Oh goodness this book was so freaking good! I loved the alternating character chapters. I absolutely LOVED the depth and layers of every character! I became so invested in each of their stories! I couldn’t get enough of how many wtf moments there were! Oh my gosh and that explosive ending sent me reeling and I can’t stop thinking about it! By far one of the best books I’ve ever read much less just this year! 10 billion stars!

I know I just finished this but I cannot wait for it to come out so I can add to my "top reads" shelf. Glass does an incredible job of keeping the reader guessing. The way she ends each chapter is like a mini cliffhanger. I loved it. I know this will be a top thriller for next year, so add it to your goodreads and go pre-order,you will not be disappointed.

What I liked about this book is that the story is original . Two woman who happen to cross paths at a motel turned into an apartment complex. They are both heartbroken for different reasons and one had a secret to keep while the other has a mystery to solve and they may or may not overlap . I enjoyed both POVs but felt the story was a little slow paced for my liking at times

Picture this: your artist husband calls you, weirdly confesses to killing someone, and then turns up dead in a river. He’s been renting a room at a sketchy AF, rundown, long-term rental motel to use as a studio space, so you move in temporarily to try to find out what happened. You mingle with the other tenants to pick up gossip — including Cass, who’s recently been kicked out of her house by her cheating long-term boyfriend and is working as the motel maintenance person (and extorting shitty dudes for money) … and then you start getting threatening letters and things get extra crazy.

I loved this — never a boring moment, with a great cast of eclectic, funny, interesting characters (omg the POOL GIRLS!), and so many twists and turns and surprises — I truly had no idea what was going to happen, which is a real feat when I’m reading a thriller!

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fast-paced, exciting thriller with a little side of snark.

I loved how this book constantly had something going on without becoming overcomplicated. It’s certainly the twisty domestic thriller I was hoping for, but so much more. The characters felt so real and so likable, I loved the plot and the twists and the end was everything. I finished this in one night. I can’t wait to read more from Seraphina Nova Glass. Many thanks to the author, Graydon House and Thriller Book Lover Promos for my eARC. The Vacancy in Room 10 will be published April 9th. I’ll be sure to remind you! 🖤

The Vacancy In Room 10 by Seraphina Nova Glass is a thriller set around an apartment and a murder. The plot revolves between two characters, Cass and Anna. Their lives are totally different from each other but get entangled due to fate. Although it was dual POV which makes the plot a bit easy to understand but too many things are going on with the characters at the same time. There are drops of mystery to maintain readers interest after every few pages. But, the most abundant thing in the plot is what the character thinks inside its head. So, the story gets a little bit lengthy to finish. The book is worth a one time read if you like slow plot and average characters. The book keeps your mind invested to reach the climax. For me the book deserves 4 stars. Thanks to the author for providing me with an opportunity to read and review the book.

Well JIMINEY McCRICKETS!!!! I’m laying it out there - favourite book of 2023. Hands down! 🤩🤩

This book was a whole helluva WTAF is going on 🫨🫨 Like zero clue!!! Seraphina is a literary wizard in suspense and mystery, and she had me dangling from the very beginning 🕵️‍♀️🕵️‍♀️

The setting was superb - she writes so descriptively - I felt I was there, at this run down motel 🏨 surrounded by the motley crew that had gravitated there. The pace of the book was fantastic and when that last third came in… whoosh!!! The plot was expertly weaved together. 👌👌

However, it’s the characters where Seraphina’s true strength lies (and for me, is ultimately what seals my investment as a reader). They are exquisitely written - Cass is a LEGEND!! ✊Every single character was worthy of a place in this book. Some I loved, some I wanted to slap 🙄, but each one (no matter how often they appeared) were solid characters. The dialogue, the expressions, everything about them so masterfully done! 🖤🖤

Another legend is Tonya at Thriller Book Lovers Promotions for offering me the opportunity to be part of this exclusive book tour and a huge thank you to Seraphina Nova Glass and Graydon House Books for the early e-arc 🙏🏻

Preorder this one now - FOMO is going to be aaaaaall over this in 2024 🤩🤩

This author can always be counted on to deliver a twisty domestic thriller, but believe me when I say that Glass has truly outdone herself with The Vacancy in Room 10! This atmospheric thriller was impossible to put down. Cass’s POV is a pulse-pounding thrill fest from the beginning and it balances well with Anna’s story, which builds slowly and plays with your emotions. The Sycamores and its residents jump to life right off the page and create the perfect backdrop for these two engrossing storylines to interconnect. My mind is always blown when everything connects perfectly at the end. Glass is an expert at this! When this comes out in April, make sure to clear your schedule because you won’t want to stop reading.

The Vacancy In Room 10 is a riveting mystery about two women who are down on their luck and find themselves living in an inexpensive apartment complex that was formerly a motel.

Cass is the handywoman of the complex and recently ousted from her posh life when her boyfriend dumps her for a much younger woman.

Anna has just lost her husband to suicide after a disturbing final phone call. She moves to the Sycamores complex, where he spent a lot of time working on his paintings. She's trying to understand how things went so terribly wrong.

They each end up uncovering more and more nefarious activity in the Sycamores. The setting is incredibly vivid in its bleakness. The cast of residents was very well drawn. I had such a clear image of each person.

The plot is very well paced and kept me guessing. The last quarter of the book was so good! I was glued to my Kindle to find out what would happen and how Cass and Anna's lives intersected. Add this one to your TBR!

I’m going to predict that this will be one of the best thrillers of 2024. This book had my jaw dropping the whole time. I did not see the plot twists coming at all. I loved both Cass’s character & the pool girls. The writing was so amazing-I could picture every single thing that was happening. This was my first book by this author & I have already bought & wishlisted the rest of her books. BRAVO! & thank you so much for the ARC!

4 out of 5 stars (4 / 5) Anna’s husband calls in a panic, confessing to killing someone. Next she knows, his body is found. This starts a whirlwind of emotions for Anna with wondering suicide, keeping his secret of killing someone and then losing her house and needing to find a job.

It turns out, the job she finds is the best that could have happened to her, she just can’t see that yet. She’s a “handy ma’am” (in her words) at a run-down apartment complex that has the most eclectic modge podge of people she’s ever seen. It’s dirty, it’s smelly and hardly anything works. She feels she has definitely hit bottom.

As the story continues, the other characters really start to take the limelight. They seemed to be background people, but the more you read, the more you realize how they are becoming an integral part of the story.

I don’t want to give the ending away, but the twists had me shocked, the broken facades had me gasping, the group of loyal women made my heart happy and the mystery came to an end with a boom. Fabulous! My favorite part (after all the mystery and drama) are the women and the choices that Anna makes even after the mystery is over.

Fabulous writing with very calculated details, I loved it!

Thank you to Thriller Book Lovers Promotions and Graydon House for the copy and chance to be on the tour!

This one is definitely going to be a top 2024 thriller!

I was hooked from the beginning! This one was gripping, twisty, and fast paced. And it kept me on the edge of my seat until the end and kept me guessing, which is always a plus.

We arrive a The Sycamores, a seedy former hotel turned apartment complex, filled with an interesting cast of characters. The two mains are very strong women. First is Cass, who is the superintendent/handy woman of the complex. She was in a relationship and lived in luxury, until she was unexpectedly dumped and kicked out of her home, landing here. Then we meet Anna, whose husband was using a room at The Sycamores as an art studio and has been found dead.

I love dual narration as it gives you different perspectives and having that from Cass and Anna worked well for me. I also loved the other residents, especially young Frank and his friendship with Cass! I didn't predict how this one would end!

Thanks so much to Seraphina Nova Glass, Graydon House Books, Thriller Book Lovers Promotions and NetGalley for allowing me to be a part of this exclusive tour!

Definitely be on the lookout for this one in 2024!

Wow, this was such a tense and twisty ride! You definitely don’t want to miss this bright gem! I was hooked from page 1 until the very last. While I figured out one of the plot twists, I loved this drama filled, addictive read.

*****Many thanks to Thriller book lovers promotions and Graydon House for my gifted copy in turn for a honest review.

I gave this 4.5 stars but rounding up to 5 stars on Goodreads.

This book was so good!  I really enjoyed it!  This was my 1st book by this author, but I will definitely be reading more!

Anna receives a call from her husband, Henry, moments before he dies.  He tells her he's killed someone and that he's sorry. She doesn't understand and needs to get to the bottom of his confession.  Grieve stricken, she decides to sell their house and move into his art studio in a rundown apartment that used to be a motel.  As she starts to investigate, she becomes more confused.  Then she starts to receive threatening letters, and she needs to decide if finding out the truth is worth her life.

Cass is the apartment's "handy ma'am" and runs the complex.  As the superintendent, she's barely making ends meat and decides to start blackmailing men for cash.  One night, she picks the wrong man.  Things start to spiral out of control, and she doesn't know who she can trust.  How far will she go to keep her sercret?

Told in dual POVs of Anna and Cass, this book was well written and unputdownable. The mystery and suspense had me turning pages, and I was completely shocked at one point!  The setting felt perfect for the story, and the list of characters were definitely entertaining.  I absolutely loved Cass!  Her "rough around the edges" demeanor and being the building super made her a great MC.  If you're looking for a fast-paced page turning thriller, this is it!  I highly recommend this book!

All the stars for The Vacancy in Room 10. This book started out strong and the pacing was great. Easily one of my favorite reads of the year.

This was a twisty ride! I love a great popcorn thriller and this was definitely one! It had my attention from page one to the end and was such an easy read! I had a hard time putting it down!

Cass used to live a fancy life until her divorce and she lost everything. She finds herself living at a rundown motel turned apartment complex as the handyman. She gets herself into a little bit of trouble when she needs money and comes up with an idea to get it. Things go from bad to worse from there!

Anna’s husband just committed suicide and had an apartment that this rundown place where he practiced painting. She couldn’t live in their home by herself one more second and decided to go stay at his studio spot. She starts uncovering secrets her husband carried and goes on a wild goose chase to figure out what really happened.

These stories come together in the most amazing way! You will definitely want to pick this up when it comes out in March 2024!

Edit: I was gifted this book from a Bookstagrammer who runs a promotion group- after rating this book 3 ⭐️ I was then confronted by the admin and reprimanded for not posting a 4 star review. I was then annexed from the group (without warning) for not giving this book (again) a higher than 4 star review- In my opinion a 3 ⭐️ read is a GOOD read- there are a lot of 3 star books which I constantly reccomend. I enjoyed alot of aspects of this book and was planning on promoting this book on my bookstagram feed and stories- but apparently my thoughts (and rating) on this book were not up to the standards/rules of this particular group.

* I will always be honest with my reviews and if I didnt find a book exceptional I will not hype it up and give it more stars then I feel it deserves.

I was never sent the “rules” of this promotion group. And if I was told from the begining that I must rate a book a certain way, I wouldn’t of joined. I never ever berate an author or their work- even if I do not like a particular book I KNOW for a fact someone else would enjoy it.. unfortunately whenever I see this book or hear about it I’ll think about the negative experience I had. I’m excited to see how the general public rates this book, as almost all the ratings on goodreads are from this boosktagram group who are expected to give 4 or 5 star ratings.

Anyways, here is my review that was oh so terribly rude.

Get your 🍿 ready! The Vacancy in Room 10 was a drama filled, entertaining, popcorn thriller. This story is filled with several unreliable characters which made this a fun ride, not knowing who to fully trust. I enjoyed the storyline, and the setting was unique- a breath of fresh air as most thriller drama books are set in ritzy, typical domestic settings.

Although there wasn’t any major jaw dropping twists and I did find some aspects predictable I still thoroughly enjoyed this read. It was entertaining and kept my interest all throughout. I thought the ending was perfect and was happy with the outcome!

I would reccomend this to those who enjoy neighborhood dramas, light thrillers, and for fans of author Liane Moriarty!

After reading the author’s last two books, I knew she was a must-read! Both were 5-star reads and she hit it out of the park again. “The Vacancy In Room 10” is another suspenseful thriller. This doesn’t publish until March 2024 but you can pre-order it on Amazon now. Don’t miss it!

There were a couple of tough female characters, but Cass is my favorite. She is independent, resourceful and creative. I’d love to have her around my house as a handyma’am! Every woman should learn her skills.

The characters are penned in detail. Very complex and complicated. And some of the twists are absolutely mind-blowing. This is a well-rounded and tense thriller that will keep you glued to the pages.

Sincere thanks to the author, Thriller Book Lovers Promotions and Graydon House for providing this complimentary ARC through NetGalley. As always, all opinions are my own and left voluntarily.

This is why I read books, to be immersed into the lives of these characters and feel like I’m right there experiencing all of the harrowing events alongside. Seraphina is so gifted at being able to pull a reader in and keep them there until the end! I was beyond thrilled to be included in this exclusive tour for @seraphinas upcoming release The Vacancy in Room 10. We are all in a group on Insta and have all been dying over how good this book is!! It isn’t out until April 9th, but it needs to be added to your TBR now! Thank me later!

It starts off with a bang when Anna’s husband calls her and confesses he has killed someone, then is found dead from apparent suicide. She decides to move into his run down apartment he has been using as an art studio to get close to the residents. She needs answers to a lot of questions! Cass is the superintendent and runs the Sycamores, the apartment complex. After being cheated on by her well off boyfriend, she finds herself barely scraping by and blackmailing men to make extra cash. It works, until she tries it on the wrong guy. Cass is trying desperately to keep her secrets, especially with Anna at the complex snooping around.

I couldn't put this book down! I was so interested to see what happened with Cass and Anna’s stories, and with what happened to Henry. I loved all the people who lived at the motel (not Eddie). And the pool girls! I love how they supported Cass!! Can't wait to read more by this author and see how this book explodes in 2024!!
