I’ve been to NYC a few times. Not once did I randomly bump into someone I knew, and I was there with friends!
I did accidentally find my way across Central Park to the Met in the pouring rain on a frigid December morning, actually. But, at no point at the Met did I find any worker willing to chat with me.
I got stood up on a date once. He convinced me he was in a car wreck (I saw photos of the car - not sure they were real), but once another red flag appeared, it was bye-bye. I definitely wouldn’t have gone on an all-out hunt for him after realizing he had lied about his identity.
This book has so many times where I almost set it aside and said ENOUGH. There is meet-cute and then there is meet so contrived that it’s no good. Frankly, by the end, I was rooting for the guy she didn’t want. I was done with these two. I stayed done- I didn’t care if they were HFN, and maybe HEA. That sounds harsh, I know, but I would like a romance where females (and males) could learn to identify red flags and learn from them instead of romanticize them. Hmmm, I think that was even mentioned in the book!

Chloe has a perfect blind date with Jack. But after that one day, she can't reach him.... Chloe pulls out all the stops to find him...
A terrific rom-com. Chloe is perfect in this book. So funny and sweet. So many LOL scenes. The characters all have great chemistry and are great fun together. Really enjoy it.
Thanks to the publisher for the arc.

I really did not like this book...had to just put it in DNF section as there was not much of a story for starter's and I really think it lack so much of potential which can make this book a huge read of the readers considering the plotline. However the story as it continued also shows much loophole as the major one I realise was the recognition of the heroine date itself when she already had seen him in photos provided by her friend Kit.
It was not impressive enough and I had to regrettably DNF at 30%of the book...

Chloe Baker’s Lost Date by Katie Wicks takes readers on a whirlwind journey through the highs and lows of Chloe’s new life in New York City. The story begins with a promising blind date, leaving her brimming with anticipation. However, when Jack arrives late, the story takes an unexpected turn, creating an air of suspense and intrigue. This novel explores the complexities of modern dating and the lengths one would go to for love. A compelling and heartwarming read that reminds us that sometimes, the journey to love is as important as the destination!

i never thought i liked that book by reading the first few pages but guess what i was totally wrong.
i think it’s a really funny and interesting book, but also very cute. i couldn’t put the book down. AMAZING!!
4/5

Thankyou to Netgalley for sending me an arc of this book :)) Wow where do I start! 4 stars ⭐️ I really love the premise of this whole book it was a fresh take on romance and I don’t think I’ve read anything similar to this before! I couldn’t put the book down at all, it was really fun reading about our two main characters Chloe and Ben (wink wink) who were both interesting individually and the dialogue had me laughing. The interactions between everyone felt really authentic and I think that is what drew me in straight away🥰 The only thing I would say is that this book started dragging slightly for me when I hit the 60% mark and I really hate a third act breakup moment but I think the chemistry between not only the love interests but all the side characters more than made up for this. I’m definitely going to be following this authors work for sure!
