Thank you so much to HTP for the ARC!

If you're looking for a NON-STOP CRAZY and BONKERS thriller, look no further!

I picked this up as soon as it showed up on my step and I couldn't stop! When I wasn't reading it, I was thinking about it and wondering how these CRAZY things could possibly be resolved!

Basically what you have is an old motel that has been converted into apartments. These are no luxury apartments but actually quite dumpy, for lack of a better word. When Cass finds herself out of a relationship and subsequently out of a home, she takes on a job as a "handy ma'am" in exchange for a place to live. She does some extremely questionable things to get by and make ends meet and eventually things begin to catch up with her when she starts messing with the wrong people and finds herself in a HEAP OF TROUBLE!

Then you have an alternate perspective from Anna who just lost her husband and let's just say...things aren't looking great for her either.

This is my first book by Seaphina Nova Glass and let me just say, she does not follow the rules! My jaw kept hitting the floor over and over at the things that were happening! I applaud her for that! This truly felt so fresh and original and nothing about it felt overdone like so many thrillers I've read lately!

The only reading experience I can really compare it to is Taylor Adam's writing in THE LAST WORD and NO EXIT where you're just sitting there like "WAIT, WHAT?!"

Read this if you like:

-Popcorn thrillers
-Truly weird characters
-Unique and creepy settings
-Twists and turns
-Jaw-dropping moments
-Dual perspectives

This will be available on April 9th!

"The Vacancy in Room 10," is a twisty thriller that will keep you guessing until the very end. The story kicks off with a bang – a shocking phone call that throws Anna Hartley's world into chaos. Her seemingly mild-mannered husband confesses to murder before the line goes dead, followed by the news of his own apparent suicide.

Grief-stricken and desperate for answers, Anna delves into the life her husband kept hidden. She checks into The Sycamores, the run-down motel-turned-apartment complex where Henry rented a studio. There, she encounters a quirky cast of characters, each with their own secrets and connection to Henry.

Glass excels at building suspense. The more Anna digs, the more she uncovers a tangled web of lies, hidden agendas, and dark pasts. The residents of The Sycamores, far from bystanders, become central to the mystery, adding depth and unexpected layers to the narrative. Some may find the sheer number of characters overwhelming at times, but their interactions and motivations add a layer of realism and a touch of dark humor to the unfolding drama.

The true strength of "The Vacancy in Room 10" lies in its pacing and the gradual reveals. The tension builds steadily, with each new clue leading to a fresh round of questions. The climax is well-executed, delivering a satisfying resolution that ties up the loose ends while still managing to surprise.

If you're a fan of character-driven mysteries with a touch of the unexpected, "The Vacancy in Room 10" is a must-read. Just be prepared to settle in for a wild ride as Anna navigates a world of secrets and hidden truths within the walls of The Sycamores.

I went into this with high expectations as trusted sources had told me that they loved it. This is my first book by this author and unfortunately probably my last. The characters and storyline just gave me major ick. Slow pacing and honestly I found it cheesy and over the top ridiculous. The ending dragged out as well.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC of Seraphina Nova Glass’s latest novel. I really enjoyed it and it kept me reading. It was very suspenseful and kept my attention. I’m not a fan of her!

Anna Hartley’s husband calls with a terrible confession, he killed someone, and he can’t live with the guilt anymore. Anna thinks it’s all a bad joke until her husband’s body washes up on the banks of the Rio Grande. Frantic for answers to what happened to her husband, Anna decides to move into his art studio located at the Sycamores, a run-down motel turned apartment complex. There she learns more about Henry’s other life from the residents of the Sycamores. Meanwhile, Cass works as the Sycamore’s apartment manager. She fixes things in apartments and manages the complex in exchange for an apartment of her own in the complex. It seems Cass has just as many secrets as Anna’s husband Henry did. Are there secrets connected? Does Anna know more about Henry’s death than she lets on?

I have enjoyed many other books by Seraphina Nova Glass, but this one was just okay for me. My favorite part of this book was the descriptions of the run-down Sycamore apartment complex. Nova Glass made me feel like I was right there with the eclectic group of characters. However, the plot twists fell a bit short for me. I felt like this was more of a mystery than a thriller. There just weren’t any jaw-dropping twists like I’ve come to expect from Nova Glass. That said, I did enjoy the atmospheric writing even if the twists were not surprising. For these reasons, I rate it 3/5 stars.

Holy Moly! Now this book was an unexpected surprise! I had seen the hype but of course had to judge for myself - and I was NOT disappointed. The web of lies circling the Sycamores will keep you on your toes and waiting for the next ball to drop - and trust me it will. Twists and turns at every corner, an absolute page turner that is not to be missed.

Get out your popcorn for this easy digestible mystery thriller , because you wont be going anywhere once you get started !

If Dual POV's , trashy Motel's and dirty little secrets are your jam, then this is a read for you !

This is a slow burn thriller that packs a lot of punch in the last 100 pages with multiple riveting scenes throughout the story to keep you burning for more.

Cass has been dumped and kicked out of her "posh" lifestyle with her boyfriend Reid who has left her for another younger woman leaving Cass with nothing and no career to fall to ,as she loved a little too much playing the perfect house wife . Now she finds her self covered in dirty overalls fixing tenants dirty clogged sinks and repairing AC units at a Motel, she is desperate and willing to do what she can to get ahead .

We meet Anna very quickly who received a phone call from her husband Henry who calls her frantically apologizing for what he's done and how much he loves her , and then the line goes dead...and so does Henry !!

Anna can't stand being in their home so she packs up and moves into the room he was renting at the Motel Sycamore he was using as a studio for his art work. What transpires next is a bunch of shocking revelations that keeps the reader yearning for more to try and solve this crazy mystery and trust me it does get wild!!

Without giving too much away I think the author did a great job of intertwining multiple characters that live in the Motel that are just scrapping by in life and how sometimes you don't need much in life to make connections and find where you belong .

The only thing that I was not a fan of was the ending , as I found it a bit tacky and was expecting something a little more liberating , but otherwise it was a fun quick read !

Thank you Netgalley , Harlequin Trade Publishing and Seraphina Nova Glass for this thrilling digital ARC!

This is a fast-paced thriller with a cast of characters who entertain and keep you guessing. The writing is very atmospheric and I could really picture the motel, the characters, and the grittiness of everything happening throughout the story.
Thank you, NetGalley, and the publisher for access to this e-ARC.

I found this book to be extremely slow moving and quite boring, to put it nicely. Unlikeable characters, out-there storylines, and depressing setting contributed to the lack of interest on my part.

After several attempts to forge on through, I sadly had to DNF this writing. Very disappointed in this author.

I was awarded an ARC of The Vacancy in Room 10 by Seraphina Nova Glass.

This is a nonstop thriller with strong female characters, alternating POV chapters and tons of twists and turns that you don’t see coming!

I was immediately drawn into the story with its incredible descriptive setting (you almost want to take a shower when reading), the community of crazy but loving misfits and the engaging writing.

There were so many things going on in this book, I didn’t want to stop reading once I started! I wanted to know how it was all going to pull together. Suspense, intrigue, murder, community, comedy, romance…this book has it all! I can see how people are saying this could easily be made into a movie.

Definitely a must read for 2024! I thoroughly enjoyed this book (first time reading a Glass book) and will definitely be reading more from this author! I easily gave this 4⭐️ on Goodreads but more like 4.5⭐️

So thankful to NetGalley, Harlequin Trade Publishing and Graydon House for this advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest review.

Now, this was a fantastic thriller to start 2024 off with! The story had just the right amount of small details to paint a beautiful scene in my mind. The writing felt smooth and natural with the dual POV, which kept me engaged and wanting to continue reading. The twists and suspense were perfect for this story; just when I suspected something, the plot surprised me. It was quite refreshing to read! I highly recommend this book.

This was surprisingly good! Once I was able to keep the characters straight, the story quickly became so wild! There are deaths, mysterious notes, grief and, somehow, fun surrounding the Sycamores apartment complex. When everything started unraveling, I had no clue how this madness would end! Thoroughly enjoyed reading this!

This book was an interesting ride.

Two women happen to cross paths at a motel turned apartment complex. They've both been through some things in their lives, and the both know a man who died. The same man.

The novel starts off strong, with the death of a character and a confession that will turn another character's life upside down. Seraphina does an excellent job of pulling you into her story immediately, and then weaving a web that keeps you hooked until the very end.

But the best part of the book? Definitely the insane cast of characters. There were so many fun side characters and I really feel like they made the story. As much as I wanted the main mystery to be solved, I also didn't want the book to end because of all the fun people that Glass created. They are flawed and ridiculous and oh so much fun.

If you need a book that'll keep you gripped till the end, this is the one for you.

This was amazing..Characters that you can't help but care about in a setting that's described so well it's as if you're right there with them every mysterious step of the way. Definitely a must-read!

The Vacancy In Room 10 by Seraphina Nova Glass was brilliant. This was my first novel by this author and I am craving more. This story kept me guessing the entire time I was reading it. It held my interest fully. It was very suspenseful. All of the characters are likeable. I would love to see future stories about the Sycamore and the residents there, especially little Frank! If you are looking for a thrilling mystery that is decently fast paced, then look no further. I highly recommend this one!
Thank you to the author, publishers, and Netgalley for an early release of this book.

Ok this one was so damn fun! I know I can count on the author for a totally entertaining popcorn thriller that’s fast paced and addictive but this had something extra that made this wildly appealing to me. The something extra for me was the characters in this slightly wacky thriller. The majority of the book takes place at The Sycamores which was such an atmospheric and slightly depressing setting. The residents of the complex were something else, all kinds of down on their luck people with larger than life personalities, especially the pool moms. Those ladies cracked me up! You hear from Cass and Anna in alternating chapters and this really kept the plot moving for me in a fast paced manner. There were several great reveals throughout and I appreciated the way the author placed them, again it kept things swiftly moving along and I finished this in just a couple of sittings. Overall this was a blast, definitely pick it up if you want to be totally entertained and enjoy a well plotted mystery.

This was my first Seraphina Nova Glass novel. I will be coming back for more.

First off, I really enjoy a premise that involves a contained population. Not locked room, per se, but a small community of people who are tied to a specific small area - think "The Club" by Ellery Lloyd (which I loved) but with the opposite tax bracket. And with new authors I never quite know how twisty or not twisty a book might be, so the first read is always a huge surprise. And this was no exception. I love the strong female characters and I couldn't wait to find out how everything tied together.

In the end, I really enjoyed how this played out. Some parts confused me a bit in the beginning but it all came together beautifully. Recommend!

“I promised myself that I won't do something like this again. I wish more than anything that I kept that promise.”

This thriller is absolute perfection. This was my first read from Seraphina Nova Glass and this is one that I will absolutely be recommending.
I absolutely loved the mystery of this one but I also really loved the characters. Not only the two main characters, Cass and Anna, but she also has side characters that are just as lovable.

When Anna Hartley's husband, Henry, calls her with a terrible, guilty confession, she can't believe what she hears. This can’t be real. Desperate for answers, Anna checks in to The Sycamores, the run-down motel turned apartment Henry rented as an art studio. The more she learns, and the less sense things seem to make, she finds herself wondering: Did she ever really know Henry at all?

Thank you Netgalley, htpbooks and the hive for providing me an advance readers copy in exchange for my honest review.

This was my first read from Seraphina Glass and it won’t be my last! Thank you for this ARC.

The story kept me guessing the entire time. Every time I thought I had it figured out, another twist was right around the corner. I wasn’t able to predict the ending although I thought I did a few times. Cass and Anna were characters that kept me interested the entire novel. All the women really band together and help out. This suspenseful thriller is definitely worth a read when it comes out April 9! I am excited to leave my review on Goodreads, Amazon, and tik tok!

This was my first book from this author and she didn’t disappoint. The book starts off strong and the creepy, mysterious vibe of it all continues throughout the story. I was not able to predict the ending and was just captivated the whole time.
