I liked this one but I didn't completely connect with it. I will look forward to more from Shirley Day though!

The book rushes you through an epic tale. It was fun and exhausting to read with action from all sides. The story never stopped between school fights, dog saving, glasses finding and beach swimming. There was an undercurrent of romance that was welcome but friendship and finding yourself was central to it all.

Shirley Day! The Insiders Club! I loved this short and sweet romcom.
It was my first read for Shirley Day and I was not disappointed. If anything I wanted more. The book being only 240 pages left me longing for more from the characters. It was a super easy, relatable, charming, quick read.

Synopsis--
Hannah is engaged and ready to a man she loves when she finds him with another woman. She, along with her sister and her bestie, decide that she needs a break. When they see an ad for someone looking for help with cooking in Bermuda, Hannah fakes her CV and heads to the island.
Ed is a single father of a five year old sassy little girl who wants all her other nannies or helpers out of the house. But when Hannah takes interest in the child, things change. Over time, Hannah falls in love with the child and Ed. Does Ed return the sentiment?

There seems to be a few mixed reviews for this book. I don’t read reviews before I read a book. But I saw them after I was done.
Well,…I liked it!
I love the way the author writes, I love the pacing of the book, I love the premise of the book, I love the title and the cover of the book.
Could there be more depth to the Relationship? Yes!
Could it have been a bit more substantial in the storyline? Yes!
Does it leave us wanting a bit more? Yes!
But I still enjoyed it.
In a world where there are so many many books that are too lengthy, and there’s not enough time to read them, I appreciated a book that got to the point.
Which seems to be the negative that a lot of readers bring up.
They feel like it got to the point too quickly.
But I like that about this book.
I look forward to reading more by this author.

Thank you to author, Shirley Day, NetGalley, and victory editing Kelly co-op for the opportunity to read this book ahead of publication date.

Hannah leaves behind her job in journalism when she is jilted at the altar. She decides to take on a job as a nanny on the idyllic island of Bermuda, working for wealthy widower and newspaper owner Ed Stanmore. Yet despite her vow to stay away from men, she finds herself falling for Ed but is unsure of his feelings. So when Hannah’s past comes back to haunt her, she’s forced to decide what she really wants and where she belongs.
This was a quick read, but I was disappointed that Hannah and Ed’s relationship was not fully explored. Consequently, the chemistry between the couple never seemed to take off and the ending too rushed. The character of Boo, Ed’s daughter provided another dimension to this story and her character, seemed more mature than those of the adults responsible for her.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I loved this book. There were parts that could use improvement but still, it was a very good book. Hannah wanted a change in her life and she found the perfect thing. The way she and Ed danced around each other, the tension. You could see that he cared and wanted her and liked her but he just didn't say anything and didn't show it. It was frustating, poor Hannah just didn't know what to do. They were from diferent worlds and she needed reassurence from him and she didn't get it. At the end, the airport scene, it was all hilarious and so sweet too. I loved Boo, such a sweet little girl and the patience everyone had for Tara, Lord have mercy that wouldn't be me for sure. Overall, it was a very good book and I really enjoyed it

Sorry but this was just horrible. The only character I liked was Boo because she was so cute. Hannah and Ed had no chemistry and they never talked about anything. They were both such doormats who never stood up for themselves.

I received an arc through netgalley.

ARC REVIEW*

I enjoyed reading this book because of the relationship between Hannah and Boo. I loved how she interacted and helped Boo be more confident in herself.

I did not see the attraction or the relationship between Hannah and the mmc. They are barely around each other but somehow are obsessed. I also dont understand how someone who is trained to be a therapist can act the way he did and not know how to communicate with Hannah and Tara. He also seems oblivious a lot, and I don't see how Hannah can fall for someone who who flip flops that much.

If the romance part was not in the story, though, it would be a great story of Hannah finding where she belongs after the heartbreak disaster and falling in love with a family.

She was left at the altar and because she couldn't bare the thought of seeing everyone she knew feeling sorry for her she took a nwe job as a nanny to a 5 year olg girl in an island of Bermuda , The father is a handsome widower who is an editor to a newspaper . She doesn't tell him the truth that is a journalist . Will she find what she really needs with Ed and Boo ?
I received this book from netgalley and the publicer as an ARC . Thank you . All thoughts and opinions are my own .

Thank you to the author for sending me a free ARC.

The cover was what first made me want to read the Insider’s Club. It was also my first book by the author so I figured I would try it.

The story was good however I found it a bit rushed and I found that the main characters lacked chemistry.

I did like Boo a lot, although it often felt like she was 10 years old rather than 5 years old.

Hannah is left at the alter when a picture of her fiance kissing another girl is leaked right before the ceremony. She drops everything and moves to Bermuda to be a nanny for single dad, Ed. I immediately knew where this story would go and while it was a cute, easy read, it was very predictable.

I find it difficult to read second chance romance stories, but this one just felt so easy to read. I liked it and will be recommending it from here on out!

I would love to thank Netgalley, the publisher and the author for granting my request to read this book in exchange for a honest review

it was kind of predictable;I knew hannah and Ed will definitely come together. I didn't feel any chemistry between hannah and jaz(maybe because the story is not about them), I also didn't feel any chemistry between hannah and Ed. Personally it felt one sided, hannah was on a rebound; she was trying to fill the emptiness she felt and fortunately she found love again.
The characters lacked depth, everything was rushed from friendships to relationships to hannah bonding with Boo. Boo seems a lot mature than a five year old. Alot of things didn't add up.

Overall it was a very easy and light read

Thank you for the book once again❤

he can win me any day of the week. I was hooked and loved it from start to finish. Must read it and you will understand and be hooked.

I took this up in the hope of it being a light relaxing read, and it was mostly what I expected, though it could have been better.

Hannah Clark is getting married in church and as she reaches the place, she sees her fiancée Jaz run out with her dad and sister Kerry shouting and following him. A photo of Jaz kissing someone else had been posted just prior to the planned wedding. Hannah’s marriage gets called off and her friend Nat and sister Kerry lend their support for her to move on. Hannah is a journalist but decides to move away from the place and applies for a position of a nanny to a child, while not being entirely truthful about her culinary and childcare skills. Ed Stanmore, who’s daughter Boo, she is to take care of, meets her at the airport and takes her to his house. Hannah struggles with her feelings for Ed, and there is also a lot of politics to contend with in the locality.

As a quick and easy read, this was very much what I expected. The relationship between Hannah and Ed (as also her past one with Jaz) is poorly developed and offers nothing new or specific to this story. While the ending is what one would expect, the lead-up to the finish is poor.

Overall, a nice quick read, which had more potential.

Thank you Netgalley, the author and the publishers for letting me read an advanced copy. I really wanted to love this book since i was really excited to read it, but I sadly didn't. I felt like the main characters were lacking chemistry and throughout the book thought the story kind of felt a bit rushed at times. I am glad I still got a chance to read it though.

Hannah was jilted at the alter, and escaped to Bermuda for a nanny job.

I had high hopes for this - the premise looked fun and it has some of my favorite tropes in it, but this book just didn't work for me. The beginning felt all over the place. By the time we actually get to the romance, I didn't feel connected to Hannah, so it was hard to be invested in this story. I really wanted to like it.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the advanced digital reader's copy (ARC) in exchange for an honest review!
