When I requested this book I didn't know there was a first book in the series. There is some information that would have been helpful to have background on but I don't think it was necessary to read and understand More Than a Match.

Ich weiß ehrlich gesagt nicht, wie ich dieses Buch bewerten soll, da ich es aufgrund relativ kurzer Ausleihdauer (ohne Verlängerung) nicht lesen konnte.

I wanted to like More Than a Match so badly. I didn't know that it was the 2nd in the series, but that didn't necessarily matter or make this one hard to understand.

What did make it a hard read and that I simply could not get over was the 360 something or another that was essentially "let me vet this man for you in every way possible" which just... felt icky.

Cher Thatcher, an elite matchmaker, finds herself taking a chance on love during New York Fashion Week, where she plans to transition from friends to lovers with her billionaire best friend, Owen Hawking. However, unexpected twists arise when Channing Stanbury, a handsome playboy from Cher's past, reappears, and Owen's supermodel ex complicates matters. Amidst the sizzling fashion scene and spicy encounters, Cher navigates her own romantic journey while grappling with past trauma and her burgeoning feelings for both Owen and Channing. With plenty of steamy scenes and character growth, this sequel to Matching Millions delivers a quick and entertaining read, despite its lack of adventure or intricate plot. The characters, though wealthy and attractive, are intriguing, and Cher's Matchmaker 360 business adds an interesting dimension to the story, offering insight into the world of elite matchmaking.

If you're looking for a sweet, quick and steamy read with a twist - this book is for you! Pushing the boundaries of the norm, I found More Than A Match highly interesting and different. It's definitely a page turner as I was literally sucked in from page one!

Although this is Book 2 in the series, the author recaps from Book 1 - Meet Your Match, so you don't necessarily need to have read it to understand More Than A Match.

The story continues where it left off in the previous book. I still find it a bit crazy with Cher's Match 360 business, in which she does the 'full audition' for her female clients. I can't imagine meeting my potential forever person knowing he had been fully "vetted" for me, but I guess if you were a client paying that much money, you would expect the 'crème de la crème'? 🤔 I'm surprised there weren't more men she had previously auditioned who felt exactly the same as Channing! 🫣

Cher and Owen are literally a long time coming but meet many obstacles along the way. I was really rooting for them as I could see how much unconditional love they had for one another. Since Cher's tragic past 10 years ago, Owen has been there for her through thick and thin, helping her pursue her business and career, and overall accepting the nature of her work without judgement.

Channing does make an appearance in the book but as a potential candidate for another client of hers. Although Cher was dreading seeing him again, I'm glad they worked their differences out and could still be friends.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and had such a blast reading it! I somehow wished it was longer as I would have loved to have seen more interaction between Cher and Owen as a proper couple 🩷

I didn’t realize this was not a standalone but rather the second book. The author does try to give a recap of what happened and some of the background of the characters but there is a lot that is missing.

It is a nice quick read but I am still confused on how the matchmaking business started and how she came up with the addition process. The sex with clients in my opinion detracts away from the love story between Cher, Owen and Channing.

I didn't read the first book in this series but honestly, the author recaps the previous books pretty well within this book that I didn't feel the need to have to read that one first.

Definitely a quick and fun read! Lots of spicy scenes with an endgame that you hope for -- despite the curves that get thrown at the MCs. There isn't a lot of adventure or huge plot but the Cher (our MFC) does grow through the book as she works through her trauma and her love.

The characters are interesting - if a little horny but they are all attractive and wealthy, so who am I to judge? Cher's Matchmaker 360 business felt a little odd but made sense as a business model. I can imagine someone wanting to know EVERYTHING when spending thousands on getting a matchmaker; it would save time and make sure that each person fits what the other person is looking for.

I was so weirded out by the concept of Cher‘s matchmaking agency that it was very hard for me to actually enjoy this book. Also the characters were flat and their chemistry not there. It was also way too predictable.

⭐⭐.5/5

When I picked up More Than a Match I had no idea that it was the second book in the series. The premise of a matchmaker caught in a love triangle was enough to reel me in. Unfortunately, I think I needed some context from the first book to help me understand the main character's thought process.

The full 360 matchmaking experience seemed a little weird to me but hey, gotta love a world where women are secure in their potential relationships! This was also much less of love triangle and more of closure between Cher and Channing.

I would've loved to have seen more of the dynamic between Cher and Owen because the friends to lovers trope makes my heart happy. Overall, it did end up being a quick and spicy read, great for a weekend with no plans.

This is a quick read at less than 250 pages. I think that it's best to read this story and the first book in the series together. This book jumps right into the story from where book one ended. There is an explanation to fill in the gaps, but I went back to reread book one because I was confused.

I felt like the first book, Meet Your Match, ended on a cliffhanger, and I was happy to see that resolved in this story. I would have liked to see more development between Owen and Cher romantically. They have been friends for a long time, but I wanted to see more of them as a couple.

Thanks to NetGalley for an ARC of this book.

I requested this book because of the cover and the synopsis. I didn't know that it's the 2nd book in the series. However, I didn't find it necessary to read the first one to understand the 2nd.

The story was so simple, nothing interesting happened. The synopsis was explained in a way that it looks like a love triangle, but that was not the case. The endgame was pretty clear from the first. Also, I couldn't feel the chemistry between the main characters.

I, not at all, like the concept of 360 matchmaking. It's hard to imagine your man with someone else doing all that shit he is supposed to do with you. How can someone ask that? Also in the process of pleasing the matchmaker, isn't it obvious to develop feelings for her instead of the client? From the angle of the matchmaker, she will have a boyfriend and also spend most of her time in bed with some random guys?! That's basically prostitution!

I thought I would read the first book after finishing this one but this matchmaking concept is so bizarre that I couldn't convince myself to read the first.

-It was fun to learn about Cher, her job, and how she does it.

-Some of this book is a bit predictable, but that doesn’t take away from the story.

-I loved the fashion element of the story as well, it was so well done.

-This is the second book in a series, but you do not need to read the first one to follow the story.

More Than a Match was kindly provided as an ARC by Netgalley and Copper House Press. Thank you for allowing me to enjoy this wonderful book!

Release Date: Out Now!

In More Than a Match, we meet Cher, a woman who runs a company that matches couples. I won’t give away the story, but she has a specific way to do it. Cher runs into a man she has met before and felt an attraction too, but she is also just starting a relationship with her best friend Owen, who was there for her during some really hard times in her life.

Add in some jealousy, fashion, and some chemistry, and you have a fun and quick read that sucks you in.

Cher and her best friend Owen were going to leap from friends to lovers during their glamorous getaway to NY Fashion week. But her past, Channing, waltzed back into her life and Owen's ex is also back. Will Cher finally find her own HEA?

I like Cher a lot. I didn't read the other book in the series but had no problems following the book. It's fun and I enjoyed it. A quick fun read.

When I requested this book I didn't know there was a first book in the series. There is some information that would have been helpful to have background on but I don't think it was necessary to read and understand More Than a Match.

This was an easy and quick read. Not much happens in the book. I think this is made for people who want a quick read with some spice in it. I didn't love the idea of the Matchmaker doing 360 interviews. It felt very odd and putting myself in her client's shoes I know I wouldn't ask for one and can't picture others asking for that either. Maybe the first book goes into this but it would be interesting to know how she gets all these clients and how it was when she first started out. The way this was explained I thought there was going to be more of a love triangle situation or situations and that didn't end up being the case. It felt like the endgame was very clear from the beginning and it took forever for the main characters to get there.

‘More Then a Match’ is well written but it just wasn’t for me, I really couldn’t get into it. The cover is really nice though.

Ehh, not really of fan of this series. I read the first book, wasn't impressed with the characters, decided to read the second because it leaves off on a cliffhanger. The description of the books were really interesting, the cover was ok. The book is written very well and flows, but the concept of a 360 matchmaker I did not like. It doesn't really seem like a real service for a person looking for monogamy and such a bizarre concept that is basically prostitution. I also don't understand that all these great men she auditions with dates, she becomes surprised when they in turn like her?? It really detracts from the main plot and I don't the character's have redeeming qualities. Overall not for me. I received an ARC through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I read the first book earlier this year and I enjoyed this one much more! Cher is a matchmaker who only matches the elite but she has never thought about trying to match herself. Her long time best friend, Owen Hawking, is the perfect guy, but she is scared to take that leap. The only other guy that she has had feelings for, Channing, will be the perfect match for one of her clients, but she is insistent on Cher completing the full 360 experience for her. Owen takes Cher to New York for fashion week and they run into some drama there who thinks that she has claim to Owen. The fashion aspect was great and entertaining and overall, I love Cher and Owen and their friendship that could potentially turn into more.

I absolutely love books set in the fashion world so I was so excited to acquire this one with its unique storyline. I cannot wait to share my full review and thoughts, but I really like the plot, characters, and the cover will instantly attract and pull readers in!
