I thought this Christmas romance was perfect, not too “Hallmark like” and over the top. It was a fun and enjoyable read and I plan to read more from this author.

I really enjoyed this book - all about new beginnings from a pretty harsh ending, splitting up with an ex just before Christmas. .

Penny (or Pixie, as Bunny names her from the outset) comes to the house of the Lords after her long-term boyfriend splits up with her and she wants to go to pastures new, along with the fact that she has never met them before, let alone the twins that she needs to look after.

As a teacher, looking after the twins, is not such a challenge - moreover, it is the relationships with the adults.... the grumpy house owner, (Or)Lando, Bunny (the twins' mother) who is going through troubles of her own, the wonderful William (and her relationship with Daphne) and the newcomers, Xander and Zara.

In the events of this book, Penny learns more about herself, and the relationships she does (n't) want, she realises what she is good at, and is finally allowed to be herself outside the grasp of her ex, Timothy.

This isn't a sweet Christmas book (although that is a small part of it) - but makes you think, and realise what is most valuable, to be yourself.

Christmas with the Lords is a sweet, easy British Christmas story about starting fresh. Penny, heartbroken after a ten-year relationship ends, takes a nanny job with the Lord family, looking after their four-year-old twins. The story is simple and cozy, with Penny slowly finding healing and comfort in her new life.

The characters are likable but basic. Penny’s journey is relatable, and the Lord family is warm and kind. There’s a hint of romance, but it’s not the focus—mostly, it’s about Penny finding happiness again during Christmas.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Storm Publishing for the opportunity to read Christmas with the Lords.

While I believe the intention of this story was supposed to be a clean romance, I felt bored with it. It took a while for me to get into it and even through the end I had to pull myself through.
It felt a little too detailed with things that kind of didn't feel necessary. It did feel chaotic but I believe that was the authors intention.
Loved the christmas vibes and i did love the realistic mentality of the main character, Penny.

Christmas with the Lords is a cute, Hallmark-esque Christmas book. Penny's heart has just been broken by her long-term boyfriend. So she takes a job as a short-term nanny for a family for the Christmas season. Penny is caring for an adorable set of twins, and finds herself falling in love with them....and possibly falling for their Uncle Lando? The story of the Lord family and Penny is sweet but not too syrupy. Penny doesn’t just go from one relationship to another, she takes this time to discover herself a bit and what she really wants and it’s a satisfying story for her.

This was the first book I have read by Hannah Langdon but it won't be the last!!

Ich weiß ehrlich gesagt nicht, wie ich dieses Buch bewerten soll, da ich es aufgrund relativ kurzer Ausleihdauer (ohne Verlängerung) nicht lesen konnte.

Firstly, this cover is absolutely precious and so sweet!

This is such a sweet, cozy, magical, and romantic holiday romance! Each and every element; from the setting, to the characters, to the storyline, to the plot jumped right off of the page.

The more time Penny and Lando spend together, and the more they get to know one another, their relationship begins to deepen and develop further. Will they be one another's happily-ever-after? You will just have to read to find out!

A heart-warming and feel good read with a bit of romance and that warm and fuzzy holiday feel. Cute, sweet, enjoyable and cosy. Just the sort of book to relax into and enjoy with a hot cuppa on a cold day.

This was an enjoyable Christmas romance. When Penny suddenly finds herself single after a ten-year relationship while her parents are in India, she impulsively decides to take a short-term job as a nanny for a family she has never before met. While she grows enamored by the children and the family, she is intrigued by the children's uncle Lando. As they get to know each other better, their feelings develop. It's a sweet romance.

I enjoy cozy romances, but this one was very hard to get into. It felt slow in places, and honestly the relationship between the characters felt lacking. And sometimes weird.

I loved this book! It was the perfect Christmas-time read and got me so ready for the holiday spirit. It was a super cute romance that reminded me so much of my favorite Hallmark and cute romance Christmas season movies.
