Fact-paced, fun characters, and laughable moments make Chloe Baker's Lost Date, by Kate Wicks, a fun, quick read.
Thanks, NetGalley and the publisher, for providing me with the ARC ebook I read and reviewed. All opinions are my own.

I loved this book! I devoured it in only a few sittings and wish there was more to read. The story line was paced very well and the characters were easy to love!
It is a close door book, but it has some nuances of spice, which makes it really fun to read as well. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a light funny book to enjoy.
I would like to thank NetGalley and Wattpad Books for the opportunity to read this ahead of its publication date in return for my honest review.

Super cute book! This was a fun journey with Chloe as she pulls out all the stops to find this amazing date. I wish it hadn't been so closed-door and wanted more from the characters, but it was a fantastic read.

Chloe Baker’s lost date

If you’re looking for a fun and entertaining book, Chloe Baker’s lost date it’s for you!
Chloe has recently moved to New York and is kind of in a funk but with the help of her best friend, she goes on a blind date and the trope could not be funnest. It takes a while for the book to pick up the pace but when you get there, this story is really entertaining and heartwarming. It is a close door book, but it has some nuances of spice, which makes it really fun to read as well. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a light funny book to enjoy.

Chloe lives her best New York City day with Jack. Brunch at a place with a punny name, a trip to the MET, racing small boats in Central Park, a picnic with secret beers and the best street food. When she texts Jack after to thank him for the wonderful day they shared together, he doesn’t respond the way she expected… But New York City is a small town and she keeps running into the man she is looking for.. (and his ex girlfriend who he dated off and on for 10 years).

This book was a rollercoaster of emotions. Warning that there is talk about sibling death and parent in hospice care. There were times where I was angry for Chloe and how she was being treated. Other times I wanted to shake Chloe and tell her to just stop and be a little more empathetic. But honestly, I saw some of myself in her. I too tried to run away from the one thing I wanted and loved the most.

I also kind of expected a fake authors note at the end from her coworker - wonder if she got the story published…

Overall, Chloe had some major character flaws. She was a little self-centered and expected everyone to fix everything for her fast. She wanted large romcom gestures but didn’t love “Serendipity”. I loved the porny titles competitions but then didn’t expect a 90% closed door romance. There was a lot of dialog and it read like fanfiction (like her coworker was writing the story about her…). I feel like I need to go watch Felicity now.

Thank you to NetGalley and Wattpad Webtoon book group for the ARC of this title. I would say that overall I enjoyed it!

Chloe goes on a blind date with Jack and has and incredible time. When she's texts him later, though she gets an unexpected response. When she can't find him anymore she searches New York to find him. Though, I enjoyed most parts of this story, I found the main male character to be somewhat untrustworthy and thus I wasnt rooting for Chloe and him to make it as much I probably would have been. I just felt like he told a lot of half truths and I wasn't a fan of that. I did like the main character, Chloe and thought she was very relatable. If you're looking for a sweet rom com I'd say it's worth the read. Thanks for the opportunity to review it!

Chloe Baker's Lost Date by Katie Wicks was a fun and fabulous rom-com.
Katie crafts a charming story filled with relatable characters and genuine emotions.
I thought this was an entertaining and charmingly enjoyable read.
That captivated me from the very beginning. The author did a fabulous job with the execution, the characters and the development of the romance.

I couldn’t put this book down. Super cute story with great characters. It did drag a bit in the middle, but i couldn’t stop reading. Loved the meta rom-com stuff.

I received an ARC from Netgalley and the publisher.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It had all of the classic rom-com components that I live for. Chloe's character development throughout the story was excellent. I absolutely LOVED Kit and Chloe's friendship. I did have a little difficulty with the back and forth dialogue that went on for many lines without explicitly stating who was talking, so I did have to re-read at times, but was always able to get back on track. Overall, a delightful, quick read.

Loved this! I haven't read Katie Wicks' debut, but this definitely convinced me to pick it up.
The story was fresh and unique, and the tension and love between MMCs was lovely, from the meetcute all the way to their HEA.

Chloe & Ben's interactions are hilarious from the get go, and their chemistry is palpable. And I know everyone hates third act conflicts, but I honestly didn't mind this one!

Overall, really enjoyed and recommend giving it a try!

Thank you NetGalley and Katie Wicks for the ARC copy

I loved the friendship of Chloe and Kit — it’s nice to have your person! The meeting of the two main characters is fun and romantic and certainly adds a twist to the novel as it progresses.

Chloe Baker's Lost Date was a delight to read. When Chloe decides to jump back into the dating scene and her date arrives late the story takes an unanticipated turn. The ups and downs from that point take the reader on the journey along with Chloe. This was a quick read as I didn't want to put it down to see who the story would end. There was the right mix of suspense, comedy, and romance to keep readers interested. I really enjoyed this one and look forward to further books by Wicks.

Thank you for the pleasure of reading. If you are a person that enjoys a lot of dialogue then this is the book for you. Personally as someone that has never been to New York and has only seen movies I wish it would have been more descriptive of what the MC was experiencing. However I did enjoy that I also felt second hand embarrassment with the character so that was a good thing for me to feel!

This book was fantastic. It follows Chloe in her life in NYC - her blind date with Jack and all that follows. A funny cute romcom that I could not put down. Fun banter and an overall great story.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC!

This was a cute book overall. Some parts were a bit hard to get into but there were definitely some parts that made me laugh and Chloe’s character came off as sweet and likable. I probably would not read this book again but at the same time don’t feel like it was a waste of time to read either.

So Im gonna be honest when I first opened this book it took me FOREVER to actually get to actually understanding it. It did have some parts that were interesting but overall it was a hard for me to get into. I ended up stopping about 50% through but maybe ill again at another time.
