This one is definitely going to be a top 2024 thriller!

I was hooked from the beginning! This one was gripping, twisty, and fast paced. And it kept me on the edge of my seat until the end and kept me guessing, which is always a plus.

We arrive a The Sycamores, a seedy former hotel turned apartment complex, filled with an interesting cast of characters. The two mains are very strong women. First is Cass, who is the superintendent/handy woman of the complex. She was in a relationship and lived in luxury, until she was unexpectedly dumped and kicked out of her home, landing here. Then we meet Anna, whose husband was using a room at The Sycamores as an art studio and has been found dead.

I love dual narration as it gives you different perspectives and having that from Cass and Anna worked well for me. I also loved the other residents, especially young Frank and his friendship with Cass! I didn't predict how this one would end!

Thanks so much to Seraphina Nova Glass, Graydon House Books, Thriller Book Lovers Promotions and NetGalley for allowing me to be a part of this exclusive tour!

Definitely be on the lookout for this one in 2024!

Wow, this was such a tense and twisty ride! You definitely don’t want to miss this bright gem! I was hooked from page 1 until the very last. While I figured out one of the plot twists, I loved this drama filled, addictive read.

*****Many thanks to Thriller book lovers promotions and Graydon House for my gifted copy in turn for a honest review.

I gave this 4.5 stars but rounding up to 5 stars on Goodreads.

This book was so good!  I really enjoyed it!  This was my 1st book by this author, but I will definitely be reading more!

Anna receives a call from her husband, Henry, moments before he dies.  He tells her he's killed someone and that he's sorry. She doesn't understand and needs to get to the bottom of his confession.  Grieve stricken, she decides to sell their house and move into his art studio in a rundown apartment that used to be a motel.  As she starts to investigate, she becomes more confused.  Then she starts to receive threatening letters, and she needs to decide if finding out the truth is worth her life.

Cass is the apartment's "handy ma'am" and runs the complex.  As the superintendent, she's barely making ends meat and decides to start blackmailing men for cash.  One night, she picks the wrong man.  Things start to spiral out of control, and she doesn't know who she can trust.  How far will she go to keep her sercret?

Told in dual POVs of Anna and Cass, this book was well written and unputdownable. The mystery and suspense had me turning pages, and I was completely shocked at one point!  The setting felt perfect for the story, and the list of characters were definitely entertaining.  I absolutely loved Cass!  Her "rough around the edges" demeanor and being the building super made her a great MC.  If you're looking for a fast-paced page turning thriller, this is it!  I highly recommend this book!

All the stars for The Vacancy in Room 10. This book started out strong and the pacing was great. Easily one of my favorite reads of the year.

This was a twisty ride! I love a great popcorn thriller and this was definitely one! It had my attention from page one to the end and was such an easy read! I had a hard time putting it down!

Cass used to live a fancy life until her divorce and she lost everything. She finds herself living at a rundown motel turned apartment complex as the handyman. She gets herself into a little bit of trouble when she needs money and comes up with an idea to get it. Things go from bad to worse from there!

Anna’s husband just committed suicide and had an apartment that this rundown place where he practiced painting. She couldn’t live in their home by herself one more second and decided to go stay at his studio spot. She starts uncovering secrets her husband carried and goes on a wild goose chase to figure out what really happened.

These stories come together in the most amazing way! You will definitely want to pick this up when it comes out in March 2024!

Edit: I was gifted this book from a Bookstagrammer who runs a promotion group- after rating this book 3 ⭐️ I was then confronted by the admin and reprimanded for not posting a 4 star review. I was then annexed from the group (without warning) for not giving this book (again) a higher than 4 star review- In my opinion a 3 ⭐️ read is a GOOD read- there are a lot of 3 star books which I constantly reccomend. I enjoyed alot of aspects of this book and was planning on promoting this book on my bookstagram feed and stories- but apparently my thoughts (and rating) on this book were not up to the standards/rules of this particular group.

* I will always be honest with my reviews and if I didnt find a book exceptional I will not hype it up and give it more stars then I feel it deserves.

I was never sent the “rules” of this promotion group. And if I was told from the begining that I must rate a book a certain way, I wouldn’t of joined. I never ever berate an author or their work- even if I do not like a particular book I KNOW for a fact someone else would enjoy it.. unfortunately whenever I see this book or hear about it I’ll think about the negative experience I had. I’m excited to see how the general public rates this book, as almost all the ratings on goodreads are from this boosktagram group who are expected to give 4 or 5 star ratings.

Anyways, here is my review that was oh so terribly rude.

Get your 🍿 ready! The Vacancy in Room 10 was a drama filled, entertaining, popcorn thriller. This story is filled with several unreliable characters which made this a fun ride, not knowing who to fully trust. I enjoyed the storyline, and the setting was unique- a breath of fresh air as most thriller drama books are set in ritzy, typical domestic settings.

Although there wasn’t any major jaw dropping twists and I did find some aspects predictable I still thoroughly enjoyed this read. It was entertaining and kept my interest all throughout. I thought the ending was perfect and was happy with the outcome!

I would reccomend this to those who enjoy neighborhood dramas, light thrillers, and for fans of author Liane Moriarty!

After reading the author’s last two books, I knew she was a must-read! Both were 5-star reads and she hit it out of the park again. “The Vacancy In Room 10” is another suspenseful thriller. This doesn’t publish until March 2024 but you can pre-order it on Amazon now. Don’t miss it!

There were a couple of tough female characters, but Cass is my favorite. She is independent, resourceful and creative. I’d love to have her around my house as a handyma’am! Every woman should learn her skills.

The characters are penned in detail. Very complex and complicated. And some of the twists are absolutely mind-blowing. This is a well-rounded and tense thriller that will keep you glued to the pages.

Sincere thanks to the author, Thriller Book Lovers Promotions and Graydon House for providing this complimentary ARC through NetGalley. As always, all opinions are my own and left voluntarily.

This is why I read books, to be immersed into the lives of these characters and feel like I’m right there experiencing all of the harrowing events alongside. Seraphina is so gifted at being able to pull a reader in and keep them there until the end! I was beyond thrilled to be included in this exclusive tour for @seraphinas upcoming release The Vacancy in Room 10. We are all in a group on Insta and have all been dying over how good this book is!! It isn’t out until April 9th, but it needs to be added to your TBR now! Thank me later!

It starts off with a bang when Anna’s husband calls her and confesses he has killed someone, then is found dead from apparent suicide. She decides to move into his run down apartment he has been using as an art studio to get close to the residents. She needs answers to a lot of questions! Cass is the superintendent and runs the Sycamores, the apartment complex. After being cheated on by her well off boyfriend, she finds herself barely scraping by and blackmailing men to make extra cash. It works, until she tries it on the wrong guy. Cass is trying desperately to keep her secrets, especially with Anna at the complex snooping around.

I couldn't put this book down! I was so interested to see what happened with Cass and Anna’s stories, and with what happened to Henry. I loved all the people who lived at the motel (not Eddie). And the pool girls! I love how they supported Cass!! Can't wait to read more by this author and see how this book explodes in 2024!!

I made the mistake of starting The Vacancy in Room 10 on a Monday night and then the following few days were filled with such fierce resentment towards any and all responsibilities that kept getting in the way of my reading time. If you're a thriller fan, believe me when I say, you will not want to miss this one! The HYPE is so real and if I could I would give this book ALL THE STARS! I will be absolutely shocked if we don't end up with a film or TV adaptation of this one - I'm personally keeping fingers crossed for a mini series because I could not get enough of these characters and this setting!

At the heart of the story are a grieving widow trying to understand why her husband spend so much time at a run down apartment complex and a down on her luck but a resourceful superintendent of the said complex. Two fierce but lonely women dealing with the cards they'd been dealt. The rest of the characters were so compelling and memorable and The Sycamores complex felt so real to me, it still feels like a place I visited with all of my senses. Pool moms, Friday socials, moments of unexpected camaraderie and humour are just some of the elements that elevated this story into an unforgettable reading experience.

If you've never experienced a book whiplash, don't say I didn't warn you. If you want a read that will make it (nearly) impossible for you to put it down, this is it! If you want a read that you won't be able to stop recommending to everyone around you, this is it! And if you want a read whose last page will leave you both thrilled AND sad that it's the end, THIS IS MOST CERTAINLY IT!

I have no idea how I ended up so lucky to be a part of an exclusive early tour for this book but this reading experience brought me so much joy that saying thank you to Graydon House and Thriller Book Lovers Promotions seems like an understatement!

This is my second read by this author and she truly knocked it out of the park with this one! The hype for this one is REALLLLLL and I promise you won’t want to miss out. This one had me on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t read it fast enough! Both the twists and ending were perfect !

I absolutely loved the setting of this one. It was so unique and not like anything I’ve read before! This story takes place at a creepy and old roadside motel turned apartment complex with some VERY interesting and quirky characters.

I love a book that’s told in multiple POV’s. As a reader, you get the viewpoints of both Cass and Anna, two women who find themselves stuck at the motel due to two different traumatizing experiences in their personal lives. Through them, you meet the people who live at the motel. The character development was phenomenal. I truly loved all of the characters. Well…. Most of them! 😂

I’m also a sucker for the found family trope, and Seraphina NAILED it! While this was a thriller, it was also about coming together despite major differences, searching for belonging, and having one another’s backs no matter how broken someone may be. The loyalty that the women had in this book was… CHEF’S KISS! 🤌🏼

The Vacancy in Room 10 was complex, addictive and had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I found the story unique, the setting perfect, the writing on point and the cast of quirky characters were unforgettable. The mystery, the suspense, and the way the character’s stories connected was done so well 👏🏻. Loved it! The hype is real and this would make for such a good movie 😲. 4.5⭐️

@seraphinanovaglass for allowing me to be on this exclusive book tour.

Well, folks, I have a new auto-buy author on my list. I devoured this book and just couldn't put it down! I'm giving it all the stars because I can't think of a thing I didn't like. The characters were well developed and the whole setting and dialogues were as authentic as it gets.

I just love this author's writing style and the fact that she can hold my attention from the very first page. It’s the ‘just-one-more-chapter’ kind of book where you need to know what’s going on and before you know it, you’re racing through the pages. The pace just never relents.

Anna moves into a a run-down flat in the Sycamour motel turned into apartment complex, where her husband Henry was painting in the days leading up to his suicide. She wants to understand what led to his act, but especially why he mentioned killing someone in his last phone call to her.

She spends her days getting to know the tenants and Cass, a young woman who runs the place and acts as the ‘handyman’ around the units.

Cass has her own demons to fight, after being dumped by her rich boyfriend, she is now reduced to blackmailing married men who pick her up at the bar, in order to survive. But one night her little plan goes horribly wrong.

This has it all, adrenaline pumping scenes, sleazy characters, a cute little boy, a murderer, and a whole cast of batshit-crazy tenants you won’t easily forget.

Full of jaw dropping twists this is a book you can’t afford to miss!

•Multilayered story
•Multifaceted characters
•Addictive Page-turner
•Fast Paced
•Multiple POVs

The book is so twisted and unpredictable. So many shocking and unthinkable things happens in the plot. Anna is such an intriguing character. And Cass and Callum are such a mysterious characters. The book has mystery and suspense. Suspense stays till the end and the revelations are so shocking. The ending is jaw dropping. It has twists after twists. The characters are multifaceted and secretive. I was hooked from page one and couldn’t put it down. It has been narrated in multiple POVs and there are two main characters. Anna and Cass. Their backstories are so touching and what happens with them was horrifying. Anna’s husband’s confession, mysterious affair of Callum, and Eddie’s mystery, all of these kept me at the edge of my seat. The book is mind blowing. What Anna did for Cass and Rosa was so unexpected.

I'm coming at you today with a HUGE thriller that you won't want to miss in 2024. I found myself on the edge of my seat throughout this whole book. It was so fast paced with so many twists. I think at one point, I was pointing suspiciously to everyone in the apartment complex, thinking they were involved! If you like a book that keeps you guessing but is also extremely cleverly done, make sure you have this one on your list.

I was a Seraphina book virgin. I've two of her books living inside my Kindle, I haven’t read them. They've been there for so long, I feel like they might be living a life of their own by now, they may have book babies even maybe.
So, this was my first Seraphina read. And. Oh Em Gee Gee (Oh My Garden Gnome). I honestly now have no clue where does it set the bar for her other books now. This one is going to be hard to beat.
I think it’s already safe to assume that this is going to be THE hottest book of 2024. Then again, it might not be, somehow the really big hotcakes are shallow, simplistic, predictable, basic. I've been told that is what *most* readers love. And this book has none of those. Zero. Zip. Zilch. Nada.
Then again, who am I to know what those other *most* readers like and love, right? So, here I am, screaming from the rooftops about this one. You. Are. Going. To. Want. To. Read. This. One. The writing is good, the writing is absolutely superb. The characters are insanely good, and they are profound and deep. The storyline is… ok, this is the weirdest part here, the storyline is so relatable, and it’s so easy to imagine all of that happening to you too, yet it’s most definitely not something most people would ever experience. I guess that the superb writing is to be blamed here, it’s just written in such a way that it makes it relatable.
Also, the setting, the location, the Sycamores is… it feels like home. Even if you have never ever lived in a place like that. Even if thinking about living there gives you all sorts of jeepers – it feels like home. Again, I blame the skillful writing there.
The ending of the book is equally unique. I know you've read it all, or at least so you think. I used to think so too. I've read it all. But I hadn’t read this one.
It has been a few days now since I finished reading it. I used to think that people are weird when they say they wish they could read some book for the first time again. Oh, I was so wrong. THIS is the book I’d love to read again for the first time. And then again. And then a few more times.

Oh.Em.Geeeee! Y’all. This may be my fav read this year. I will have to go through that list at some point, but it’s def wayyy up there!! It had it all for me! The setting was perfection. 👌The characters all had my heart..I have never felt so connected to characters in a thriller like this ever. Multiple POVs, but so easy to follow. It had a glorious slow burning tingle the whole time. Putting this one down is tough(I have let many chores go undone, but worth it😆) All the loose ends thrillers leave were all tied up nicely in a fab bow! Wow. Just wow! 👏First book ever by Glass and I am running out for more! 🏃‍♀️

I had a friggin blast! 🥳🎉🤸‍♀️Save the date for April 9th(I will remind y’all again😉)!! This one is a must read!👌

Thanks to @seraphinanovaglass

"The Vacancy in Room 10" is another hit for Seraphina Nova Glass. This is a complex story sharing multiple points of view. This one will require your full attention to keep up as it makes your head spin from all of the plot twists. It's told in dual narratives from 2 main characters, Cass and Anna. The Sycamores is home to our cast of quirky characters who are down on their luck. Think "The Rosebud Motel," but with murder, mayhem, and lots of secrets! Allegiances and friendships seem to form as secrets unfold. Will they all work together or turn on each other? Can anyone be trusted?

I loved how the character's stories were woven together and the suspense unfolded throughout. This was a quick read for me that had me turning pages way past my bedtime. Make sure your calendar is clear when you start this one. It will leave you canceling plans to know how things end for the gang at The Sycamores. "The Vacancy in Room 10" is a must-read thriller in 2024! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book definitely could be made into a movie!

I particularly loved how each and every plot point of this book was wrapped up neatly. There weren’t any holes or left questions about the state of our characters. The plot was a bit much for me. I’m not one for overly dramatic plots and this is definitely one of those. I also felt that some of the exposition was redundant and unnecessary. I did not catch onto the plot twist and that was a nice surprise, typically I at least have a hunch. All in all, I did enjoy this read.

Thank you to Seraphina Nova Glads, Graydon House, and Thriller Book promotions for this eARC in exchange for my honest review.

Very intense, unputdownable thriller! A thriller with a deeply woven plot with unforgettable characters. Told in two characters points of view, the reader won't know exactly what happens until the last few pages. I really enjoyed this one and can see why it is getting all the hype (even before it's release date next year!!).
