Unfortunately this book just wasn't for me. It has fun characters and setting with a good premise of grumpy/sunshine and enemies to lovers. However the pacing was a little jarring and took me out of the story. I think this is more reflective of me than the writing as what I read was quick and easy.
I definitely think others should pick this up if you're looking for a grumpy/sunshine romance.
Predicted rating 3.5 stars rounded up to 4 stars. Thank you Netgalley for the ARC ebook.

This book was giving Hallmark romance all the way through. It was light and enjoyable, not a book that you will throw against the wall from plot rage, lol. Amarie and Eli story could easily be turned in a Christmas/holiday miracle type of movie if they added the holiday in. Big city woman meets small town guy and grumpy/sunshine are a couple of the troupes written about. It was kinda predictable but nevertheless a very cute story.
Favorite quote: “Would you carry my books, too?” She laughed. “Everyday.”

I’m a marketing and publicity associate Forever, so I am reading this for work! Aaaaaaand there's a character limit on reviews here are some more words

Not too often, I take a mini break from dark romances, especially when I've read and reviewed one after the other. I like to look for something light and fun, and "Fake It Til You Make It" by Sierra London did the trick. This small-town interracial relationship romance where the MMC and FMC were every bit of a grumpy/sunshine couple.
Amarie, a soon-to-be nurse, finds herself in a small town after leaving her long-time boyfriend when she finds out he had been cheating on her —much to her mom's dismay. She decides to pursue an opening at the local vet clinic due to not having any money or other prospects in town.
Eli, recently divorced, has taken over his father's vet business, which is not doing well. At the encouragement of his family, he reluctantly hires the vivacious Amarie to help him out. After a while, she warms up to him, melting off that grumpy demeanor. Though recent past partners have hurt both, they tread carefully with each other. Together, they make a plan to help the business.
I enjoyed Eli and Amare. I especially loved how assertive and untrusting he was with his ex right from the get-go. And Amare's straightforward personality was just the perfect match for Eli.
There are intimate scenes. But the spice is fairly low.
I received a copy of this book for free and am leaving this review voluntarily.
