I can't get enough of Zara Gemini and the Dark Witch Academy! Zara is kidnapped to save the fae world and in the process meets the next two members of her harem. Gemini Wild is the perfect escape from reality - steamy, action-packed, the focus is not only on the Zara as the strong and independent heroine, but also the relationship dynamics amongst her harem members. I can't wait till the next book in this series!

Thank you NetGalley and author Laura Navarre for the copy in exchange of my honest review.

"I summon the Fae King. I claim his twisted heart. Will the curse of Avalon Academy claim me?

Only I would start my new semester at the dark witch academy with a kidnapping (mine) on dragonback and end the night with a marriage proposal I don’t want from the King of the Dark Fae.

My intense and sinister kidnapper.

Suddenly I’m not only Zara Gemini, the wild rebel queen who’s supposed to save the witching world. I’m the misfit new student at the Avalon Academy for Promising Royals of the Faerie Court. And the unwilling future bride of Zephyr, the Dark Fae King. He claims our union is his last chance to break this curse that’s destroying his realm.

Plus I’m already up to my royal neck in dangerous warlocks who’ll kill to rule at my side.

Sounds delish, right?

Not so much. See, the enchanted secret world of Avalon has a dark side, and so does this Hades-Persephone fairytale my latest suitor and I are enacting. Sure, Zephyr might be powerful as a god. He’s the sexy-pretty hottie every Fae at court is jonesing to snag. Turns out he’s also twisted AF.

Let’s just call Zephyr a fixer-upper.

Thankfully, my warlocks track me to Avalon, and they’ve got a hate-hate history with Zephyr. They’re hella determined to help me bust out of this joint and get us all back home to our cobbled-together found family.

First I’ve got a curse to break and a kingdom to save. That’s gonna take all seven of my witchy suitors learning to trust each other, plus something even more risky from the Dark Fae King to me and my guys.

That twisty, shifty, shattered heart of his needs to dare to love."

This is the 3 book in the Dark Witch Academy. I enjoy reading the first 2 book and this one did not disappoint.

Note that this is book 3 in the series.

Short recap from the first two books (no major spoilers mentioned): Zara (the Gemini Queen in-waiting), Neo, Max, Lucius, Ronin, and Vasili are all in a polyamorous relationship with all of the characters involved with each other in some way. The men all belong to Zara's harem. Max being the newest addition in book 2.

Now if you think that's all the men Zara will have in her harem, then you are wrong. Book 3 brings The Dark Fae King, Zephyr, and Prince of the Light, Ash. Zephyr kidnaps Zara to the land of fae because he needs her to become his wife and break the curse over his people and land. While Zara at first hates the fact that she let herself be kidnapped and held hostage, but as she gets to know these two fae men, along the way they capture her heart.

While there is no major cliffhanger at the end of the book, there's many questions that need to be answered. Here's to waiting until book 4 comes out.

Thank you to NetGalley and Laura Navarre for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Gemini Wild is the third book by Laura Navarre that I have reviewed, and I hope she keeps writing these books for a good long time. It's the third book in her Dark Witch Academy series and I'm pretty sure I'm addicted. Fair warning, if you haven't read the first two books, you may get a little lost, because this author packs her books with a ton of worldbuilding and complicated romantic situations. She is great at giving you reminders of the first two stories, but they are not summaries (thank goodness).

Dark Witch Academy books are my favorite polycule romance with fantasy books. While they are technically reverse harem stories, they are also very much melange books too. Eventually, everyone has very steamy sex with everyone and it is with consent.

In Gemini Wild, our Gemini Queen meets a new love interest with some pretty big complicating circumstances that include (but are not limited to) kidnapping and a marriage proposal. As her guys race to rescue her, Zara deals with a whole new world, another attempt at killing her, and a new political mess that only she can fix.

I had a blast reading Zara's newest story and I bet you will too.

Zara and her harem are dealing with the aftermath of a magical fertility orgy, when a dragon and rider from Ronin's past begins circling Icarus Academy. When Zara is kidnapped by the Dark Fae King, her warlocks must figure out how to get her back.

Lots of heat between the members of the polycule and plot progression too. My favourite of the narrators where mostly missing from this one, but that may not be true for you.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Ascendant Press, LLC for the eARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is the 3rd in a series, but reads okay as a stand alone. There are alot of people and names to learn, and I was a bit overwhelmed but probably easier if you read the 2 previous books. Which I have not. I just couldn't get into this book. I liked Zara and found her interesting. I could have done without the whole multimate thing-I am so over reverse harems. I am sure that many will enjoy this but for me it is just ok. 3 stars
