Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of this gardening book. The layout and organization of the book made navigation is intuitive which made reading enjoyable. The herb information is my favorite part since that’s what I struggle with the most. Whether you are a beginning gardener or a seasoned gardener, you will appreciate this organized and easy-to-navigate gardening book. This book has something for everyone.
A great beginner guide for growing vegetables. Simple tools, tips, and knowledge to help your first gardens succeed.
My husband wants to grow vegetables for the first time, and I think this will be a perfect resource for him. I'm getting it for him for our anniversary, which happens at a critical time for planting. Can't wait to eat all these fresh veggies from our own backyard!
A thorough book covering all the ins and outs of vegetable gardening. From tools, storage, & climate through to seeds, weeds and mulch. Great details with lots of helpful pictures. This book would be a great book for anybody wanting to start growing their own vegetables.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me an arc to review. All opinions are my own.
This is a book every gardener needs. It is so detailed and completely full of information. I love how it shows tools and equipment you will need. They tell you what are the companion vegetables. How to can and pickle. Great book!
A really nice thorough book covering all the ins and outs of vegetable gardening. From Tools, Storage, Climate....to Seeds, Weeds and Mulch. Great details with lots of pictures. Would be a great book for anybody wanting to try their hand at growing vegetables! Also great for the experienced gardener...it has canning recipes and info about all the different kinds and varieties of vegetables! Beautifully done.
Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity! This book was very comprehensive and including tips, soli testing, and tricks! It was a little like a text book but gardening is a science that I will continue to learn how to master!
Decent reverence guide for someone beginning to get started with a backyard veggie plot. It wasn't as comprehensive as I expected, but it's still a great place to beginning your research around what veggies could work in your local soil. I did appreciate that a good chunk of the beginning of it was on getting the garden prepped for planting. Useful guide with approachable instructions.

An incredibly insightful book in the a-z of home vegetable gardening. Takes into account the soil type, how to test soil, growing conditions, companion planting and more!
This is a book all home veggie growers should own.
My only complaint is the formating of the book I received made for a double page spread meaning it was extremely inconvenient to zoom in to read and then zoom out to change page and broke the flow of my reading.
I will be buying this book when it releases!
This book is great for beginners, it’s comprehensive. It covers everything you need to know as a new gardener from soil to pests, to specifics about vegetables. Really great book, I will be buying a physical cope when it comes out.
I loved how detailed this book was and as a teacher it would be really fun to have students read over the different vegetables and discuss what they’d like to include in our vegetable garden. They would also be able to research some information in this book and would help me ensure the best outcome possible!
Whether you have a proper garden, a balcony or simply a windowsill where you are planning to have your own herbs, this book is going to be your comprehensive guide from A to Z. We have just moved into a new home where I have a green patch to play with. This book is full of great ideas I will use when I start my gardening adventure next spring.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group for an Advance Review Copy.
I could not view this book! I tried opening it in a variety of ways, and at no point did the file function properly.
What a great, easy to read book.
I've always been a gardener.....but plants not vegetables so I got this book to get me started.
It really is very easy to read and provides knowledge on everything from the vegetables to the soil they need.
A very good book. Perfect for beginners.
A great read for the gardener inside you! This book is good for both seasoned gardeners and newbies, because it really covers so many angles. It is easy to read, it is well structured, and I love the pictures in the book. Highly recommended!
A wonderful basic book on gardening that even though I am a few years in, I enjoyed getting back to the basics and seeing if there was anything that I was missing or could do differently.
I think the part that I will refer to in the future is the companion planting, I am always looking to plant to plant things that will work well together and even compliment or help each other! I loved friend and foe, what to plant together and what to not!
The other section I enjoyed that they included was what to do after you have grown all the things! Pickling, canning, air drying - this is something that I am still learning and still definitely a novice.
