I made the mistake of starting The Vacancy in Room 10 on a Monday night and then the following few days were filled with such fierce resentment towards any and all responsibilities that kept getting in the way of my reading time. If you're a thriller fan, believe me when I say, you will not want to miss this one! The HYPE is so real and if I could I would give this book ALL THE STARS! I will be absolutely shocked if we don't end up with a film or TV adaptation of this one - I'm personally keeping fingers crossed for a mini series because I could not get enough of these characters and this setting!

At the heart of the story are a grieving widow trying to understand why her husband spend so much time at a run down apartment complex and a down on her luck but a resourceful superintendent of the said complex. Two fierce but lonely women dealing with the cards they'd been dealt. The rest of the characters were so compelling and memorable and The Sycamores complex felt so real to me, it still feels like a place I visited with all of my senses. Pool moms, Friday socials, moments of unexpected camaraderie and humour are just some of the elements that elevated this story into an unforgettable reading experience.

If you've never experienced a book whiplash, don't say I didn't warn you. If you want a read that will make it (nearly) impossible for you to put it down, this is it! If you want a read that you won't be able to stop recommending to everyone around you, this is it! And if you want a read whose last page will leave you both thrilled AND sad that it's the end, THIS IS MOST CERTAINLY IT!

I have no idea how I ended up so lucky to be a part of an exclusive early tour for this book but this reading experience brought me so much joy that saying thank you to Graydon House and Thriller Book Lovers Promotions seems like an understatement!

This is my second read by this author and she truly knocked it out of the park with this one! The hype for this one is REALLLLLL and I promise you won’t want to miss out. This one had me on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t read it fast enough! Both the twists and ending were perfect !

I absolutely loved the setting of this one. It was so unique and not like anything I’ve read before! This story takes place at a creepy and old roadside motel turned apartment complex with some VERY interesting and quirky characters.

I love a book that’s told in multiple POV’s. As a reader, you get the viewpoints of both Cass and Anna, two women who find themselves stuck at the motel due to two different traumatizing experiences in their personal lives. Through them, you meet the people who live at the motel. The character development was phenomenal. I truly loved all of the characters. Well…. Most of them! 😂

I’m also a sucker for the found family trope, and Seraphina NAILED it! While this was a thriller, it was also about coming together despite major differences, searching for belonging, and having one another’s backs no matter how broken someone may be. The loyalty that the women had in this book was… CHEF’S KISS! 🤌🏼

The Vacancy in Room 10 was complex, addictive and had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I found the story unique, the setting perfect, the writing on point and the cast of quirky characters were unforgettable. The mystery, the suspense, and the way the character’s stories connected was done so well 👏🏻. Loved it! The hype is real and this would make for such a good movie 😲. 4.5⭐️

Well, folks, I have a new auto-buy author on my list. I devoured this book and just couldn't put it down! I'm giving it all the stars because I can't think of a thing I didn't like. The characters were well developed and the whole setting and dialogues were as authentic as it gets.

I just love this author's writing style and the fact that she can hold my attention from the very first page. It’s the ‘just-one-more-chapter’ kind of book where you need to know what’s going on and before you know it, you’re racing through the pages. The pace just never relents.

Anna moves into a a run-down flat in the Sycamour motel turned into apartment complex, where her husband Henry was painting in the days leading up to his suicide. She wants to understand what led to his act, but especially why he mentioned killing someone in his last phone call to her.

She spends her days getting to know the tenants and Cass, a young woman who runs the place and acts as the ‘handyman’ around the units.

Cass has her own demons to fight, after being dumped by her rich boyfriend, she is now reduced to blackmailing married men who pick her up at the bar, in order to survive. But one night her little plan goes horribly wrong.

This has it all, adrenaline pumping scenes, sleazy characters, a cute little boy, a murderer, and a whole cast of batshit-crazy tenants you won’t easily forget.

Full of jaw dropping twists this is a book you can’t afford to miss!

•Fast Paced
•Multiple POVs

The book is so twisted and unpredictable. So many shocking and unthinkable things happens in the plot. Anna is such an intriguing character. And Cass and Callum are such a mysterious characters. The book has mystery and suspense. Suspense stays till the end and the revelations are so shocking. The ending is jaw dropping. It has twists after twists. The characters are multifaceted and secretive. I was hooked from page one and couldn’t put it down. It has been narrated in multiple POVs and there are two main characters. Anna and Cass. Their backstories are so touching and what happens with them was horrifying. Anna’s husband’s confession, mysterious affair of Callum, and Eddie’s mystery, all of these kept me at the edge of my seat. The book is mind blowing. What Anna did for Cass and Rosa was so unexpected.

I'm coming at you today with a HUGE thriller that you won't want to miss in 2024. I found myself on the edge of my seat throughout this whole book. It was so fast paced with so many twists. I think at one point, I was pointing suspiciously to everyone in the apartment complex, thinking they were involved! If you like a book that keeps you guessing but is also extremely cleverly done, make sure you have this one on your list.

I was a Seraphina book virgin. I've two of her books living inside my Kindle, I haven’t read them. They've been there for so long, I feel like they might be living a life of their own by now, they may have book babies even maybe.
So, this was my first Seraphina read. And. Oh Em Gee Gee (Oh My Garden Gnome). I honestly now have no clue where does it set the bar for her other books now. This one is going to be hard to beat.
I think it’s already safe to assume that this is going to be THE hottest book of 2024. Then again, it might not be, somehow the really big hotcakes are shallow, simplistic, predictable, basic. I've been told that is what *most* readers love. And this book has none of those. Zero. Zip. Zilch. Nada.
Then again, who am I to know what those other *most* readers like and love, right? So, here I am, screaming from the rooftops about this one. You. Are. Going. To. Want. To. Read. This. One. The writing is good, the writing is absolutely superb. The characters are insanely good, and they are profound and deep. The storyline is… ok, this is the weirdest part here, the storyline is so relatable, and it’s so easy to imagine all of that happening to you too, yet it’s most definitely not something most people would ever experience. I guess that the superb writing is to be blamed here, it’s just written in such a way that it makes it relatable.
Also, the setting, the location, the Sycamores is… it feels like home. Even if you have never ever lived in a place like that. Even if thinking about living there gives you all sorts of jeepers – it feels like home. Again, I blame the skillful writing there.
The ending of the book is equally unique. I know you've read it all, or at least so you think. I used to think so too. I've read it all. But I hadn’t read this one.
It has been a few days now since I finished reading it. I used to think that people are weird when they say they wish they could read some book for the first time again. Oh, I was so wrong. THIS is the book I’d love to read again for the first time. And then again. And then a few more times.

Oh.Em.Geeeee! Y’all. This may be my fav read this year. I will have to go through that list at some point, but it’s def wayyy up there!! It had it all for me! The setting was perfection. 👌The characters all had my heart..I have never felt so connected to characters in a thriller like this ever. Multiple POVs, but so easy to follow. It had a glorious slow burning tingle the whole time. Putting this one down is tough(I have let many chores go undone, but worth it😆) All the loose ends thrillers leave were all tied up nicely in a fab bow! Wow. Just wow! 👏First book ever by Glass and I am running out for more! 🏃‍♀️

I had a friggin blast! 🥳🎉🤸‍♀️Save the date for April 9th(I will remind y’all again😉)!! This one is a must read!👌

Thanks to @seraphinanovaglass
and @graydonhousebooks and @thrillerbookloverspromotions for having me on this blast of a tour! 💟

"The Vacancy in Room 10" is another hit for Seraphina Nova Glass. This is a complex story sharing multiple points of view. This one will require your full attention to keep up as it makes your head spin from all of the plot twists. It's told in dual narratives from 2 main characters, Cass and Anna. The Sycamores is home to our cast of quirky characters who are down on their luck. Think "The Rosebud Motel," but with murder, mayhem, and lots of secrets! Allegiances and friendships seem to form as secrets unfold. Will they all work together or turn on each other? Can anyone be trusted?

I loved how the character's stories were woven together and the suspense unfolded throughout. This was a quick read for me that had me turning pages way past my bedtime. Make sure your calendar is clear when you start this one. It will leave you canceling plans to know how things end for the gang at The Sycamores. "The Vacancy in Room 10" is a must-read thriller in 2024! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book definitely could be made into a movie!

I particularly loved how each and every plot point of this book was wrapped up neatly. There weren’t any holes or left questions about the state of our characters. The plot was a bit much for me. I’m not one for overly dramatic plots and this is definitely one of those. I also felt that some of the exposition was redundant and unnecessary. I did not catch onto the plot twist and that was a nice surprise, typically I at least have a hunch. All in all, I did enjoy this read.

Thank you to Seraphina Nova Glads, Graydon House, and Thriller Book promotions for this eARC in exchange for my honest review.

Very intense, unputdownable thriller! A thriller with a deeply woven plot with unforgettable characters. Told in two characters points of view, the reader won't know exactly what happens until the last few pages. I really enjoyed this one and can see why it is getting all the hype (even before it's release date next year!!).

*Thank you @thrillerbookloverspromotions and @graydonhousebooks for the #gifted galley in exchange for an honest review.*

I am again grateful to get a really early look at this one. While it isn’t out until April 9, 2024, you can preorder it now. https://tinyurl.com/ms2zprxs

This is probably the highest praise I can give a thriller. I did not see that coming in any shape or form. 🤯

Cass and Anna are both down on their luck and for different reasons are living in a motel turned apartment complex. I am not sure I really connected to either of the Mcs but the ease of the authors writing style and the mysteries she created had me wanting more.

I had a short turnaround time for this one and that was OK because once I started it, I didn’t want to put it down.

If you love a good mystery/psychological thriller then this needs to be on your radar. Again all the things I conjured up as I read this one, none were even close to what happens.

This book was a lot of fun to read. Sure it was a slow burn, but everything seemed to so interesting that the pace didn't affect my feelings towards this story. I have never read a Glass book until now so while reading I listened to another one ( will review later) and it was also so good. And a good way to get to know an author you are interested in.
Bravo 👏 I enjoyed a slow burn.

Review in return for free advanced copy.

This is my third book by Seraphina Nova Glass and my third time absolutely loving what I read! She’s a master at weaving together people and plot lines that, at first, I can’t figure out how they relate to each other. Eventually it all comes together in the most satisfying way and this was no exception! I loved the cast of characters that eventually became family to Cass and even though you don't truly get to know the details about their lives and how they ended up at the sycamores, you get a true vibe that they're good people. The star for this was how the lives of Anna and Cass were connected, I loved it and didn't see it coming!

When Anna’s husband calls and confesses to killing someone, followed by his body washing up on the banks of the Rio Grande, it’s up to her to piece together what really happened. After moving into the run-down motel-room-turned-apartment he rented as an art studio, Anna spends her days getting closer to the neighbors and absorbing every bit of gossip about her husband and the buildings’ tenants. But the more she learns, the less sense things seem to make. And when threatening letters start appearing at her door, Anna has to decide what’s more important—the truth, or her own safety.

Cass has been running the Sycamores, an apartment complex that has seen better decades. Barely scraping by as a superintendent, Cass starts blackmailing sleazy men, threatening to expose them and ruin their lives. It’s easy, and it works, and nobody gets hurt—until she tries it on the wrong guy. With everything to lose and no one to trust, Cass has to fight to keep her secrets under wraps, especially with Anna snooping around asking questions…

I went into this one completely blind, and I’m so happy I did! I really enjoyed the story without fully knowing what was going to happen. When a ton of characters started being introduced to us, I could only wonder how and why they were connected to each other, and honestly, the story took turns and had twists that I really never expected to happen! I 100% recommend going into this one blind because it’s a crazy ride that is just so much better that way! I really enjoyed both Cass and Anna’s POVs and felt they both added a lot to the storyline. I also loved the fact that both women found their happily ever afters! Preorder your copy today!

What a wild ride, in the best possible way. I really was hooked from the beginning couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. I loved the alternating POV and the community the residents of The Sycamores established for themselves. I’ve got to say, @seraphinanovaglass knocked this one out of the park!

Holy cheese muffins! This story makes me speechless, it is unlike anything I've read before. Seraphina once again creates unique storylines with characters that are well developed and intriguing. I have something in common with one of the main characters but won't say what it is due to this being a very very early copy and do not want to ruin it for future readers. Thank you to Tonya Cornish, Seraphina Nova Glass, Graydon House and Thriller Book Lovers Promotions for the highest honor or reading and reviewing This delicious thriller many months in advance. Bravo, Bravo! Seraphina, you easily show me with your words why you continue to be one of my favorite authors of all time.

I've been a longtime Seraphina Nova Glass fan, but I was still blown away by all that is The Vacancy in Room 10. It;s a continuous, non-stop thrill ride where someone is the villain, but I bet you won’t guess who. I love this one, and, if I could give it more five stars, I would. Not only does the pacing make it one-sitting bingeable, but the characters are realistic, believable, and could likely be my next door neighbors. I loved the locked-room-ish setting of the Sycamore, the community of it (the pool girls were my absolute fav), and the anywhere USA vibe. It's perfect, from the very first to the very last sentence.

This book has it all! I couldn’t get enough of this storyline and didn’t want it to end! Not only is it a truly unique mystery thriller but also a family drama. Reading about the lives of the residents at the Sycamores, roadside motel turned apartment complex, it felt like a Melrose Place/Schitt’s Creek mashup! From the gossipy pool ladies to the sword collector to the abusive truck driver l, your mind will be in overdrive trying to find connections.

Cass was living a comfortable life with her long-term boyfriend while enjoying social events in her designer clothes until one day she was trapping mice at a run down apartment complex called the Sycamores. A handy “ma’am” by trade, she earned her keep by becoming the superintendent of the complex. She got to know the residents and was soon a member of the community and also learned to file away dirt on the residents for potential future use.

Anna is married to Henry, who rents a room for his art studio at The Sycamores. She received a call from him in tears apologizing for ruining everything and confesses to killing someone and then she hears a crash. Henry’s body is found and Anna is told that he took his own life. This doesn’t sit well with her so she moves into his apartment to talk with the neighbors and to go through his things.

A wild chain of events unfold and I didn’t know who to trust! Cryptic messages and gifts are sent to residents, tenants disappear and someone is watching everyone! There are many endearing moments as well which gave this book an unexpected “cozy” feel amongst all the tragic moments. I had so many OMG moments that gave me such satisfaction! I love surprises and this book definitely will be a forever favorite of mine!
