Hooked from the first page, a lovely storey of 2 people who have been hurt in the past, who as much as angel didn’t want to admit are perfect for each other. I really didn’t want this story to end. A real page turner.
This was a wonderful book with really great characters. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one and I recommend it.
Brilliant book , loved the way the story unfolded and such great characters, the book had everything a bit of humour and romance. A really feel good book and a very easy read. Really highly recommend this book as a great read.
a truly heart-warming read! full of delightful characters and a captivating story line. I loved this book!
Joanne Boden’s "Second Chances at Little Bluewater Bay" is a heartwarming and enchanting novel that beautifully captures the essence of renewal and love. Set against the picturesque backdrop of a charming coastal town, Boden’s story weaves together themes of second chances and personal growth with a gentle, yet compelling narrative. The characters are endearing and relatable, each on their own journey of rediscovery and healing. Boden’s descriptive prose brings Little Bluewater Bay to life, creating a vivid and inviting setting that adds to the book’s charm. "Second Chances at Little Bluewater Bay" is a delightful and uplifting read, perfect for those seeking a feel-good escape.
I read this book courtesy of NetGalley. A light quick read which is part of a series. I don't think it mattered if the previous two books haven't been read, as I myself haven't, although it's obvious from the characters in this book who features in the ones that have been written before. A good community feel with good characters in a tight knit island community. I really didn't take to Angel and her constant grumpiness plus her inability to integrate let alone find a modicum of civility most of the time, I just found myself getting totally annoyed with her. How anyone kept up friendliness and patience with her without giving up, I don't know. Spiky. However, overall a heartwarming book and easy enough to get into and read
I had a difficulty connecting with characters. I would read another book by this author.....................................................................................................................
Angel Harrington, a photographer, finds herself stranded on the side of a country road in Little Bluewater Bay. Lucas, a handsome stranger, comes to her rescue, and Angel is surprised to find herself opening up to the residents of the small town. With Lucas's help, Angel begins to question her belief that it's always better to be alone. A heartwarming and uplifting story of love, community, and the power of opening one's heart to others.
Loved this story. Angel doesn’t stay in one place for too long, determined to keep people away, but as soon as she arrives in Bluewater Bay she is embraced by the community. Super sweet romance between her and Lucas, he’s a sweet caring guy, perfect for Angel. Beautiful story of healing, finding friends and falling in love.
Such an easy read, and although third in a series I enjoyed as a stand alone. Although I will definitely be going back to read the first two.
Thank you to the Author, Publisher and NetGalley UK for a free ebook in exchange for an honest review.
A very pleasant story indeed and although the third book in the series it can easily be enjoyed and read on its own.
This is book three of a series. I read the first two before reading this, but it could be stand alone (previous two books cover supporting character's stories). It was an adorable story, and if you like Hallmark movies, you will like this book!
I loved being absorbed by this story. I fell in love with Angela. This is my first book by Joanne Boden. I loved the writing pace. I read this book bit by bit before bed time. It was a good and relaxing way to end my day.
This book was an easy, fun read and one that I have recommend to others! This is the third book in the three book series and was a wonderful addition to the other books. Angel is a self aware, guarded person in a small, quaint town working as a photographer when she meets the dashing Lucas. Their interactions build with each page! Small town cuteness meets perfect couple!
The book Second Chances at Little Bluewater Bay was an enjoyable read. I would recommend any book written by Joanne Boden. Happy Reading!
I received an ARC of this book courtesy of NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions expressed in this review are my own and given freely.
I loved this story and raced through it. A lovely book to read in one sitting. I'd love to live there it sounds perfect. My thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.
Enjoyable story about stopping seeking and instead finding peace to heal, making friends and daring to create a new life. It worked well as a standalone, but reading other reviews it sounds as if I'd got more depth if I had read the previous books in the series first.
This lovely romance set in an Idealic setting was everything I hoped it would be!
There was enough character development to feel connected to the story, and to have hope for the characters etc.
The pacing was excellent, it was a quick, easy fun read.
Just what I needed.
I definitely would like to read more from this author. It did not feel like I had to have read the previous books for this one to be good.
Thank you to author, Joanne Boden, NetGalley, and Joffe Books for the opportunity to read this book ahead of publication date.

Firstly, I would like to note that while this book is part of a series, I do like that it can be read as a standalone and still gives you an insight into each characters without having to have read their individual books (as I have not). With that in mind, I don’t feel like I got along with this book. The idea and concept is cute, and it does eventually have that happy ending that we all love and wanted but I didn’t find myself particularly excited to pick up the book & finished it more for the sake of it. Thanks for letting me read!

Angel is a photographer who goes on a work trip to Bluewater Bay and stays in a cottage owned by Lucas. Angel roams from project to project, without establishing roots, and keeping everyone at arms length. Lucas aims to win Angel over, and endear her to the local community.
Initially I found Angel frustrating, but as I learned more about her backstory I came to appreciate her character progression. The characters of Lucas and the rest of the locals were a lovely juxtaposition to her prickly demeanour, and I found myself wanting to visit this welcoming seaside town!
Although this is third in the series, I read and enjoyed it as a standalone. After meeting the other characters and hearing hints of their stories, I’d like to go back and read the first two books.
Thank you to Choc Lit and NetGalley for the arc copy of this book.
