I wanted to read Catch by Evelyn Montgomery because the FMC is name Rochelle. As someone named Rachelle, I don't find many books with character's who have my name. A definite plus was was Hunter played baseball.
I loved Rochelle and Hunt's characters. Neither character had an easy upbringing. I think the spicy scenes could have been either better written or left out. They connection between Rochelle and Hunter is strong and believable.
I felt for Rochelle throughout the book. She didn't fit in and others made sure she knew it.
Overall, this was an enjoyable book and I will read the next book in this series.
This is a good book. The two main characters are Rochelle and Hunter. There is an instant attraction when they meet. He makes a bet with his friend, he loses the bet and has to shave his head. Rochelle is who shaves his head. He ask her out on a date. They start dating. They both have issues but together they work the issues out and fall in love.
Thank you NetGalley for this book. This was a good book. Some parts felt like they were there to be there but great smutty parts.
I received a copy of this book as an arc from NetGalley and the publisher in return for an honest review.
I read the first four chapters of this book and DNFd it (about 23% through). I'm shocked this got published. The writing is bad. Like, Wattpad fan fic is written better than this. It is instalust on both sides. It's trite, she's this shy, from the wrong side of the tracks beauty who is oblivious to her stunning looks. He is a sexy, machismo jock (baseball player) who is confident and has never wanted someone like he wants Rochelle. The amount of times "sexy as fuck" was used to describe the other in just 4 chapters is laughable. And I felt like Hunter's actions towards Rochelle were overly possessive, kinda creepy, and bordering on non-consent. This just doesn't do it for me, and it's teetering more to "porn on page". There are other things worth my time and brain power. Sorry!
This was the first book I read from the author. It was a surprisingly good story. Hunter and Rochelle’s love story was filled with emotion and unexpected plot twists. It definitely kept me on edge the whole time while reading. They were from opposite worlds, but they connected instantly, which quickly resulted in deep feelings and some challenges as well. I liked both the main characters and all the drama, but sometimes the high praise from Hunter felt a bit unreal and too much.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me a copy of the book.
One look is all it takes for Hunter to fall head over heels in love with Rochelle, and while their story has quite a few ups and downs, not matter what is thrown his way that love never lessens. This was a great story that combines my favorites: romance and baseball. Looking forward to reading more in the series.
What a great novel for my first baseball romance read.
Talk about a curve ball!!! I did not see that twist coming … but oh my lord it was worth the journey. Hunter and Rochelle have just become my favourite sports couple.
I love when a writer really portrays that invisible thread that people feel when deep and true connection is made. Some writers really don’t capture that moment but Anne Marie caught it perfectly.
Really well written and I truly enjoyed this novel.
I got this book a few hours back and l just finished it, that’s crazy. I truly don’t know where to start with this reading. To say it was beautiful and well written would be an understatement, because this book was more than that. The characters, the scenes and the story was on point and just down right amazing. I really enjoyed this book beyond words. It had be gripped from the first page right to the last one. This book truly is a catch 🤞🏽😂💕💕💕.
