Thank you to NetGalley & Passion Productions for an ARC of this book, in exchange for my honest opinion.

I wanted to love this book, based on the blurb, but it felt too rushed and chaotic to truly enjoy.

Hannah’s life is in ruin after her fiancé leaves her at their wedding, and she is left devastated and heart broken. Wanting to get away she takes a job in Bermuda, for Ed Stanhope, nannying his daughter Boo.

Hannah had to lie a bit with her references to secure the job, but she’s hired and heads to Bermuda ready to focus on her new job. But when she arrives, it’s one ridiculous incident after another. Ed is giving her mixed signals as her boss. His daughter Boo is extremely difficult to handle. And no one on the island is welcoming her arrival. In a series of what feels like disaster after disaster, Hannah tries to navigate her time in Bermuda without failing at her new job.

This was a short and easy read but so much of the story felt rushed, and chaotic. Characters lacked any depth, and most of the scenarios in the story were just too far fetched to imagine. I’m thankful for the opportunity I had to read this book, but ultimately it wasn’t an enjoyable read.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Deceit and miscommunication set the tone for this one. Ridiculous, over the top scenarios and no chemistry between the main characters. The best part of the story was Boo, a five year old who is seemingly the most mature person in the book. This one definitely wasn't for me. It was a really quick read though, so I did finish it, although I kept hoping it would get better. Really not what I was expecting.

The Insider’s Club at the heart of heart is a feel-good romantic comedy with well fleshed out characters and plot. It is brazenly self-aware and super entertaining. I had a blast reading this book. Single-parent trope is one of my favourite tropes ever and this book gave it justice. Both our main characters were realistic and mature.

More review to come towards the publishing date.

Thank you to NetGalley and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for giving me this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

In THE INSIDER'S CLUB by Shirley Day, we meet Hannah, jilted at the altar and desperate for a clean slate. She meets Ed, a wealthy widower with an adorable child.

The beginning jumped around a bit without delving into how Hannah was feeling which meant I struggled with connecting with the main character and the general writing style.

Once the story started, I started to love the love story between our two main characters. It was filled with rom-com vibes with well developed characters.

This one didn't hit the spot for me but if you like a feel good romance, this one could be it for you.

Thanks to NetGalley and Victory Editing for the ARC! Opinions are my own

Very in the mood to acquire a good romance that’s not too steamy or over the top just a feel good story about people from two different sides of the tracks coming together and funding love, I really enjoyed this one! I loved the characters and was interested to know what are main character was hiding and I thought it was a relatable fun book that provided romance at a realistic pace and I really look forward to sharing this one with our readers.
