I don't often talk about my Borderline Personality Diagnosis. The societal shame around having it, and how individuals are seen as too manipulative to function in society makes it difficult. I appreciate what Bray is trying to do here, and the DBT simple exercises are easy to follow along with. I hope Bray's workbook can help more people.

While I do not have a BPD diagnosis, utilizing the strategies of DBT are helpful for many other mental disorders. This workbook creates solid groundwork on the mechanisms and benefits of DBT strategies. My past attempts of practicing mindfulness were not consistent. Now I know it is because I did not understand the mechanism behind how to properly practice it. Instead, I downloaded a reminder app but could never truly reach the proper level of mindfulness. This workbook educates on correctly practicing mindfulness, dealing with distress, difficult emotions, interpersonal effectiveness and strategies to MAINTAIN your progress. Highly recommend Suzette Bray’s workbook.
As someone who has BPD and beginning a therapy journey, this is an immensely helpful workbook. This is written kindly and respectfully, which doesn't always happen with the BPD topic. I'm happy to incorporate the tools in this workbook to real life!

Absolutely brilliantly done book. It provides effective, scientific help while still maintaining a gentle understanding. Too many books about borderline are full of empty fluff and of no help. This one is powerful in it's approach and delivery. I am so grateful to have this resource.
