This book was not my cup of tea. I did not enjoy the tropes and quite honestly it made me mad. It was also way too short for my taste. I usually like books by this author but this book was just not it.

I LOVED THIS BOOK! The concept and the way that If We Ever Meet Again is written is so simple and easy to follow that it feels like brain candy! I felt like I was in middle school reading a random Wattpad story and I mean that in the most respected, most enjoyed kind of way! I was obsessed with the story line, the larger cast of characters, the plot movements, and just the general book. I never wanted to put this book down!
This book is so cute because it's like a coming of age story + romance and really, what more could you want? The ebbs and flows of the friends in the friend groups, in the main characters relationships, and in each character's individual life adds so much movement and change that when you finish the books you feel like you have really watched the characters bloom and grow throughout the story.
If you do not have book 2 in this series on hand, you heart may break a little at the ending (like mine did), but it makes me even more excited to read book 2 and the other two books in the series! A very easy 5 star ranking from me!
Thank you so much to Bloom Books for an e-ARC of this wonderful book in exchange for an unbiased review!💖

I'm in love with this book, it has my heart. This quote is everything - "I think—” Blake’s voice turned rough. “You’re a smartass who’s too stubborn for your own good. I think you drive me crazier than any person ought to. And I think I might die if I can’t be with you."

DNF @ 50% - I absolutely adore the Twisted and King of Sins series, so I was super invested to read Ana Huang’s first series!! however, there is absolutely nothing similar about them. I couldn’t get invested in the characters, and the cheating trope (even if it’s just emotional cheating) is a big nope from me. I had to DNF rather than put myself through more triggers than I could handle…

Captivating tale that weaves romance and destiny with a deft touch. I think the story is both engaging and heartfelt, This is going to draw you into a world where past and present collide. The characters are richly developed, and their journey is filled with emotional depth and unexpected twists. This novel is a testament to the power of second chances and the enduring nature of love. A must-read for those who believe in the magic of reconnection.

My favorite quote from the book - "I think—” Blake’s voice turned rough. “You’re a smartass who’s too stubborn for your own good. I think you drive me crazier than any person ought to. And I think I might die if I can’t be with you."

The emotions and the romantic tension really defines their relationship. Enjoy the read!

I really enjoyed this book. I've read Ana Huang's latest series, the Twisted series and Kings of Sins series, and I was curious about this series. It kind of threw me off at first with it being in 3rd person but after a little bit it didn't bother me as much. There was a great representation for friendship and found family. The side characters were absolutely wonderful. Farrah and Blake were super cute and I loved their friendship turn relationship. Loved this and I can't wait to read more in the series!

Thank you Sourcebooks, Bloom books & netgalley for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! I was hooked from the very beginning and could not put this book down! The setting of this book was unlike many others, taking place in different parts of Asia. I loved learning about the little details from each place they visited and even recognizing some of the local foods and words while reading this book. Now.. Let's talk about the ending.. THE ENDING?!?! I REFUSE TO BELIEVE THAT BLAKE WOULD EVER DO THAT?!?! LIKE HELLO??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW? THERES NO WAY!!!! NO NO NOOO!!!! How do I move on? Something is not adding up!!

I am intrigued to read the next book in this series to see what happens next but I am genuinely at a loss for words...

This is a re-release of a book written before the TikTok famous Twisted series. There is a cheating/pregnancy trope in the book, but with a twist. I found it to be entirely predictable and could have called the reveal from a mile away. It has been done over and over and over again. This book was written in 2020 but it reads like a wattpad story from 2011.

Going into this book I knew it was a re-release. I enjoy seeing writers in their first books as they've evolved into their writing styles, especially someone as popular as Ana Huang. This is completely different than anything she has ever written. This book is very predictable, even the ending. I will read the second book as it is a duet.

I did enjoy the book, even though it was a bit predictable. I enjoyed the setting of Shanghai and how it served as a character of their story. It was a cute story of young/college love and I'm anxious to read the next one in this duet.

Thanks to Net Galley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review as always, all words are my own.

3 Stars If We Ever Meet Again is one of Ana Huang's earlier books that is being reprinted. Having read her Twisted series and Kings of Sin series, I gave this one three stars since I know she's capable of even better writing. That being said, I still like this one, it was just more predictable than her other books. The banter and conflict between the MCs is good and it was enjoyable. I'm excited to read the second book in this duet.

Ana Huang’s book, If We Ever Meet Again, is definitely one of her earlier books. Does t live up to her other novels. This is part of a series and I hope the next one is better.

SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books and NetGalley provided me with a copy of the ebook in exchange for an honest review. Thank you both!

I am a huge fan of Ana Huang, especially her King of Sins and Twisted series. I have been meaning to pick up this series for a while, but I never see it at the store and unfortunately always forget to place an order online. Seeing this pop up on NetGalley was the push I needed.

This was my least favorite series by Ana Huang so far, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t good. After all, one of them has to fall on the bottom of the list.

Why did it rate lowest on my list? Well, it was harder to connect with the characters of this series and it was a bit more predictable than the others. It was still a good read, but I liked the amount of banter and easy to connect to characters from the others. If this was written by a different author, I’d rate it 4 stars. However, I know what this author is capable of and that causes this book to somewhat fall short and only earn 3 stars.

I replied enjoyed the Twisted series but Ana so I was super excited for this one. However, it ended up falling short for me. I just couldn’t connect with FMC. Her personality just didn’t hold that much depth. I liked watching the relationship develop from friends, to lovers, to then getting torn apart at the end. I’m not sure if I will end up continuing this series.

Blake and Farrah meet during a study abroad program in Shanghai. She’s a hopeless romantic and he doesn’t want any commitments. They have one year together and then need to go back to the real world after graduation. What could go wrong?

Was this a bit predictable? Yes. Did I eat it up? Also yes. I really enjoyed Blake and Farrah’s banter and where their story is headed – I just wish it didn’t end on a cliffhanger! Guess that means I’m bopping over to KU for book 2.

Thank you to Ana Huang, Sourcebooks Bloom Books, and NetGalley for the e-copy in exchange for my honest review.

commentary on the human condition, weaving philosophical questions into the fabric of its narrative. The author's skillful use of language not only enriches the text but also elevates the reader's experience, offering new perspectives on familiar themes. Whether it's the intricate dynamics of relationships, the exploration of identity, or the confrontation with ethical dilemmas, this book tackles complex issues with sensitivity and intelligence.

this book feels very different from other Ana Huang books. i tend to believe it’s due to third pov and style of writing ana had during the older period of time. i couldn’t connect to characters and i found them little bit annoying. however, i liked the story, it was entertaining and i was very exited about the next book until.. i knew this trope was included, but this was cruel. i honestly wasn’t expecting it to happen in similar circumstances. i felt bad for female main character and i respect the way she handled situation. ay least in this book, because they have happy ending?
will continue with the series. hope he shows himself better because as of now i don’t understand him. i do believe he was drunk and stuff could happen but not telling Farrah and letting her believe there is not big reason is wrong.

A perfect fit for readers who crave a slow-burning, emotional, and poignant New Adult romance that explores the complexities of love, identity, and the challenges of young adulthood, set against the vibrant backdrop of Shanghai and featuring a swoon-worthy, opposites-attract romance.

Thanks Netgalley for the opportunity to review this book.

This book is nor an ARC since it was published a while ago.

This was a great read, a bit on the slow side since we already now what happened (because of the prologue)

I really dislike when lying is how a couple ends, telling the truth would have been way easier and less painful, but less entertaining I'm guessing.

Excited to read the conclusion to their story in the next one.
