This is definitely one of my favourite thrillers of the year. I literally could not put this book down!!
The story starts when Anna receives a phone call from her husband to say he has killed someone and he can't go on, moments before he dies. He is an artist and has been painting using a motel room at 'The Sycamores'. Following his death Anna takes on his apartment to try to uncover more about his final days. What made him seek a room here and why did he spend so much time with so many of the residents?
Anna's story alternates with Cass who also lives and works at the same Motel, following a downhill chain of events since she separated from her wealthy boyfriend. Cass does repairs around the motel to cover her rent but is desperate to find a new job and turn her life around. Unfortunately Cass makes some terrible decisions which lead her to a crisis point. She starts blackmailing men intent on having affairs to make some extra money but it isn't long before this leads her into trouble...
I loved the setting and could picture the rundown motel perfectly. It would make a brilliant film!
The characters were all so well written. The plot is fast paced and I felt totally invested in each of the characters lives. There were lots of unexpected twists and turns along the way, making it impossible to put down!
This is the first book that I've read by Seraphina Nova Glass but I'm so excited to have discovered a brilliant new author. I can't wait to look up and read her back catalogue!! If you love an intense, original thriller I highly recommend this one!

A massive thank you to @seraphinanovaglass @graydonhousebooks @thrillerbookloverspromotions for my gifted copy!
Here’s the thing, my favorite sub-genre of thrillers is domestic suspense. I love a messy family with hair full of secrets. So, for the fact that it took until this year to read Seraphina Nova Glass, is absurd. This was my third read by her and I totally get why @blondethrillerbooklover says this is THE book for 2024. I am floored y’all.
Told in dual POV, Anna and Cass, you are in for a non-stop, not putting this down at ANY rate ride. We start with a literal bang and I thought, “oh snap, we’re doing this.. now?!” So when I say non-stop, I mean pedal to the floor lies and deception everywhere.
The ending was also very jaw to the floor and satisfying as have the past two I’ve read by SNG been. The hype is real, the vibes are it. Not out until April, but dang it I will not stop talking about it.
QOTD: Did you grab Iron Flame today? If not, whatcha reading?

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️➕️
I can't explain how much I loved this book.....but I'll try 🤣
I was first introduced to Seraphina earlier this year with her last thriller; The Vanishing Hour, and it 👏🏼 was 👏🏼 great 👏🏼.
I knew as soon as @blondethrillerbooklover said we were doing an exclusive tour for her newest thriller , I HAD to jump on board. And I was not regretting that choice one bit.
This book is gritty, unputdownable, insanely amazing, and jaw-dropping......to say the least. If you love thrillers, you will absolutely DEVOUR this book! It's ,hands down, THE book of 2024!
I can't say anything else or I'll give it away, but TRUST ME when I say, PREORDER THIS BABY NOW!!!!!!!

Omg this was so good!! THE VACANCY IN ROOM 10 is a gripping thriller. It is a rollercoaster ride of suspense & action that I couldn't put down. With its jam-packed sequences, the narrative weaves seamlessly between 2 ✌🏼 compelling storylines, that kept me fully invested from start to finish. The relentless pace of the plot had me on the edge of my seat, & the book's swift readability only intensified the experience.
I loved the unexpected twists & in a refreshing turn of events, I found myself unable to predict the outcome, adding an extra layer of excitement. This element of surprise, coupled with the adrenaline-inducing action, makes it a standout in the thriller genre.
Mark your calendars 📅 for April pub day because this is a must-read!
🎬 it is already being optioned for the big screen & will be so cool to see come to life!

Want to be addicted to a book ? Consumed and put aside all responsibilities, well this is the book for you. This was such a fast paced, non stop thrill of a ride. There is always something happening, you're always thrown into the peak of the action. The pacing is on point to keep you completely and utterly invested. You will not be able to stop reading until the stunning conclusion.
The characters in this book are so much fun, they are flawed, funny, intense, and conniving, which make for such an entertaining ride. I didn't know who to trust all through it. The plot was intricately constructed, throwing you off the ultimate plot twist time and time again. Just when you think you're right about something, oh no you aren't! Glass throws you in an unimaginable way. It is complex and thought out to perfection. This book as a movie would be GOLD ! Or a series? The Sycamores, that would be chef's kiss 👌
Glass did a fantastic job with her engaging writing, the multiple POV's with Anna & Cass and her descriptive scenes which will totally play in your mind so vividly. The ride this book took me on was perfection, I loved every second of it and I'm sure you will too.
If you're looking for a fast paced, bingeworthy, twisty, action packed thriller with a great cast of characters, you'll want to add this one to your TBR !
✨️Thank you to @thrillerbookloverspromotions, @graydonhousebooks & @seraphinanovaglass for my free ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Anna’s husband calls her, crying, confessing to a murder; then hours later turns up dead. With her world crumbling around her and nothing making sense she decides to move into his art studio at the Sycamores to try and feel close to him. However threatening notes start to show up and the longer she stays the more she begins to think things aren’t as they seem. But is she willing to risk her own safety to get to the bottom of it?
Cass was down on her luck when she came across the Sycamores, taking a job ma again the run down apartments as a last resort. Needing more money she starts blackmailing sleazy men. And it works….until she tries it on the wrong guy and now has to fight to keep her secrets hidden.
Told in dual POV we get to go through this mystery alongside both Cass and Anna. I loved how strong of characters both women were but at the same time this is a thriller so I also loved that I couldn’t fully get a read on them and who to trust. That went for the whole book actually, I was kept guessing where the twists were going to come from and which characters were more than they appeared.
Which speaking of characters, while this is a thriller I really enjoyed the parts of found family we saw. It gave some nice light moments in between all the action. I just didn’t want to put this book down until the very end. This is a twisty read you won’t want to miss! And man if this is how Seraphina Nova Glass writes thrillers I am definitely going to start working through her backlist!

4.5 stars
Thank you so much to @thrillerbookloverspromotions, @seraphinanovaglass, & @graydonhousebooks for the E-ARC.
I had so much fun reading this! Getting to know Anna and Cass so indepth made the story that much more complex. The pool girls were also such a comedic relief when so much was going wrong. Not only did this story include murder but it explored friendship and what it means to be family. For location, the Sycamores were sketchy at best and I loved it. When things started to pick up… THEY REALLY PICKED UP. I flew through the last 50% of the book in hours. I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good thriller / mystery, with a great twist (well several twists that blew my mind!)

Ok first of all, who am I posting about a 2024 book in 2023?! Second, if I have already read a book coming out in April of next year that does NOT have audio available you KNOW it has got to be good! Let me tell you, this book is a glorious doozy that you absolutely must read! I have been a huge fan of Seraphina Nova Glass since reading (and loving) On A Quiet Street, and this one is by far my favorite of hers yet!
Anna and Cass are the two main protagonists in this story, each in the middle of having had something awful happen to them, both winding up at the same run down apartment complex near the Rio Grande called the Sycamores. Cass is the superintendent, finding herself in a riches to rags situation after a messy divorce, blackmailing sleazy men to supplement her income. Anna is there to figure out what happened to Henry, her husband who rented a studio apartment and called to say he might have killed someone and then his body washed up on the Rio Grande.
This one had my attention from the start and I loved the dual POVs from Cass and Anna. The short chapters helped build the intensity as well as keep the pacing steady, and I was flipping through this one so fast, especially the last 20%, as I could not get to the end fast enough to see what would happen. The apartment residents also provided some tension relief and I found myself wanting to be there with them just for a minute, maybe for the Friday night BBQ’s that they had together.
I loved this one and all of its twists, I could not wait to see how Cass would get herself out of her predicament, and I loved the sass that she brought to most situations. Anna was endearing as well, having gone through a lot, and then while not sure what to make of what she was learning from everyone yet, she kept pushing through to get to the truth.
Thank you to Graydon House and @ThrillerBookLoversPromotions for the advanced copy to review, this one is available 4/9/2024. Again, do not sleep on this one, add it now!

Cass never imagined she would be in charge of a run down, seedy, roadside motel, until her life takes an unexpected turn and she finds herself doing just that. The Sycamores are full of quirky characters, scary situations, and nonstop action. Cass finds herself in the midst of secrets, lies, murder, and a few blackmail incidents.
I loved the dual narratives, unexpected twists, and fast paced pages! The characters are so entertaining and yet untrustworthy. Each one of them has a strong personality, playing an important role in the events that unfold. I devoured this book until the very end, and wowzas, it did not disappoint!
Mark your calendars for this, publishing April 9, 2024!

The Vacancy in Room 10 is officially the first book on my 2024 favourite thrillers list.
Yes, friends, the hype is real!
Twists + complex plot + dual POVs + character development + more twists + perfect setting = one happy reader. Aka me.
Seraphina Nova Glass creates a world at the Sycamores that surprises, delights, and shocks. It’s the seedier, darker version of Schitts Creek that I never knew I needed and now can’t get out of my head.
The character development, especially with Anna and Cass, is impressive, and the “pool girls” add humour and warmth to the story. What really gives the book an edge is the way Seraphina Nova Glass crafts her plot so that it is tight and twisty, while simultaneously invoking different emotions. While reading, my heart raced, I laughed, I held my breath, I cheered, I smiled and had more than a few OMG moments.
And, the ending? Absolute perfection 🤯
Swipe for the synopsis and dont forget to add it your @goodreads account!

I couldn't put this book down. Loved all the twists. This book had everything I enjoy--mystery, funny scenes and characters, unique setting, and an engaging plot. Plus, a community who bonds and is loyal. So much to love about this one. I will be reading more from this author.

The Vacancy in room 10 is a wild ride with twists and turns me obsessed. I didn’t want to put it down,as I wanted to know more and more about these two women’s lives and how they could be connected! I think my favorite part is the pool ladies and their love for each other! It’s fun getting a thrill ride but also lovable characters that add so much more to the story! It’s one of those books where you sit down, then look up and realize you’ve been reading for hours. You were so lost in their world!

Wow! This book had everything I look for in a thriller. It was suspenseful and kept me guessing throughout. When I thought I had things figured out, the author threw in another red herring to keep me second guessing myself.
I adored the setting of The Sycamores, a rundown motel turned into apartments, and the full cast of characters living there. They were all so eccentric, and each of them was a suspect in my mind at one time or another. The dual perspectives of Anna and Cass were perfect for this story, and I found both of these characters relatable, and actually likable, in their own way. I want more books with these characters!
I was able to put some things together, but not everything. The things I did figure out didn’t stop me from loving this one! This was my first Seraphina Nova Glass read, but it definitely won’t be my last. All my thriller loving friends will want to get their hands on this one when it releases on April 9, 2024!

This is a gripping novel that will be perfect for fans of Darby Kane and Shari Lapena! This is definitely a book to keep on your radar!

Anna's husband calls and confesses to murd3r. She moves into the Sycamore's where he had his art studio to try to find answers. Cass has moved to the Sycamore's when her relationship with her boyfriend ends. She is the handma'am in exchange for lower rent. She still struggles to make ends meet and begins blackmailing men to "make" extra cash.
review
This book has three main characters: Anna, Cass, and Rosa. They are all very different women but are intrigual in eachothers lives without knowing it. By the end, they will be friends for a lifetime. They make sure certain men get what they deserve.
This book was really great! You know me always going in blind and I skimmed the synopsis, and that was enough for me to know I needed to read this one. There are no loose ends! It was a thriller with a happy ending. What more can you ask for in a book? My friends, the answer is nothing!
Read this Book If:
🏠You want a thriller that will keep you guessing
🏠You want an ending with NO cliffhangers

I was recently exposed to Seraphina Nova Glass earlier this year when I read “The Vanishing Hour”, so when I saw this opportunity to read this one super early, I jumped on it. It did not disappoint at all!!
This book was old in the third person from the alternating POV’s of Cass- the apartment manager/handy “ma’am” who recently lost everything when her BF left her for a younger woman—and Anna, who moved to The Sycamores to find answers to her why her husband sudden suicide. I really loved these characters. Even though they were VERY different, they were also very similar and had much more in common than they would have thought. They were very relatable and I felt like Seraphina Nova Glass really put a lot of emphasis on how strong women can be when faced with a crisis, even if they are hurting. I also really loved the sense of community she portrayed with all the tenants of The Sycamores (especially the pool girls- loved them)
I loved the story so much and I swear I thought I had it all figured out but nope—so shocked and amazed! If you love super twisty, domestic thrillers with strong, BADASS female characters, check this one out!!!
TRIGGERS: suicide, death of a loved one, murder, death by illness, abuse, drugs.

This book has officially taken the top seat as my all time favorite thriller!! Seraphina Glass really knocked it out of the park with this book! It’s SO good!
The story takes place at The Sycamores, a sketchy run-down motel turned long-term lease apartments and it is the perfect backdrop for all of the seedy residents. The residents are both hilarious and secretive, which leaves you wondering who you can actually trust. The alternating POV’s between Cass and Anna will suck you in and keep you glued to your seat to see what unfolds next. And the ending was perfect for this story!
If you love a good, fast passed thriller, this book will quickly become your favorite! It will now be my most recommended book! Add it to your TBR and mark your calendars to grab this one on pub day! You won’t regret it!
When Anna’s husband calls and confesses to killing someone, followed by his body washing up on the banks of the Rio Grande, it’s up to her to piece together what really happened. After moving into the run-down motel-room-turned-apartment he rented as an art studio, Anna spends her days getting closer to the neighbors and absorbing every bit of gossip about her husband and the buildings’ tenants. But the more she learns, the less sense things seem to make. And when threatening letters start appearing at her door, Anna has to decide what’s more important—the truth, or her own safety.
Cass has been running the Sycamores, an apartment complex that has seen better decades. Barely scraping by as a superintendent, Cass starts blackmailing sleazy men, threatening to expose them and ruin their lives. It’s easy, and it works, and nobody gets hurt—until she tries it on the wrong guy. With everything to lose and no one to trust, Cass has to fight to keep her secrets under wraps, especially with Anna snooping around asking questions…

Guys add this thriller to you #TBR. I was addicted to this twisty thriller and it was one wild ride. Multiple characters. Multiple POV. Cass and Rosa were bad ass women. They were most definitely my favorite characters in the book. The author used a run down motel turned apartment complex as the main setting for the book. Every time she describes the “pool girls” out by the pool drinking their high lifes and playing cards I wanted to join them! Definitely a top thriller read for me this year.

Wow!! I don’t even know where to begin with this one! I have read books by Seraphina before and absolutely loved this one so I knew as soon as Tonya posted about it that I wanted to be on this tour! This book grabs your attention from the very first page and I absolutely LOVED the start of it! There were a few parts in the middle that slowed down for me, but I was soooo invested in the storyline and figuring out what was going to happen and what had happened that I just had to keep going! There was so much suspense and mystery in this novel that just keeps the reader wanting more and there were so many times that I didn’t want to put the book down because I just needed to finish it (but alas toddlers don’t always want to wait for you to finish a chapter or a book LOL). Overall, this is definitely one that I would recommend!
