I came into this follow-up hoping to warm up to Eva. I did not. I still prefer Maddox and Wyott as characters. She still has not grown up and refuses to talk through her fears and findings with her mate. The steam level is great and getting more information on Maddox's family and home was great. Also learning about Eva's powers and history is interesting.

Second in the series, Made & Marred picks up where it left off, with Evaline and Maddox back safe in his homeland, when they are again forced to go out on a mission or two to save the people.

I predicted that Evaline would turn out to be a Mary Sue in my last review, and I was right. She is the only sorceress ever to be gifted with all of the magic types, and is cursed by the gods with the burden of destroying the Vasi, as her mother's punishment.

Parts of this story did drag a bit, and it ended on another cliff hanger so I will persevere through the series!

Again, I preferred the female narrator to the male one. He is particularly not great at voicing female characters.

This audiobook was literally incredible. I am obsessed with this series and I need book three as soon as possible. The author does a fantastic job at world building and writing characters that you can equally love and hate. It was an absolutely phenomenal book and I literally cannot get over how much I loved it.

Cannot wait for book three!

Thank you NetGalley for an eARC in exchange for an honest review!

With chapter 2 of this romantasy book, I have to say I enjoyed myself a lot.
The pace was fast and it never bored me.
I´m not a huge fan of the heroine who can do it all by herself and in this book, I particularly appreciated the fact that Eva needed her found family in order to deal with everything she is and all she needs to do.
I loved the introduction of Wyott's povs. I really liked him in book one and I was hoping to have more of him in this book.
All the new characters introduced in this book are super interesting - both the good and the bad ones - they all add so much to the story. Even if I saw Lauden arc from the moment he was introduced. Let´s see what it´s going to happen with Sage. I´m still not sure about her.
The voice actors here do an amazing job of bringing to life the characters and I love their voices.

Like Always thank you Dreamscape media and NetGalley for the opportunity.

** spoiler alert ** I received an ALC and this is my honest review.

UGH this book was so good!!! I am loving all the characters.

I love the family dynamic that is built with the Kova. There's no your not my real son or you're not my real parents. Family is what they make it and that's final. I also enjoy the tough love that's given from Sage to Eva.

There's one character Lauden that I just can't stand and I feel like the jury is still out on his partner Sage. I feel that there are 2 ways this book can go with Sage and I'm really hoping for the best with her as she is in a terrible relationship. I feel like there is betrayal going on in here but I'm not 100% sure if Sage is in on it through her own choice or if she's being made to be in on it. It really leaves me questioning what is going to happen.

I can't wait for book 3 to come out in audible. The narrators are so perfect for this series.

I received an advanced copy and this is my honest review.
Tam blown away with how good this book was!! Bound & Barbed was one of my favorite books of 2022 and Made & Marred easily became one of my favorites for 2023, I have been counting down the days for this book! I am always worried about a second book in a series but this one went above and beyond my expectations.
Made & Marred picked up exactly where Bound & Barbed left off. It takes us through a journey with many twists. We also meet some really fantastic new characters. Evaline and Maddox's love for each other is everything.
This book gave me all the feels, it made me laugh and cry. I loved that there were multiple POV and it was so fun to have a handful from Wyott and learning more about him. He was one of my favorite characters in the first book and continued into this one. The author did an amazing job with making you feel like you are right there with the characters and feeling all the same emotions. I CANNOT wait for the third book, especially with that CLIFFHANGER!!
This book is amazing if you are looking for fated mates, spice, vampires, action, found family and magic.
Thank you to Samantha Goode, NetGalley & Dreamscape Media for my ALC!

Honestly!! What can I say about this book, about this series?! I’m completely obsessed. With the way book 1 ended, we dive into book one at the height of tensions. And you know what?! It never calms down!! There’s so much going on, but at no point does the plot feel tangled, if that makes sense? I was on the edge of my seat for 99% of the book.
With all the action in this one, I was shocked at how many times I found myself being overwhelmed with emotions. I had cried by the 8% mark, and multiple times throughout.
The narrator for this series are absolutely outstanding. There are no other voices I want representing Maddox and Evaline. Auri Alden and Tor Thom are absolutely flawless. The depth of emotion that both narrators can convey with their tones and inflections is amazing. Although, Tor Thom, Sir, if you could keep from having your voice break with despair over the word “please” from here on out, that would really help me out. The way my heart broke for Maddox in those scenes crushed me.

Made & Marred is the second book of The Fated Creations Trilogy series. The audiobook was narrated by Auri Alden and Tor Thom. They were awesome. The second book brought more character development and some crazy upsetting stuff. My emotions were all over the place and I really enjoyed it!
I recommend this as a good audiobook.
Thanks Dreamscape Media via Netgalley.

Samantha has done it again. Broken my heart but also made an amazing book. I'm in love with Maddox and Wyatt

Ugh, the next book doesn't even have a synopsis yet.
Waiting for this last book is gonna be a nightmare.
Okay, to the actual book...
I probably should have reread the first book, but I was too excited.
It took a wee bit to get acclimated back into this story, but once I did, oh my.
There is a lot more heat in this one and even more intrigue, new characters (I love you Sage!) and an expansion on the world and plot.
This was fantastic and I am now (not so patiently) waiting for the conclusion.
Much love to NetGalley & Dreamscape Media for my ALC.

I love where this story is going. We get even more complexity to the characters, are introduced to new side characters, and get a lot more world building in Made & Marred! The world building I think was the star of the show outside of the romance - I loved the additions to the magic system and we get to learn so much more about the world of the Kova and Vasi. The additional magic we get to see in this book is what brought it to five stars for me and had it outshining the first book, Bound & Barbed.

The end of the book starts to get a little middle book-y as we’re getting things in place for the third book, but it set it up in such a way that I can’t wait to see what happens next! I overall really enjoyed and would highly recommend this series to lovers of fantasy romance! I would also recommend the audiobook - both dual PoV narrators are amazing, and I could listen to @tor_thom talk all day, not gonna lie 😅

I already missed being in their story and world. Was a really perfect book.
All the agony we suffered due to slow burn in the first book was completely compensated in this one.
I loved how much the characters grew and how much we and they got to know about themselves. It was a spectacular book. It kept me interested all book long and made me suffer until the end.
I really liked all the events that took place in the story. As really amazing.
The first book also focused a lot on the characters and they are the ones who make the story, and I really like that. The characters exude real feelings and we feel them after closing the book.

I really recommend picking up the books in the trilogy, you can only win.

And when I pressed the play on the audiobook I was immediately transported back. As like nostalgia. Hearing the voices of the narrators is hearing the characters. Was so good. They really do a great job.

This book whisked me back into the mesmerizing world of Evaline Manor, where her magical journey takes an unexpected turn after her daring escape. Samantha's storytelling prowess shines as the tale resumes from the heart-stopping cliffhanger of the first book. Evaline, Maddox, and Wyott's adventure is a rollercoaster of emotions, weaving fate, love, and sacrifice into a gripping narrative. The characters' growth and the unveiling of dark family secrets kept me glued to the pages. Samantha masterfully expands the series' lore, introducing intriguing new perspectives and captivating plotlines. The intense emotions, well-developed characters, and the seamless interplay of fate and love make this a standout fantasy romance. From fated mates to ancient enemies, every element is expertly crafted. As a fan of paranormal adventure, vampires, and romance, I was utterly enthralled. This book is a must-read, leaving me eagerly anticipating the next chapter in Evaline's enchanting saga.

I was very excited when I spotted this on NetGallery and I gobbled this up like nom, nom, nom. I couldn’t quite remember where we left off but it didn’t take long to get back into it and remember what was happening.

These books are full of action and adventure and I’m glad that Evaline and Maddox got a few quiet moments together before the next round of terrible drama!! We’ve got family issues coming out the wazoo, in every direction. We get to see a bit more of the Vasi and learn more about their evil origin story and return home with Maddox to meet his family.

Book three is coming out soon, right?

4.5/5 Stars

This series is IT!!!!! Book 1 ended on a cliff hanger so I was very excited for book 2...now I don't know how I will wait for book 3! The Fated Creations series is the perfect paranormal fantasy to binge. We have romance right from the start and a strong plot to keep you invested. Made & Marred builds on the world we were introduced to in Bound & Barbed, and I loved our added POV for this story. I highly recommend picking up the physical or audiobook of both books in this series - you won't regret it!

Read this book if you like:
- fated mates
- vampiric creatures
- NA romantasy with adventure
- sequels that are just as good as book 1

Made & Marred will be released October 31st and if it's not already on your tbr, it should be!

Quick Summary: A thrilling, action-packed ride!

My Review: Made & Marred by Samantha Goode is book two in The Fated Creations Trilogy.

About the Book: Evaline and Maddox are parted for a time, but nothing will separate them from being together…or will it?

In this exciting continuation of their story, darker forces are steadily revealed. More secrets, more magic, more characters, more connections, and more nefarious energy gathers, leading toward a true battle for power.

My Final Say: There are no words to express just how spectacular this book is. I was enthralled the entire time. The audiobook was an experience, to say the least. All I’ve got is a giant YES!!! and two thumbs up.👍 👍

Other: Might I have more? Please and thank you.

These are starting to become one of my favorite series! I love love love it.
I know people get mad when books are compared to others but this. This is what I wanted from FBAA. THIS is the feeling!!

This was an absolutely wonderful continuation of Evaline and Maddox’s story.
I loved getting more time with Wyott and seeing his love for his mate.
I was halfway to tears for at least half the book. It was like an emotional rollercoaster but all drop. I can’t wait for the next book!

Samantha R. Goode DOES NOT MISS!!! I had the pleasure of listening to the audio ARC of Made and Marred, and wow, I’m invested in these fictional characters too much. I can’t get over how much of a chokehold this series has on me.

I listened to the audios for both installments so far, so forgive any misspelled names!

What I loved:
- The tension!! The development!! The struggle!! I felt like the plot progressed naturally and at a great pace. - - The twists kept me on my toes and I can’t wait to see where this series goes next!
- The entire cast of characters is incredible. I love Sage so much, and I really hope we get to see even more of her development in the next installment. I am rooting for her!! I also love Wyatt so much.
- The POV switches were so! good! I loved getting a glimpse in Wyatt’s head. His perspective was very fun as the “third wheel” to Evaline and Maddox, but also as his own fleshed out character with his own arc.
- Evaline!!!!!!! I just adore this woman. She is so strong, but relatable in her struggles, and I really love seeing a realistic FMC. Yes, she has fantasy powers and all that jazz, but the way she reacts to the world around her is just so human. Every time we switched to her POV I was so excited!
- No 👏🏻 second 👏🏻 book 👏🏻 syndrome 👏🏻

This is where I’d write suggestions for improvement, but I’ve got nothing. 🫶🏻

Overall, I am thrilled with Made and Marred and impatiently await book three. I highly recommend this for fans of Song of the Marked, ACOTAR, These Hollow Vows, A Court This Cruel and Lovely, and related titles. An easy five out of five star read!

Thank you so much to NetGalley, Dreamscape Audio, and Samantha R. Goode for providing me with an audio ARC in exchange for my honest and unbiased review!

Evaline was taken from Maddox and he is on his way to save her. This time he isn't letting anyone in the way. After finally reuniting Maddox, Wyott and Evaline are on their way to his kingdom. Evaline is in a new place, meeting new people and is trying to learn her magic. She isn't alone this time though. What will she discover when things turn so quickly and can she rely on her newfound friends?

I'm absolutely blown away by how amazing this audiobook was. The voice actors filled the roles perfectly. I felt every emotion while reading. There were times were I had to set the book down because I was just so overwhelmed. Made & Marred is written in third POV this time and I loved who it was. We got so much closer to the characters this way. We see how strong Evaline is and how much stronger she becomes. We see Wyott's relationship with his sweet mate Cora. They just melted my heart away. There were so many new characters that I fell in love with. One of them being another sorceress. Evaline's dreams start to add up and become clear. And the heartbreak and changes these characters go through are tremendously life changing. Also the spice! Don't get me started on the spice. This should definitely be on your tbr list because Samantha Goode has written another amazing book.
