Ana is an autobuy author for me!! BUT you can tell this is her first books - the writing is a bit upended sometimes and I don’t really like third person POV - which this book was. BUT i love the premise of the year abroad, first love and blake and farrah’s story was so sweet - I NEED TO READ THE SECOND NOW

I’ve never read anything by this author so I figured I would give it a shot and before I knew it I was half way through the book. It’s a quick read that kept me engaged the entire time. Now I have to read the follow up because I need to know how it all ends. I can honestly say I see why so many people are fans of the author. She knows how to get readers invested in characters and how to keep the story moving at a steady pace. I’d definitely recommend others check out this book. It was hard to put this one down.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the arc.

This book was so good I was literally in denial it was over. Farrah and Blake have such a beautiful first love story, that is put at risk by one night and the impeding end of their overseas studies. Their love blooms slow and sweet but by the end of this book I was heartbroken for the characters. I can’t to get my hands on the next one and hear more of their story.

I have listened to one other series written by Ana Huang. I jumped at getting this book. I loved the friendships. The location was interesting and made this an original read for me. It was heartwarming at first. A slow burn that had me laughing at times, and smiling so much. Then the heartbreak hit. We were warned it was coming with prologue. The cliffhanger left me in tears. I am so broken and angry for Farrah. I have major mixed feelings for Blake. He must redeem himself in a huge way. So many emotions right now. I'm so ready for a HEA for these two.

A really great first book in a duology from Ana Huang. The only thing i didn't appreciate is the cheating trope between our MMCs but otherwise, this was a great book!

📖📖 Book Review 📖📖 This was my first Ana Huang book and will not be my last. This book perfectly captures that feeling when young love breaks your heart into a million pieces…a feeling that no matter how old I get and secure I am in my amazing marriage, can still shoot a little ping into my heart because it was such a pivotal milestone in life. Farrah is off for the adventure of a lifetime in Shanghai and she has no idea the wild ride she is in for when she meets Blake. If We Ever Meet Again evokes so many heartfelt emotions, a beautiful journey back to young love.

I enjoyed this book very much! The characters were well developed and the storyline kept me engaged the whole way through. I’d definitely recommend this book to others.

I just want to start out by saying that the synopsis on Goodreads says that there is no cliffhanger, but I beg to differ~!!!!!!! And the next one takes place five years later??? I'm shooketh. I need the next one immediately, IMMEDIATELY!!!!!

It was okay, definitely not favorite by Ana. I got a bit bored throughout and was not a big fan of the characters. I always enjoy Ana’s writing style though.

This is my first Ana Huang book and it certainly won't be my last. This is the first book in a duet about Farrah and Blake's friends to lovers romance during their year in Shanghai. Can't wait to follow up with book two in this series.

I really enjoyed this. I could tell it was written before the Twisted series. Ms. Huang has honed her craft since this was written. I wish that this had been written as one large book instead of a duet. It would’ve been long but I prefer romance books to be one; just a personal preference.
The characters were well-developed and seemed mature for their ages. I probably would’ve enjoyed this even more if I were younger. I think maybe I am a bit old for this book.

Thank you to Sourcebooks| Bloom Books for the ARC of this one. I have never read a book by Ana Huang before but have seen her name many times. I know a lot of people really enjoy her writing. That being said, this one really wasn't for me. It was so hard for me to get into and I just found that I was dreading reading it. I did not find either main character likeable, especially the MMC. I would be willing to try another book by this author but I can't recommend this one. I appreciate the chance to read an advance copy.

Cute, easy read about Farrah & Blake who met while in Shanghai studying abroad.
The 3rd person POV threw me off a bit since the rest of her books aren't written the same but it kept me hooked, no less.

I love Ana Huang but honestly not my favorite of her books. It was hard to stay Into it and I realized I don’t like accidental pregnancy or cheating tropes. The writing was a little too high school for me. I do still love this author though and will continue reading everything she writes

I have to stop and think about what I want to say here...
He cheats. He cheats big time and there is NO coming back from that, ever.
Blake is a cheater.
Farrah is a young teen, expecting to fall in love. She has a very bad picker, cuz the two she's interested in are no-go's.
Blake and Farrah are NA/teen/college-y.
I liked the setting of Shanghai but, he cheats.

If Ana Huang writes it then I know I am going to love it. If We Ever Meet Again is no exception. I loved this book. I loved the characters. This story had me in my feels. It was full of every emotion. The slow burn was great and I loved Blake and Farrah.
Thank you for the opportunity to read this!

This is going to be my first spoiler review; so you’ve been warned (like I was NOT). I enjoyed this story but there is one fatal flaw that’s given me pause to finish the duet.
A re-issue of one of her original books, IWEMA is filled with nostalgia inducing young adult freedom. A year abroad can be as daunting as it is exhilarating and Farrah and Blake’s story doesn’t fall short on drama. From nights out on the town with their core group of friends to quiet nights in with dreams of the future, IWEMA’s aura perfectly reflects new adult college life. I found myself lost in the journey of them finding young true love.
Here comes the spoiler. The story opens with their breakup…so as a reader you’ll spend the entire series wondering how they get to that point; I personally love when authors do this as I feel it drives imagination. That’s not the spoiler. HOWEVER, this opening is sliiiiightly misleading in a way I cannot redeem the MMC. Reader…he cheats. Now I had hope it was classic miscommunication or maybe the spiteful ex is lying. Those could be tough to read BUT redeemable. But no, no indication of those; it seems the hero has fallen and is actually a jerk because then he LIES FOR WEEKS and dumps the FMC in a truly unkind way and STILL NEVER TELLS HER THE TRUTH??!!! Hello?!
This broke the book for me, at at 80% I roughed it out to finish. I was hoping there would be some illusion given that it’s not as it seems and leave the reader hope. But alas, this is my first romance with a HEA and I say that BECAUSE it truly felt that way. Cheating aside, the MMCs actions after left me feeling that nothing he did/said could redeem him and I couldn’t fully believe the FMC welcoming him back. I’m hesitant to read the second only because this left me feeling so disappointed. I’ve never felt so conflicted!

Thank you NetGalley and Sourcebooks Bloom Books for ARC in exchange for my review.
Blake and Farrah met while in China learning abroad. He’s the super football player jock and she’s a virgin. . . . We know where this is going.
My opinion- a mature hs or college level read.
I did enjoy the highlights of China. Huang wrote about food and sites. I didn’t realize the Wall was so huge (?)
Not her best writing. I read this in a 36 hours. Not that it was a page turner just an easy peasy read for a mature audience. Love/sex want/desire content.

4 stars for this one!! Ana huang does it again with an amazing book. I loved the study abroad theme and Blake and Farrah were so cute. The found family trope was also done really well and I loved how supportive they were of each other. I can’t wait to read book two to see what happens next! Thank you NetGallery for this amazing arc!

I LOVED THIS BOOK!
All of it, the characters, the story, the pacing...it was brilliant fun! Come on Blake, pull it together!!!
