This series has been such fun! The Imposters are a fascinating group of individuals with specific talents, and after enjoying Marigold and her brother’s story in the first book, I was greatly looking forward to reading more about Gemma and Graham. And their story did not disappoint! I really liked reading about how their relationship changed and evolved in the story. The fact that they had once been in love made their romance more believable to me. The story ebbs and flows perfectly, slowing down for detailed character growth and genuine faith discussions, and speeding up as the suspense and action reached a climax. I had a really hard time putting the book down! I think I loved this book even more than the first one if possible. Highly recommended!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. Opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

Roseanna always does a great job writing historical fiction with interesting characters and twists and turns. A Noble Scheme was no exception!
I loved watching Gemma and Graham come together again. This novel had spies, twists and turns, romance, fun characters, and a great historical setting.
It was well written and told a beautiful story! The cover is also so pretty.
I am always excited to read whatever Roseanna writes and an so excited to see what she’s working on next!

What a great addition to the series. This has been fun to read. It's also available in audio form and I reccomend that as well!
From chapter 1 to the End I could feel what the characters were feeling. I was fully immersed into the story. The writing can keep you captivated & wanting to know answers. This is a Christian read and had the underlying thems of the age old question- why God allows tragedy & how to reconcile that. There was a great twist in the story! The twist with the mystery and why the two main characters were estranged. We get to meet a new interesting character at a house party during Christmas and I hope she is brought back. I found the story thoughtful and introspective. I found that to be the same with the way the two main characters found reconcilliation and the resolution of the mystery, The story was well thought out and layered. As well as, the characters. Overall, a heart felt story. A chance at new beginnings and sometimes our strengths can become our weekness. Former characters from Book 1 were brought back and that was good too. I'm really looking forward to book 3.
*thank you to net galley and the publisher for a copy of the book. All opinions are 100% my own*

A Noble Scheme, by Roseanna M. White, is the second book in The Imposters series. This historical fiction novel is incredibly well-written and truly compelling. This story is certainly intriguing, creative, and memorable. Page after page, a stunning blend of history, danger, mystery, and romantic tension make this book interesting, thoughtful, and utterly enjoyable.
With a genuine talent for detail and pacing, Ms. White has crafted a novel that flows beautifully and captivates with depth and meaning. Through integral settings, complex characters, and a gripping storyline, this book becomes something exceedingly special. Themes of forgiveness, family, perseverance, and faith provide significance and insight to a story that is altogether moving and inspiring.
Unfolding in England in the years before WWI, the story finds the characters navigating financial hardships, real loss, strained relationships, and actual peril. These trials stimulate the characters to rethink their assumptions and their goals for their futures. As they seek to live lives of purpose, they must also renew their hope and reexamine their faith. As the engage in meaningful moments and encounter surprising twists, the novel becomes even more touching and remarkable.
A Noble Scheme is engaging, thought-provoking, and a pleasure to read. It is a very worthy novel, and I recommend it wholeheartedly. I am eagerly awaiting the next book in this series.

Gemma Parks does not want to forgive Graham Wharton. That much is clear in the first book of the series, though we were left guessing the reason. Now, as Gemma and the other Imposters take a case to restore a kidnapped child to his family, she and Graham are forced to work closely together.
Graham wants to win Gemma back, but the priority has to be the missing boy. From one grand manor house to another, the whole group must rely on their training and their alter egos to solve the case before it's too late.
This story weaves from intrigue to emotion and back again. I'd heard that there was a twist that readers won't see coming, and that was definitely true for me. That makes the story go from interesting to compelling as you turn page after page to see how things will resolve.
There's also a strong faith theme as characters ask tough questions and process grief. I thought this was perhaps the greatest faith theme Roseanna has woven into any of her novels, and it was extremely well-done.
I'd recommend A Noble Scheme for all fans of historical suspense, especially if you don't mind some emotion along the way.
I received my copy of the book from NetGalley. All thoughts in this review are my own.

Stunning! I had no idea the emotions this story would bring up! It's a beautiful story about forgiving and accepting forgiveness. I loved Gemma and Graham and seeing them together and how their stories interconnect was beautiful! Highly recommend this second installment of the imposters series!

A Noble Scheme by Roseanna M. White is the second book in The Imposters series and a definite must read if you love inspirational historical romances with a little suspense involved.
Gemma Parks helps the Imposters in their investigations by gathering and compiling information and providing alibis for the members when needed, but it has been near impossible to work along Graham Wharton, the man who broke her heart.
When Gemma walked away from Graham a year ago she left his heart shattered and now they are working together to find a kidnapped boy who was mistaken for his cousin. He is hoping that their noble scheme will not only help them find the boy, but also heal their broken hearts.
I really enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more books in this series.
I was given an ARC from the author/publisher. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.

A gripping drama, full of suspense, romance, and a strong core of faith, in this second installment of The Imposters.
A desperate plea for help leads the Imposters into a high stakes case of mistaken identity, extortion, and family ties. Marigold and Merritt are newly married and the whole team is adjusting to the changes, while Gemma and Graham must face the wedge that has grown between them while racing to save the life of a missing boy.
Gemma and Graham are the less flashy members of the team, gathering information in the details, I liked that they were forced to face each other and what happened. The author weaves a complex and satisfying tale, with strong themes of forgiveness and restoration of relationships, blended with a sense of urgency in this high stakes plot.
I also loved the glimpses of Yate's whimsy and heart, as he looks to the future of the Imposters.
Overall, this was everything I wanted from the next installment of this series, and more. Solid themes of faith, alongside daring adventure for a noble cause, romance, and more. Highly recommend!

This is the second book of The Imposters Detective Agency, but the topics were much deeper and heart wrenching than the first in my opinion. The second chance romance about deep pain and forgiveness and faith was what touched my heart, but I also enjoyed trying to solve the case of the kidnapped boys and understanding the reasoning behind why it happened. Thanks to NetGalley and Bethany House Publishers for a free ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I've often been guilty of claiming that her latest book is my favorite and this book is no exception! A Noble Scheme has everything that I've come to expect in a Roseanna M. White story: well-defined characters, an exciting adventure, a lovely romance, and witty banter to make me smile. There is, however, an emotional aspect that tugged at my heart and attacked my senses. How can anyone endure the loss of a child and not be changed? What if a seemingly unbreakable bond is severely damaged? Is there a point when it all appears hopeless?
I found myself grabbing tissues as I read about Gemma and Graham's efforts to work together after a year of being apart. An intriguing mystery surrounding a missing child triggers raw and painful emotions for this couple and explains their severed friendship. Finally, we understand the depth of their suffering and we're given a glimpse of their true relationship!
I was deeply moved by this poignant journey of love, loss, and grief that leads to healing, forgiveness, and a return to faith. A Noble Scheme is a stunning historical Christian novel!
I received a copy of this book from the author and publisher. There was no obligation for a positive review.

I really loved this story. I think there is humor and fun as well as drama and suspense. It definitely takes a spin on historical stories for this era. I did read the first book so I was looking forward to this one.
The subject was very interesting and my heart went out to the parents, despite the fact that they are not real. I do tend to get caught up in stories and this one was easy to get caught up in. From Gemma and Graham's struggle with their relationship due to past hurts. But also their relationship with God and how things can cause you to not be as trusting towards Him. I liked seeing that they did begin to try to trust God again and by doing that they began to rebuild their relationship with each other.
It is really cool how a job to recover a missing boy can be the very tool to turning your life around and allow healing to begin. When you allow yourself to be truly open to God he can do amazing things.
I think the author wrote a beautiful story and I look forward to reading another in this series.

This was definitely an interesting book. I enjoyed the first book and I was excited to see what would happen next for The Imposters. A Noble Scheme is the second book in Roseanna M White’s The Imposters series. This story was intriguing, however it did take me a little longer to get into it.
Graham and Gemma were complicated characters who were trying to figure out life and heal. I really liked getting to know them better and it was cool to read about them growing. They had a history that was riddled with hurt but they had to learn to forgive and trust God again.
There were points where I struggled to stay in the story, however by the end I was drawn into it. The characters were compelling and I really felt for Gemma and Graham as they tried to work out their differences. I wanted to see how their case would end and if Gemma and Graham would work through their differences. The side characters were fun and I am excited to read Yate’s book. I also love how White wove faith into this book.
A Noble Scheme is a lovely book and I would recommend it to those who enjoy historical romances with hints of mystery. A Noble Scheme is a Historical Christian Romance
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the publisher through Netgalley. All views expressed are only my honest opinion, a positive review was not required.

A year ago, tragedy separated Gemma Parker and Graham Wharton, leaving them heartbroken and bitter, but with both being part of the Imposters, an investigative group used by aristocrats, they can’t permanently part ways.
Gemma and Graham must go uncover together when a ten-year-old boy is kidnapped, and a ransom is demanded. The clues lead them to a house party out in the country. They each must use their skills to uncover the motive and find the boy before it’s too late.
This is Christian fiction, so the element of faith is prevalent in the story, but it wasn’t in a preachy way. I didn’t mind the way it was presented.
I was thoroughly engrossed by both the mystery and the personal heartbreak of Gemma and Graham. Graham is angry with God and Gemma is angry with Graham. Yet, as they work together forgiveness, healing, and love filter in bit by bit. Their tragedy broke my heart and I totally understood why they were so shattered, but I cheered as they drew close again! Gemma and Graham’s personal journey is mixed in with the urgency of the situation, a little boy in danger. I was eager to see how it’d all play out!
This is book two in the series, but it wasn’t necessary to read the first one, as it was a separate mystery with a different romantic couple as the focus.

Readers of A Noble Scheme will be rewarded with a sweet second chance romance that emphasizes God’s goodness! However, with heavy topics of child loss and grief, this book is not for the faint of heart. A deep and thoughtful romance is combined with a fascinating mystery in an entertaining story that readers will love! Be sure to grab this second installment of The Imposters Series for adventure, romance, and deep spiritual truth all in one book!
I received a copy of this book from this publisher for review purposes. My thoughts are my own. I really did enjoy it!

This story completely broke me and put me back together. While reading book one I was so curious what could have happened between Gemma and Graham… but I never anticipated the truth! There were definitely tears on my part. Maybe even ugly ones. I felt everything so deeply as a relatively new mom. But the restoration that comes is one of the most beautiful things I’ve read in a while!
The mystery around the kidnapping was interesting and had me invested in the case while simultaneously being completely enthralled by the relationship drama. The slow reveal of what went wrong drove the pages to turn, but I will admit I had to stop for a day or two to process in the middle.
Moms, beware of all the feels. But this is one of those stories that I know will stick with me, the relationships and heartache so beautifully written.
I’m eagerly anticipating Yates’ story in Book 3. I love his character and I’m excited for him to get his own happy ending.
I received a complementary copy of this book from the author and publisher. I was not asked to leave a positive review. My opinions are completely my own.

It took me weeks to read the first 30-40% of the book, but I finished the last half in one sitting. This one was actually quite deep, which was unexpected not because Roseanna writes fluff, but because the first book set up this series with a more light-hearted tone. While it took me a long time to get into (mostly due to circumstances), it was most definitely an enjoyable book to read.
This book has the typical characteristics of Roseanna M. White books - depth, large cast of vibrant characters, and a complex, ever-evolving plot. But I'm also picking up a sense that it doesn't take itself too seriously. The story, characters and message matter, yet it's not trying to push across a point, which is likely intentional and took effort to create.
Definitely a book I will be revisiting.

Roseanna M. White's newest book, A Noble Scheme (The Imposter, #2) is a great story! I enjoyed everything about it. It takes place during The Edwardian period in England and continues the story of the Imposter's Detective Agency. The detail is well researched. The drama, intrigue, romance draws the reader into a wonderful and emotional journey. Especially for Gemma and Graham as the team is in search of a missing child.
Can be read alone but so much better after reading the first book in the series, A Beautiful Disguise. I highly recommend Ms. White's books. You won't be disappointed.
I received this book from the Roseanna M. White and Bethany House Publishers. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was a dnf for me; I couldn’t believe the spy set up and it felt like I was missing background info at the start. It never pulled me in.

This was book two in a series. The premise is intriguing and I enjoyed trying to solve the mystery along with the characters. Overall I wish there had been more character development and things seemed to wrap up too quickly at the end. I will read the third and final book to see where everyone ends up.

"A beautiful historical masterpiece.
Roseanna M. White’s second book in the Imposters Series gives meaning to the saying that good things come to those who wait. Having read the first book, A Beautiful Disguise, I perceived a Gemma and Graham story on the horizon. A Noble Scheme, the second book in the Imposters series, has brought an end to my anticipation.
Set in the United Kingdom like its predecessor, A Noble Scheme continues the story of the Imposters. Gemma Parks and Graham Wharton are two people with a past. An incident had torn these two lovebirds apart, leaving two beating hearts too frozen to reconcile. Will a new case for the Imposters, which involves child kidnapping, be the needed heat to thaw these two hearts?
I have never read a Roseanna M. White novel that I have never liked or struggled to read, and this novel is no exception. Her character development and the strong Christian messages in her novels have always been motivating factors for reading her books. The themes of forgiveness, grief, anger, and faith were very well articulated in this novel. The beginning of the novel was a bit slower than expected, but it picked up so quickly in the middle of the novel that I finished reading it earlier than projected.
Fans of Roseanna M. White, grab this sequel. You will not be disappointed.
I received a complimentary copy courtesy of Bethany House through NetGalley and Interviews & Reviews for my honest opinion."
