Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this.
I found the premises of this book to be very interesting, thinking it'd be more of a teen angst story. However, what I did not expect was a fantasy touch to it. While interesting, this was something I did not enjoy overall.
I will still encourage people to read this book, as everyone has their own preferences. But this just wasn't my cup of tea.
Note that this is book one of a trilogy series. So those who enjoy this book, look out for book two and three.
The first book in a new sci-fi series that is an original. I have not read anything close to a plot such as this but Sandy Robson pulled me into the story and quickly made a fan. Celest has no idea who she is or where she came from, until she turns 18 and must leave everything she's ever known behind.
After the first few pages, I knew this was a book I wasn’t going to be able to put down, until I got to The End. If you like absolutely unpredictable, twisted suspense as much as I do, you can't go wrong with this book!

This is the endlessly popular "exceptional teenager" story that I never much liked. It's written competently. It follows all the beats of the formula.
If you like this kind of thing, it's liable to please you. I don't; it didn't.
Fast paced story that was different than other books I've read. Good plot twists and nice romance. Thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to read this book
