Blood Enchanted by Autumn Blake is a captivating paranormal fantasy featuring richly developed characters and a meticulously crafted plot. The novel shines in its focus on character growth, particularly with Jade, whose evolution throughout the story is compelling. I found the transformation of the brooding vampire into a tender romantic figure both charming and satisfying.
Though the story begins at a measured pace, it soon gathers momentum and becomes irresistibly engrossing. The dynamic between Jade and the Witches of Salem Coven adds a refreshing layer to the narrative, and the character of Liliane stands out as a wonderful great-aunt. It’s also gratifying to see the High Priestess in New Orleans acknowledge the burden she placed on her granddaughter.
Blake's attention to character development and the intriguing plot make Blood Enchanted a must-read for fans of the genre.
Ich weiß ehrlich gesagt nicht, wie ich dieses Buch bewerten soll, da ich es aufgrund relativ kurzer Ausleihdauer (ohne Verlängerung) nicht lesen konnte.
Love love love!!! This is a witch vampire suspense romance and it was to die for!!! This is the 2nd in the series but could definitely be read as a stand alone. However I will be reading the next book and waiting anxiously for it!!!
I just reviewed Blood Enchanted by Autumn Blake. #BloodEnchanted #NetGalley

thank you to netgalley for the advanced reading copy. I really enjoyed this and will be getting copies for my shop.
Thank you to Netgally, the publishers, and Autumn Blake
When I requested this book I was unaware that it was apart of a series, one that requires you to read the previous books for this one to make sense. I am unable to read all the previous books along with this one before the publish date. Therefore, I will rate this a fair 3/5 stars and will adjust the rating and review when I am able to read all the books in the series along with this one.
I feel like I should preface by saying, when I started reading this, I did not realize it was the second in a set. However, even though I did not read the first, they're more companion novels than one continuous story, so it was very easy to catch up with the who and what of this world. The story itself was interesting and compelling and blended well with the romance.
I really liked the dynamic between Jade and Alexei. Their bickering and bantering was lots of fun, and moved into romance very nicely. They were fun characters that I was genuinely happy to see work out.
All in all, a very fun (and spicy) read, and I am definitely going to have to circle back and read the first one now (my bad, lol).
I really enjoyed how the author really seemed to put forth a lot of character development in this second novel. Dual point of view in a romantic fantasy always helps you feel so much more connected to the characters and each of their journeys.
Blood Enchanted is the second installment of The Wicked Belles, so you'll want to pick up book 1 Bewitched Shadows first!
Check out Blood Enchanted if you love;
- Romantasy
- Witches/vampires,
- Dual POV
- Fated mates
- political intrigue
Oops I did it again. I requested a sequel not knowing it was a sequel and only figured it out after. I mean, it's a standalone from what I've gathered since finishing it and is fine as such. But maybe I would've had less confusion in the beginning had I been more aware of my error.
A fun fantasy with spice. The writing is on and I'm just mad at myself for putting it off so long
I received this book for netgalley in exchange for a review.
Alot of characters grabbed my attention and the way they were written is just amazing. The romance the banter. And steam yea there is steamy scenes that made me drop my mouth. It was so well written all over and i need to read some more from this author. Definitely recommend.
The second book in The Wicked Belles series is even better than the first one! I loved getting to know the new sister and the complicated situation she found herself in.
We got to understand better how all the supernatural interact (which was something that I felt was missing on the first one).
Overall, the MCs in this book have better development and interactions. I honestly cannot wait to read the next book!
It's a witch vampire, demons and shifter fantasy set in the contemporary period
The storyline is gripping .The vibes are wonderful. I was delighted with the world-building and the atmosphere. The banter was fun I very much liked that I couldn't connect with the characters and found them annoying at times but I did enjoy their development. In some scenes, I feel. like all the popular/ cliche lines are forced together. Do not get me wrong I love cliche dialogues but so many clubbed together and out of place got on my nerves. It also felt a bit stretched at times. But once the plot kicked in I found it hard to put down
It did give me tvd and original feels so that’s a plus. Most of The side characters were terrific. the ending was so satisfying. I love how badass Jade is
Blood Enchanted is the second novel in the wicked bells series. Thank you to Autumn Blake for giving me an ARC copy of this book in exchange for a honest review!
In this installment, we follow Jade, the eldest Belle sister and a witch in her grandmother's coven. The responsibility she carries for her family role weighs heavily on Jade's shoulders. In the aftermath of Samhain festival's disasters, Jade takes a role working alongside Alexei, the vampire prince. The two start on a quest to find the talisman before it's too late when one of the most dangerous talismans Jade is working on for Alexei is stolen.
Throughout this book, I loved the character development and insights we got between their two points of view. In my opinion, Alexi and Jade don't spend much time alone, but when they do, it's filled with their angst.
Defiantly recommend for fans of paranormal romance.
Thank you to Netgalley for allowing me to read and review.
I'd like to preface my review by saying, I had no idea this was a sequel when requesting. I usually like to check on Goodreads before to make sure but GR doesn't note this as a series, since book one was a standalone. Because of this, I had a bit of a harder time getting to understand and meet the characters at first.
This is giving cozy + fantasy + spice.
After a bad night at a mascarade ball, Jade Belle is sent to Salem to learn more of her Spirit Magick with her great Aunt. As she spends more time with the Salem sisters, she brings out her vulnerable side with Alexei and opens herself to more activities in dark magick.
When a magical talisman is stolen, she teams up with Alexei to find it along with learning more of what happened to the Bled Witch coven and their talismans. This becomes a terrible risk as Jade is kidnapped by Alexei's father and they must throw a coup to save themselves and bring peace among creatures.
Overall Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars
Autumn Blake's "Blood Enchanted" is a thrilling second installment in the Wicked Belles series, offering a sizzling paranormal romance between a guarded witch and an exiled vampire prince. Packed with action, intrigue, and a touch of forbidden love, the story kept me enthralled until the very last page.
Strengths:
Fast-paced and exciting: The story is brimming with action and adventure, throwing the characters into one perilous situation after another. This fast-paced narrative kept me on the edge of my seat, eager to find out what would happen next.
Compelling characters: Both Jade and Alexei are complex and intriguing individuals with their own unique strengths and flaws. I enjoyed witnessing their growth and development throughout the story, as they learned to overcome their past traumas and trust each other.
Intriguing world-building: The world of witches and vampires is vividly depicted, with its own set of rules, magic, and politics. Blake does a fantastic job of immersing the reader in this world, making it feel both familiar and fantastical.
Sizzling romance: The romance between Jade and Alexei is one of the highlights of the book. It's both passionate and forbidden, filled with tension and undeniable chemistry. I found their interactions to be captivating and deeply satisfying.
Areas for Improvement:
Dialogue: At times, the dialogue can feel slightly stilted and unnatural, lacking the fluid flow of everyday conversation. This could be further polished to enhance the character interactions.
World-building details: While the world-building is generally good, there are some aspects that could be further fleshed out. Providing more details about the different factions and their motivations would add depth and complexity to the story.
Pacing: The pacing of the story is generally good, but there are a few instances where it feels slightly uneven. Some sections could be condensed or streamlined to maintain a consistent and engaging flow.
Overall:
"Blood Enchanted" is an entertaining and thrilling paranormal romance that will appeal to fans of the genre. It offers a captivating blend of action, intrigue, and sizzling romance, all set within a richly imagined world. While there are some minor areas for improvement, the strengths of the story outweigh its weaknesses, making it a worthwhile read for anyone looking for a captivating escape.
Final Thoughts:
A thrilling paranormal romance with a fast-paced storyline and compelling characters.
Sizzling chemistry between the main characters that keeps you hooked.
Intriguing world-building with potential for further exploration.
Could benefit from slightly more polished dialogue and a more consistent pacing.
Recommended for:
Fans of paranormal romance, strong female leads, forbidden love, and action-packed adventures.
I really enjoyed this book! Thanks to netgalley, the publisher, and Autumn Blake for this arc opportunity.
This was a great fantasy romance that consisted of some of my favorite book traits - dual pov, loveable characters, fated mates. The spice and romance was well-d0ne with this book and the plot/characters kept my attention captivated. I'm obsessed with Alexei!!
I highly recommend checking out this book - The Wicked Belles Books have been a joy to read!
I love a good dual POV and this didn't disappoint. I enjoyed the paranormal romance between a witch and an exiled vampire. Truth be told it's probably 50-100 pages too long but once the plot picked up I had a hard time putting it down. And for those looking for a good balance of romance, tension, and spice..this book is for you. It's worth mentioning that this is the second book in a series; however, it reads like a stand alone.
This is the second in the Wicked Belles series and I loved going back to this world. It was a little difficult to read Alexi as a good guy, definitely morally grey. However, Jade is wonderful and the cameos of Ember and Killian from the first book were really fun. Autumn has a great writing style. Not massive amounts of world building and she keeps the story moving along at a good pace. The spice was excellent! If you like witches, vampires, demons and all the rest, then this is for you!
Big thanks to NetGalley and Autumn Blake for this early release copy in exchange for my honest review
- Romance/Fantasy (modern setting)
- Witches, vampires, politics
- Dual POV 😍
- Fated mates, insta lust, jealousy
- TW: physical abuse, death
The things I most enjoyed:
- the banter
- the character development
- the magic system and the clear explanation of it
Jade and Alexei stole my heart. I will always love Killian and Ember, but something about Jade's story was so relatable. I was so invested in her pursuit of finding herself as a witch and within her coven. I also loved her dynamic with Alexei. They are the picture of reverse grumpy x sunshine and I adored it. After seeing glimpses of the characters in the first book, I really loved getting to see the complex layers of Jade and Alexei. And then, there's their tension and chemistry. The romance between them was so on point and I was dying for them to get together.
I really enjoyed this book and look forward to more by Autumn. Her writing was amazing. Well done and makes you want to keep going.
This is book 2 of a series. Luckily both books are available via Kindle unlimited.
I will rereview when I've completed them both.
This book is the second in a series and follows the story of Jade, a spirit withc and Alexei, the Prince of the vampires. The premise is great. I love the taming of the shrew theme and all that, but I feel like it was not what it could have been.
The story for me was a bit slow and boring. We do not get many moments between the two protagonists and those moments we get are not full of great conversations and banter. I feel like they do not evolve as they should throughout the book.
Also, the plot itself was a bit confusing to me. The goal of Jade and Alexei was not clear for me (they want to find the staff, also kill Alistair, or maybe not?).
All in all, not great.
