Desperate to save her business, she proposes a marriage of convenience to chef Myles Paris, aiming to solve their financial woes. Both characters are likable and altruistic, seeking the money not for personal gain but to support their struggling businesses. In this eagerly anticipated book, Mae and Sebastian, hailing from different worlds and caught in a family feud, discover an undeniable spark. As Mae navigates her new life in New York, Sebastian proposes she spend a week learning the business, unaware he might lose his heart to her. Amidst a backdrop of a longstanding family feud, the story unfolds with emotional depth, sensuality, and resilience. This moving tale of love and overcoming obstacles is a must-read for romance enthusiasts, leaving readers cheering for Mae and Sebastian's happiness.
I really enjoyed the Miami Marriage Pact. The sexual tension was off the chain. Nadine Gonzales never disappoints! My first read from Rachel Bailey but definitley not my last. A page turner!
I really enjoyed the Miami Marriage Pact. The main characters had immediate tension and good hearts.
Thanks Net Galley for the temporary ARC to review.
Miami Marriage Pact
Gigi needs to get married to get her inheritance and save her business. Myles wants to buy the Miami restaurant he works at, but the owner wants to sell to a developer and his rejected his offers. So a plan is set into motion between Gigi of a marriage of convenience. At first Myles feels used and does not like the idea at all, but as he gets to know Gigi he starts falling for her and can’t deny his attraction to her. Gigi find someone that understands her and doesn’t want to use her.
I liked the story and how it played out. I loved their connection and the love and understanding between them. I didn’t like the third act.
Overnight Inheritance
Mae find out she had a billionaire father she had never met and a business partner that wants her to sign over her shares. Sebastian doesn’t want a business partner, he just wants Mae to sign over her shares. The single dad can’t deny his attraction to Mae since the moment he met her, but he has to focus on the business and his child not the attractive woman.
This one was cute too, the story played out quickly. The third act was meh, to be honest.
I got an e-arc of this book on NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Inheritiance.
I liked this two book bundle that focused on women inheriting a ton of money. Of course, since they are women, they must marry in a hurry to actually obtain the money. The strings are there because they have to marry a man. At least, they have steamy times as an added benefit.
Lots of drama crammed into these fast paced reads.
Recommend.
“Miami Marriage Pact” by Nadine Gonzalez
Film producer Gigi must marry quickly to access her inheritance and save her company. Up-and-coming Miami chef Myles needs cash to purchase the restaurant where he works. While they’re working together to confront professional foes and vengeful enemies, will their convenient union spark an unexpected passion?
This rom com is fun to read with likeable and relatable characters. I like that the characters didn’t jump into marriage but became friends first.
“Overnight Inheritance” by Rachel Bailey
When Mae inherits billions and a tempting business rival in single dad CEO Sebastian, a boardroom clash ignites a passionate affair. With divided loyalties, Mae must decide if she’ll risk more than profits for a future with Sebastian.
Mae is smart and determined, unwilling to simply give in to Sebastian’s persuasion. While he appreciates her from the beginning, it takes time for him to see the value she brings to the business. This is an emotional romance with a strong sense of family.
Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

As a lifelong lover of Harlequin Romance novels I'm always excited when I have an opportunity to read an ARC for anything they put out. In this instance I received an Advanced reader copy for one of there thematically tied duets. As such this will be a review on two independent takes on the power of the inheritance trope.
THE MIAMI MARRIAGE PACT by Nadine Gonzalez
This novel introduces Gigi and Myles, two individuals in desperate need of a major finical windfall.. Gigi is coping with the death of her superstar father when she receives a terrifying blow. The inheritance she was depending upon isn't going to be hers for five years unless she gets married right away. Unfortunately for her she's super single but unwilling to wait for theses funds. Just when she was ready to give up her best friend Sando introduces her to his other best friend, Myles. Myles is a chef whose dream is about to be sold out from under him for the sake of development. Sando plays match maker for the two individuals in need, encouraging them to enter a marriage of convivence. Just like any other marriage the two swiftly develop feelings for each other and their marriage of convivence quickly becomes complicated when feelings become involved.
Sando, Gigi and Myles are characters that I quickly fell in love with. The way they all just wanted the best for each other put a smile on my face. Its very easy for marriage of convivence novels to be one note, a stereotype that Ms. Gonzalez was able to avoid by having the characters accept and acknowledge their feelings for each other quickly rather than try to hide it from each other.
OVERNIGHT INHERITANCE by Rachel Bailey
With Overnight Inheritance Ms. Bailey introduced a reluctant heiress in Mae who is just trying to figure out this new world she has been dragged. Unfortunately for her, the single father next door Sebastian is her new business rival/ partner. The duo have inherited a feud as well as a flourishing real-estate development firm. As the two get to know each other the more they realize they are ready to end the feud and give love a try. Unfortunately communication struggles and interfering family members are getting in the way.
This was a cute quick novel that hit just the right notes of happy fluffy cuteness. Sebastian and Mae are two very relatable characters just trying to find a new normal that so many of us can relate to. In addition the novel gave an interesting twist of the reluctant inheritance trope. Mae wants to do the right thing with her newly discovered riches which leads to her complicated relationship with Sebastian.
Both of these novels were extremally quick reads that any lover of Harlequin would enjoy
Miami Marriage Pact & Overnight Inheritance by Nadine Gonzalez and Rachel Bailey is an enthralling romance novel that introduces readers to a cast of fascinating characters and delivers a sizzling love story that will undoubtedly leave them yearning for more.
