OBSESSED!! Thank you NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing, Graydon House for granting me access to the book in exchange for an honest review.

OH MY GOSH!! OH MY GOSH!! OH MY GOSH!! THIS IS HOW YOU DO A THRILLER!! I AM COMPLETELY BLOWN AWAY AND LEFT SPEECHLESS BY THIS UNIQUE, GRIPPING, SUSPENSEFUL, EMOTIONAL AND TOTALLY IRRESISTIBLE MASTERPIECE!!! I COMPLETELY DEVOURED THIS BOOK AND WAS ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT UNTIL THE VERY END!! THIS IS MY FIRST READ BY SERAPHINA NOVA GLASS AND IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! I CANNOT WAIT TO READ MORE OF HER BOOKS!! I KNOW ITS ONLY JANUARY AND I READ A LOT OF THRILLERS BUT THIS ONE WILL BE ON MY FAVORITES LIST FOR 2024!!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

The eerie setting, suspense, drama, mystery, secrets, insane tension, action, unusual plot, fast pacing, dual perspectives, short chapters, character driven, unexpected twists and turns and a shocking ending is what makes this a wild crazy ride!! This was like a neighborhood (drama) thriller with real and believable characters where everyone knew each others secrets. I adored the pool moms so much!! They were such a hoot!! I loved how overtime they became family and were there for each other no matter what.

Cass and Anna both find themselves living at the creepy run-down motel turned into apartments for completely different reasons. Left dumped and homeless by her cheating ex, Cass finds herself running the dilapidated old apartments for a place to live for free. After losing her husband, Anna decides to move into the unit her husband was using for an art studio in order to figure out what really happened to him. It doesn't take long before things get complicated and their lives intersect!

Overall, I was completely engrossed from start to finish! If you are looking for a riveting and suspenseful thriller with well developed characters and that is unputdownable then this is the book for you! I highly recommend and a million stars!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was my first Seraphina Glass read and it won’t be my last! I loved the dual POV from Cass and Anna. The story was so interesting to me and it was hard to put down. I love when I'm completely wrong about where a book is going and what the outcome might be. I felt that Anna and Cass were such good FMC as they were relatable and unlikable at times and you could really get into their stories. I was a little sad to have the story end as there were so many characters I wanted to kept up with.

"The Vacancy in Room 10" a riveting suspense novel that captivates from the very first page. Authored by Seraphina Nova Glass, the book not only delivers an enthralling plot but also kept me in rapt attention. This was my first Glass book, and it will definitely not be my last! I already added her backlist to my TBR.

One of the most striking aspects of the book is the author's exceptional ability to create vivid and evocative descriptions. The setting comes alive with rich details, allowing readers to immerse themselves in the atmospheric tension of the story. I felt like I was there, at the Sycamores, completely immersed in this "crappy apartment" building. I knew the characters intimately; I was close to the story.

Also. Glass brilliantly weaves the characterization expertly into her novel. Not only do I feel personally connected to the two female leads, Cass and Anna, but the entire Sycamore gang, Jackie, Crystal and Rose, along with Barry, Frank and more.
There is more than one mystery, a few deaths and it all comes together for a satisfying end. I predict this will be one of the thrillers to watch in 2024!
Thank you to the author, publisher and Netgalley for the early ARC. 4.5 stars

I was really excited about this one because I had read On a Quiet Street by this author, last year and really enjoyed it. For the Vacancy in Room 10, I was completely sucked in, from the beginning. And I always love books that will do that to me-the ones that I just cannot put down. In fact, I read this one in about 24 hours (two different sittings). I just had to know what the heck was going on! The biggest complaint I have is that there was A LOT going on which sometimes seemed very over complicated and started to feel very unrealistic. My theories kept changing throughout the book which was kind of fun, but I did start to piece together a few things as we got closer to the end. I think Seraphina Nova Glass is very underrated and more people need to be reading her books! I will definitely recommend this one to the readers that will want something very fast paced and will keep them guessing.

You can never be sure where the next page will take you in this thriller. It is gripping and suspenseful all the way through, though the back end is particularly good.

When Cass gets kicked out of her luxurious home by her cheating boyfriend, she takes a job as a handyman in a rundown motel in exchange for free rent. She tries to keep mostly to herself but that proves difficult when you’re in and out of people’s homes doing repair work. She sees some things, she hears some things and she does some things that aren’t quite run of the mill.

There are suspicious deaths, eccentric characters, finger pointing and many dangerous situations. I don’t want to give anything away, but I highly recommend this if you love a good mystery. For the sheer entertainment value this book provided me, I give it 5 stars. Thank you, NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing for the ARC.

WOW! This book was so good! This is the first book I’ve read by Seraphina and I was hooked. Anna gets a disturbing call from her Husband Henry, saying he killed someone. When Henry washes up dead, it’s assumed he killed himself but did he? Anna moves to the sycamores apartment complex to try and figure out what was going on and what really happened to Henry. There was so much going on in this book. It’s one that you just can’t put down because you need to know what happens next This book was fast paced and interesting. So many twists and turns. I’d definitely recommend this book! Thank you Netgalley, Serpaphina and Harlequin Trade Publishing for the ARC!

I really enjoyed this one and think my students will as well. Seraphina Nova Glass always makes you think and feel and this one will prompt interesting ethical discussions for the class. This was an easy to read and fast to get very involved in the story.

She continues to surprise me with her original stories, I loved this character, two different woman in bad situations and how they overlap and eventually conquer. Mystery in some ways but a very human, brought tears to my eyes kind of way. Look forward to her next one!

The whirlwind this book sent me through. I loved this book more than words. This thriller was fast paced, completely addictive and intense. You will ride that rollercoaster of twists and turns and when you think you know…you don’t. This book gave me ‘The Vanishing Hour’ vibes which I was literally here for! We follow a widow who is determined to figure out what happened to her husband and why he spent most of his time in an apartment.

What she doesn’t know is the secrets that not just this apartment holds but the entire complex and the people within it. Anna and Cass’ (the superintendent of the motel) lives start to overlap and intermingle as they both begin to be intertwined in a dangerous situation.

If you love a book with a beautiful slow burn, dual pov, found family, a mysterious motel backdrop then this book is for you. I couldn’t set this book down until the very last page and let me tell you—that ending will have you sitting in silence 🤐. One of my new favorite authors! Add this book to your TBR right away!!!

This one kept me turning the pages! Cass is a woman who has been through a lot in her relationship with Reid. He ends up throwing her out of their house for a younger woman and Cass ends up a "Handy-mam" at a run down apartment complex. Cass ends up mixed up with a few tenants and things start to get bad for a few of them. Anna moves to the Sycamore apartment that her husband, who had committed suicide, was renting to use as a studio for his painting. Secrets start to come together and twists start to fall into place. Is everything what it looks like or is there a lot more to it? Thanks NetGalley and the publisher for the advance ecopy.

What a FUN and fast paced book! Two very different stories take place at this very rundown apartment complex, the Sycamores. Cass and Anna are both dealing with larger than life problems while at the Sycamores that seem to spiral out of control at the same time. I loved both of these characters and how this story unfolds! I would highly recommend this mystery-thriller!

I very much enjoyed this book. Thank you for the opportunity to read it early. This is a new author to me and she did not disappoint. I can’t wait for the opportunity to read another from her. It kept me on the edge of my seat and guessing the entire time. I teach elementary age kids so will not be recommending it to my students but will be recommending it to family and friends. I loved the characters and their personalities and descriptions. I loved the storyline and the suspense that I get the entire book.

Okay, hear me out. I think this author loves weird and hoodrat characters for her books. Nothing really wrong with that, it just reminds me of the old me when I grew up in a trailer, poor and miserable.. I’m dead serious. That poor old life is one I’d clearly love to forget.

Cass and Anna both live at the Sycamores. An old run down motel turned into sad small apartments. What brought them there in itself is sad. Cass’s husband was a cheating prick that basically forced her to move out with no money. Anna’s husband committed suicide. Her husband, Henry, had a room there where he turned it into his own ‘painting studio’. Anna wants to stay and dig into the final weeks that led to his death, desperately trying to understand his decision to end his life.

Throw in some pool girls, a few bad guys and you got characters that are very similar to ones that played in that old show My Name is Earl with Jason Lee. Remember that show? Maybe you don’t. If you do, then you get my drift. Yes, it was funny. I love me some Jason Lee. However, I don’t really care for these types of characters in my books. It’s a me thing, I guess.

I did enjoy the reveal and the why. I suspected this person very early on and nothing really wrong with that. That makes a nice twist.

What I didn’t like were a few other plot lines thrown in. The dialogue is somewhat straight from the trailer type nonsense. The pool girls are pure comedic hoodrats. Some of it was actually entertaining, I’ll admit. Some just silly.

Cool fact- Seraphina Nova Glass is an Assistant professor and Playwright-In-Residence at the University of Texas, in Arlington. Just a little over an hour away from me.

Thrilling. Fast-paced. Seraphina Nova Glass is quickly becoming a favorite author of mine. Told from dual perspective, this bingeable mystery leaves you guessing until the shocking end. I love a neighborhood drama where the setting (an old motel turned apartments) becomes just as much of a character as the actual people living there. I have a feeling this is going to be a top thriller of 2024. If you’re looking for a domestic thriller complete with murder, where everyone at one point is a suspect, drama, and friends that become family - look no further. My only complaint? I did kind of see the suspect from the beginning… but the twists that come throughout? Shocking!

WOW! I loved every single thing about this book. The characters, the setting, the mystery, the drama, the twists, the ending! Perfection. And I rarely say that about thrillers.

This was very fast paced with non-stop twists and turns. I truly mean it when I say I couldn’t put it down. Read the synopsis, avoid the reviews, and go into this one knowing very little.

I can see this being a contender for best thriller of 2024! There is nothing else I can say… this is a must read.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Many thanks to the talented and sweetest photographer @this.human.reads for the pic 🫶🏻 mad love.

#ad I received an eARC of this book - all thoughts are mine and mine alone - many thanks @thrillerbookloverspromotions and @seraphinanovaglass #partner

This book begins with a kick and will have you glued to the pages throughout. There’s been a suicide at the Sycamores - or was it a suicide. When the widow comes to stay in her husband’s old apartment, she’s determined to find out what happened to her husband.

What she doesn’t know is all the random people who also live at this apartment building. Also with a bar right across the street there’s never a dull moment at the Sycamore apartments.

This book not only carries the suspense it packs the laughs also. Hilarious, laugh out loud moments.

This is another book that you forget you’re even reading. If you love thrillers - you’ll love this book.

You will become attached to every character - even the slightly more creepy ones - combined, they make for a killer read.

I just reviewed The Vacancy in Room 10 by Seraphina Nova Glass. #TheVacancyinRoom10 #NetGalley

4.5/5 ⭐️

This book is a rare find for a thriller! I'm in awe at how invested in the characters I became, including the side characters. In addition, the setting of a motel turned landing place for the downtrodden was absolute perfection.

The residents of The Sycamore are a tight knit and quirky crew, with no secrets between them (well, maybe a couple). Told from dual POV we follow Cass, the superintendent for the dilapidated complex who is just trying to scrape by - by any means necessary. Anna is recently widowed and moves to The Sycamore to try to find answers on her late-husband's death. I won't say more as I think it's best to go into this book blind.

With short chapters, lovable characters, and twists galore I have no doubt you will have as hard of a time putting this book down as I did. Definitely add this one to your tor!
