Karabian Red was an interesting tale that kept me reading and was filled with a lot of action. However, I felt there were holes in the story that did not quite get filled. Even with the holes I did find the story engaging. The characters were likable but lacked a lot of depth. This was not a particularly long book and perhaps with more time developing the characters and the interactions between them. Then they would not seem superficial and a bit thin or rushed. But all in all, this was an enjoyable read that moved at a quick pace with impending war, and a crew of friends who are doing the right thing to ultimately be the heroes in the story. I am not sure there is to be a follow up but I would enjoy one to answer questions I have from this one.

This was a pretty good read. The writing was a bit disjointed at time but I can't enjoyed aspect of it. I'm interested to see what this author writes next.
