. The narrator is very good at female voices but needs to work on more variance between two male characters when they are chatting -when its a female and male chatting it’s no problem to distinguish who’s talking . I love the theme of delivering the five rings — it reminded me of delivering fruit baskets to people in our community with my grandfather on Christmas Eve. I really enjoyed the stories of the five people they delivered the rings too as well and how it developed the story. This book was humorous , heartwarming and my kind of romance .

Thanks to Netgalley and Dreamscape Select, Storm Publishing for the ARC . This is my honest review .

If you are a planner, slightly OCD, and organized, like me, you may have a hard time loving this book. It started off good- Eve walks in on her boyfriend cheating on her just two days before Christmas. Unbeknownst to her, her co-worker, Joe, has been in love with her forever. With some matchmaking by their bosses, they are sent on a mission to deliver five rings to clients. This is where it fell apart for me.

It takes them three days to deliver five rings. They get caught up in each celebration and spend hours at each delivery. Cute. But my logical brain is screaming THE OTHER PEOPLE NEED THEIR RINGS, TOO!

Just the concept of people being ok with their large purchase not being delivered (the last delivery is in the evening on Christmas Day) in inconceivable to me. First, I would not rely on a local shop to deliver something that important. Second, I'd be on the phone asking where my stuff was.

My logical brain could not just sit back and enjoy. The whole thing was causing me anxiety!

Basically, most people will like this, I think. But if you are super type A, put yourself in the correct frame of mind before reading.

Harrie Dobby narrates the audiobook. I enjoyed it, except when Gabriel was in dialogue. She used a very feminine voice when he spoke and I honestly felt lost a time or two and had to actively think about who was talking. Thankfully he is a very minor character with only a couple of appearances.

I received an audio copy in exchange for an honest review.

The perfect Christmas romance! I loved everything about this book! Eve and Joe wonderful characters, and we come to love them as human beings. The book is full of side characters all deftly drawn, and we are led through five beautiful love stories before we get to Joe and Eve's happily ever after. This contains all the feels of a Christmas movie in book form. I loved the narrator of this audiobook, and highly recommend this to everyone who loves a Christmas romance.

Thanks so much to NetGalley and the publisher for the audiobook ARC!
