The third book in the series about Little Bluewater Bay. Probably best to have read the previous two books, which I hadn’t. Angel is a prickly photographer who has arrived to spend six months photographing the sea. She wants to remain aloof and alone. Lucas is the local store owner, friend to everyone. Can he break down Angels barriers? Lucas is persistent. A pleasant read.

Please read the first two books in this series as I didn't feel that this was a standalone novel. What I did read I enjoyed but I must find the others first and then read them all. This would have been a 4 star book so I will give it 4 stars.

Thanks to Netgalley, author and publisher for this ARC

Sweet little story to get lost in on a cold winter day when the real world is just too dang noisy. I gave it three stars only because I couldn’t relate to the heroine because she was so different than me. I’m the small town girl, not the world traveler. Loved the hero and the small town though, nicely done. I think the four and five star reviews can be trusted. ;)

Thanks to Netgalley for the eARC of this novel. Unfortunately this novel did not work for me in terms of execution and lack of originality.

📸Letting others in: who wouldn't love some attention from Lucas?😏

4.5🌟stars
Joanne Boden's novel had me rooting for Lucas, the friendly shopkeeper always coming to the rescue, and a bit frustrated with gruff Angel, the photographer who arrives for an extended temporary stay and tries her hardest to avoid forming lasting connections with the Little Bluewater Bay residents. The characters pop with individual personality traits and I found the slow build romance had plenty of stops and starts, but was totally satisfying in the end.

The story is told with alternating POV between Angel and Lucas and had plenty of getting-to-know-you scenes. Angel's standoffish personality bothered me at first but the other characters just accepted and her anyway, so I joined them. Her sad backstory is a bit sketchy, but enough came through for me to understand why it's so hard for her to depend on another's help. Lucas was the quintessential understanding hero.

I really enjoyed the story. It had plenty of emotion without getting too dramatic and the romantic scenes were really sweet and appealing. It moved pretty quickly, was easy to read and, frankly, I was happy with the ending but sad the book had to end. This was my first read visiting Boden's Little Bluewater Bay and I definitely want to return!

Thanks to Joffe Books and NetGalley for sharing a copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest opinion.

Made it 30% into the book and realized it’s apart of a series and not a stand alone. I plan to read the first two books in the series and come back to this one. From what I did read I thought it was very light and gave the second chance romance feels. Excited to pick this back up soon.

Second Chances at Little Bluewater Bay is the third book in the Bluewater Bay series. This book is primarily about Angel and Lucas. Angel is a photographer who is spending six months in Bluewater Bay. She is an independent woman with really no one in her life. She travels from place to place taking photos of the area and often the inhabitants. She and Lucas have a rough beginning because Angel doesn't want to get involved with anyone and is taken aback by Lucas and his kindness. As time goes by, Angel realizes that he is a great guy and his friends are the best people she has ever met. It is great to see Annie, Willow, Noah, Harry, Beth, and Pamela again and discover what has happened in their lives since reading about them in the first two books in the series. Many authors totally move on to new characters in each book with early characters making a quick appearance if they are mentioned at all. Fortunately, Joanne Boden doesn't use that technique. Although the focus is on Angel and Lucas, the others all have prominent roles in this third book. As a reader, I am so happy to discover what is happening in all of their lives and see their stories continue. The author includes enough background so that the story makes sense to those you haven't read the first two books. I highly recommend this book to all readers. I hope to see a fourth in the series that continues to follow the lives of all of these characters.

I received a free copy of, Second Chances at Little Bluewater Bay, by Joanne Boden, from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This is book 3 of 3 in the Little Bluewater Bay series. Angel Harrington needs a second chance, she is a photographer who is spending time in Bluewater Bay. Angel meets Lucas, which should be a good thing, but Angel has a lot of walls built up around herself, and wont let anyone in. Can Lucas change that, will Angel let herself fall in love? A cute read, loved the setting.

This is the story of a woman who has lost faith in herself and the world she lives in. As she moves to a new location to work on her photography she finds herself dropping the walls she’s built so high. This is a story that grabs you from the first chapter and hard to walk away from.

A lovely return to Bluewater bay..

Angek is a loner, she doesn't need friends, she just keeps moving.

That is until she arrives in Bluewater Bay, a blown tyre introduces her to Lucas, the local shop keeper, Angel is attracted to him but she knows that she can't get involved with Lucas, it's for hid own good.

This was a lovely book, the characters were great and you really felt like you knew them and must admit I really didn't want the book to end, a book well worth reading.

A beautifully written story about two young people eventually getting together. Angel and Lucas were great characters. I loved the setting in the Cove and the very supportive locals who were so friendly and supportive. I held my breath when Angel went into the cold seawater. Luckily Lucas came by and saved her. A great read that was difficult to put down.

The woman who pushes everyone away and the man who likes to fix things . . .

Photographer Angel Harrington thought charming Little Bluewater Bay would be the perfect home for six months.

But as soon as she arrives, Angel gets a flat tyre. She’s stranded on the side of a country road.

Help soon arrives in the form of a particularly handsome stranger. Lucas is tall, muscular and easy on the eyes. So of course she doesn’t mind watching him work.

Maybe luck is on her side, after all.

Angel is convinced there’s only one person in life she can rely on: herself. But she soon finds that the residents of Little Bluewater Bay are a community. So they don’t even question welcoming Angel with open arms.

And with a little help from Lucas, Angel begins opening her heart to the possibility that maybe, just maybe, it’s not always better to be alone.

Can Angel take a leap of faith and find her own slice of heaven, right here in Little Bluewater Bay?

Sparks fly and tempers flare in this uplifting small-town romance about second chances. Perfect for fans of Helen Rolfe, Holly Martin, Rachael Lucas, Sue Moorcroft or Jessica Redland.
