GIMME- all the dark, eerie circus romance vibes. ⁣
When Logan and Sienna, they shouldn’t make sense. She’s the outcast, he’s the wealthy circus owner, but the chemistry is tantalizing !⁣

I loved that Sienna had everything stacked up against her from the beginning. No one wanted her in the circus. She was the town outcast. But she prevailed and never gave up. ⁣
Logan kept warning her about his darkness, over and over again; letting her know, that he would kill, could kill; but their connection was burning from the get go.⁣

This is book one of this circus trilogy, so many secrets and evil people along the ride, a circus “family” full of them; she sort of kept her distance until that cliffy at the end. ⁣

The suspense and eeriness was perfect for this story. I can’t wait to read where the story picks up. ⁣
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

This book was pretty steamy. It was a good read, but I feel so badly for Sienna. The poor girl has had such a hard life and had the chance for a happier life only to have it ripped away. I really want to know what comes next.

First I would like to thank Dreamscape Media for providing an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This is the story of Sienna, small town barista, who is taken to the Cirque des Miroirs by her friend where she saved by Logan when some local boys tried to attack her. As a person with limited experience Sienna is fascinated by Logan and after another altercation agrees to join the circus and get out of her small town. As she wasn't asked to join the circus for her skills Sienna has to work to convince the performers she is one of them and now just the boss' girlfriend.

What I Loved:
- Small Town Texas, Logan finds Sienna in a small Texas town and being from Texas I think they did a great job portraying that type of culture
- Circus, I grew up going to circuses and I loved the idea that the Cirque des Miroirs is the modern version of that without animals but adopting new technologies
- Psychic, Sienna is asked to stand in for the circus psychic while the original is away and I loved how much joy Sienna got from this role and it would be so fun to be able to do that
- Cirque des Miroirs, the history of the circus is super interesting and the why Logan decides to take over was not what I was expecting
- Family, the circus is Logan's family and he will do anything for family even if it goes against what he wants for himself
- Audiobook quality, Dreamscape Media does an amazing job with the quality of their audiobooks and always get amazing narrators for the stories. This audiobook did not disappoint and I did not lose any quality when listening at 2X speed

If you are interested in a darker romance with a circus theme and real life situations I would absolutely recommend this book for you. The audiobook is a short listen with the highest quality so if you are looking to get into romance audiobooks this would be a great introduction. I do have to warn to look for any trigger warnings as well as the fact that this book ends on a cliffhanger. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series cause I have to know what happens to Sienna and Logan.

We need half stars! I give this 3.5 stars I did not know what I was getting into when I started this book but the book kept me on my toes. I thought from the cover it was going to be just about a spicy romance but it’s not that it’s about deeper topics like trauma and escaping a small town when you have nothing. I think the title was perfect because the MMC has all the red flags and it also relates to the circus.

The main reason I didn’t give this a 5 star was mostly because it did get a little repetitive FMC kept thinking/saying Logan was only after sex so many times. I also did not understand the relationship with Travis, Kyle, and Sienna. And the endings cliffhanger did upset me 😆 how can you end it like that!

This is also not my typical genre that I read but it definitely has left me wanting to read more from the series and more from the genre.

I listened to the audio and the narrations did a great job!

Thank you NetGalley for the chance to review the audiobook!

I'll admit at first I was like, circus theme? Meh. But you know what? I actually really enjoyed this book. It has a mysterious vibe that is perfect for the Halloween season although that is not needed to read this book. This book has some dark themes and plenty of character growth and the ending will have you yearning for the next book straight away. I will say I did not see that end coming and I'm interested in finding out what happens in the next book. This book is aptly named as Red Flags because there are plenty. The spicy scenes are hot and the in between times are interesting and exciting.

Thank you NetGalley, Dreamscape Media and the author for the advanced copy of the audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

Red Flags by Skye Warren
Netgalley Review
2.5 stars

The first third of this book, I was not really feeling it. My least favorite trope of all time is insta love and this book secured itself when after one meeting with Logan, our MMC, sienna suddenly thinks something along the lines of “I fully trust this man.” From a woman who has been abused all her life, that's generally not how that works.

My second let down was my own mistake, I was under the impression after Sienna’s “friend” mentions there is something fishy about the circus and then later hints that the distance traveled by the circus seems unnatural that this novel was going to be about a secretly magical circus.

After getting over these issues though, I did enjoy the whole circus family even if Sienna was treated as an outcast. Her character stays really strong through the whole book and she is probably what kept me so invested in the long run.

Logan’s very vocal flirting seems out of place but wasn't terrible, but a choice he makes later in the book was unforgivable. His character makes such a sudden change and shows not a single hint or confusion, or sadness, and it just really cements this character as an asshole.

I don't even want to touch on the cliffhanger. It made no sense to me and seemed completely out of thin air that this happened and “book convenient” in its timing.

Will I read the next book? Yes. Where this book lacks it makes up for it with my intrigue of the circus family and Sienna. I need to continue their story.

Thank you NetGalley for the ALC!

I enjoyed the narration of this book very much. I wish it was dual narrators, but then the book would need to also be dual POV (which I do think would have helped me enjoy this book more!).

Sienna is a small town girl and the circus comes to her tiny town, so some obscure reason.

She and her friend go to the circus and Sienna steps in to help a friend that's being bullied, only to run straight into Logan.

Logan is the owner of the circus, and he's dark and brooding and sexy.

There are secrets revealed between them as well secrets kept and ones that didn't get answered in this first book. We get a big cliffhanger ending that will make you want to read the second book.

I gave 3 stars because while the writing is fine and the narration is good something happens at the end of this book that was completely out of character for one of these MCs and I just can't wrap my head around why the author would chose it.

This book is a little dark though not quite as dark as some others I've read, but still check the TW's. And it's mildly spicy even though the scenes are explicit.

First of all WOW. Between Skye's beautiful writing with her detailed descriptions and the great narration I felt like I was at the circus. This book is suspenseful and kept me intrigued. I binged the whole thing so fast. I can't wait for the next one.

Logan is a TOTAL Red flag, along with most of the circus. The morally grey is strong. I will say Sierra is only 19 and her immaturity really shows imo. I'm hoping we see some growth in this next one.

I can't wait to see where this series goes next.

The narration was beautiful and she did a great job.

This book kept me on the edge of my seat and ended on a cliffhanger!! I need to read/listen to the next book- I’m dying to know what happens! Great listen

I think there was a lot of potential but I wish the circus setting was more developed. It felt like just an excuse for Sienna to make a quick getaway from her hometown and to lend an air of "mystery" to Logan and his crew. The character development also felt a bit weak and rushed. Why would the cynical FMC trust the random unknown MMC after such brief encounters? There's also a lot of abuse and toxicity which made it less palatable. Most of the characters are not likable and while the plot is advancing throughout the story, it doesn't feel like much of anything significant is happening for a while. I did like the narrator and it was a quick book to listen to. If you're into morally grey characters, age gaps, and toxic relationships/friendships then this might interest you.

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the eAudio ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I'm a sucker for a circus setting so add a romance and I'm interested. I did enjoy the circus although I wish it would have been a more prominent story aspect. It felt very background and uninteresting. I liked that the fmc left her abusive family situation. That's where my enjoyment ended. These characters talked and acted like they knew each other far longer than the day that they did. Because of this, the chemistry wasn't there. Her nickname Sunset was laughable, it felt like her nickname was chosen way before the story was written because it made no damn sense to her character. The smut was cringe to listen to and the audio narration was very monotone. I have a feeling this is going to be a duology or series and it really didn't need to be. All in all, I gave it 2 stars.

Never has the name of a book fit more perfectly. The male "hero" in this book had soooo many red flags that the female lead should have taken it as a clue and gone the other direction from him. Logan told Sienna he'd break her or hurt her. But she'd been hurt and broken by others already so she wasn't afraid of what he threatened. Yet if she'd only known what would happen.

This was such an addictive read and I inhaled the entire thing in one day. I was gifted with an early copy of the audiobook and it was quite enjoyable. The narration really fit the characters in the storyline and kept me completely glued to the book. Now I'm just left waiting anxiously for the second book to release.

Thank you to NetGalley for this early listening copy. I voluntarily chose to review it and the opinions contained within are my own.

Red Flags turned out to be a perfect October read. The circus vibes were dark and mysterious with the perfect bits of spice and emotions woven in. I really enjoyed the characters, Logan and Sienna, for how they came off as opposites attract. Logan gave off some of our favorite "touch her and die" vibes and Sienna was continuously strong despite the unfortunate circumstances she continuously had around her. The cliffhanger left me wanting more and I can't wait for the second book in this series!

Thanks to NetGalley for this audiobook.

Red Flags was pretty middle of the road for me. The writing was fine but not stellar. There was more abuse/negativity than spice which wasn’t what I was hoping for. The main character has absolutely no self confidence and a totally negative view of the world in general. I didn’t realize until 90% or so that she was 19 so some of that kind of made sense. This was definitely more bleak of a story than I expected.

2.5 rounded down because I can’t quite give it a 3.

The narration of this audiobook was excellent. I enjoyed really enjoyed the story! Age gap, morally grey male and circus?! Yes please! I was sad when it ended but knowing this is a series and that there’s more to come just makes me more excited for the next book.

Suspenseful, rievting and addictive I was so hooked on this story and the narrators did such a amazing job I ate this story up a possessive man is my kryptonite.

These characters will leave you spellbound and that ending left me breathless a must read.

“5 stars!”

I enjoyed this book, but what a cliffhanger! The narrator did a wonderful job. I am still fairly new to audiobooks and I am very picky about the narration, but she did very well. The story hooked me from the very beginning, and it kept me entertained throughout. There is so much intrigue and so many unanswered questions. The story ended so abruptly, that I was almost upset before remembering that this is a series. It has the makings of a very interesting dark romance, and Logan was everything you'd want to read about. He was the morally grey circus owner who had our FMC twisted up in knots. I will be excited to read the next installment to see what comes next!

Oh wow, that was absolutely fantastic. It almost felt like a fantasy novel with Skye's beautiful descriptions, the general whimsiness of the carnival and the dark undercurrent you could feel from the beginning. I wasn't quite sure what to expect going into Red Flags, but I've come out completely memorized and unaliving that book two isn't out yet.

The audio was really good, I loved Leanne Woodward as Sienna and the rest of the cast. She did a great job and I can't wait to listen again before White Lies comes out.

I am so in love with Sienna. This girl is tough as nails and so beaten down you can't help but root for her to fight her way to the top. The way she holds herself and reacts to the situations around her were just so good. For the longest time we have no clue exactly how old Logan is, but I loved the age gap feel from the start. He's this dark, mysterious older man swooping in to save this young woman he's completely enamored with and I loved every moment.

Well, except for the end. Freaking dumb dumb. I can't wait for White Lies to release if for nothing else than Sienna to give him a piece of her mind and maybe a swift kick to the jewels. But then I can't wait for their happily ever after to commense, because honestly, these two deserve every bit of it. Also really excited to learn more about Logan's past and what's up with Alessandra and really everyone at Cirque des Miroirs.
