I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I want a sequel. It reminds me of the series of unfortunate events. There's differences that make it more modern which I like. It's a great brother and sister duo. They're so smart and wise beyond their years but then you're reminded that they really are just kids. Great quirky read.

Reminiscent of Hansel and Gretel. I can't decide whether the resemblance is intentional. I also can't decide if this is meant to be taken seriously or if it is tongue in cheek. The details are peculiar at best. Not one for the average kid though I expect there is a small population that will find it delightful.

It contains villains you will love to hate and the main protagonists have depth to them as well. This will be popular with those that enjoy books where smart kids conquer their fears and villans.
