Chantel Cleeton is one of my favorite authors- I love love love her books! I hadn’t read the International School Series yet and wow, I was missing out! I love her writing style, her characters, and plots. I See London starts off the series wonderfully!
This is the story of Maggie who travels for Uni in London from South Carolina. At first she’s a bit of a fish out of water, but she finds her way and herself throughout the book. Cleeton does a great job diving into the insecurities and emotions of a young adult - boys, sex, friendships, etc…
I adored this book and am starting the next in the series now! Can’t wait for more!

I'm a big fan of anything and everything by Chanel Cleeton, so it wasn't a surprise that I loved I See London!! It was engaging and so fun to read a book set in London. I also really liked Maggie and her character arc throughout the book. My second favorite form of travel is through reading, so if you're looking for a quick getaway, be sure to pick this one up!

The wide-eyed girl starring into Harrods' window isn't the same that arrived at the beginning of semester. When Maggie's dreams of attending Princeton are dashed, she accepts the International School's scholarship and wings her way to London.

Learning to be brave, Maggie's confidence is boosted by friends and those whom challenge her inhibitions. Will Maggie shed her good girl image or retreat to find refuge in books?

Thank you to #NetGalley and the publisher for the early edition of #ISeeLondon in exchange for an honest review. While it's a different type of read than Chanel Cleeton's spicy Cuban series, as a former London expat, I enjoyed armchair traveling back to my time abroad.

I'm rating this '3.5 stars' as while I enjoyed the story, the protagonists are in their later teens / early twenties and I found it difficult to relate to their problems. Their outlandishness and at times intimacy felt off putting due to their age. That being said, the freedom that Maggie experiences can be applied to any new beginning. Age is just a number so focus on the playful storyline and get ready to be 'schooled.'

Maggie, an American, moves to London to attend The International School for college. She becomes friends with a group of people, including the elusive Fleur and sexy Samir. Samir & Maggie have an instant attraction but they both deny it. Maggie starts seeing older club owner Hugh & contemplates losing her virginity to him.

Overall, I didn’t think the writing in this book was that great. Sometimes the same descriptions were used within a page, or things would contradict themselves. Has like no sparks with Hugh, so he’s kind of a worthless character. It’s obvious that her and Samir need to get together, but things conspire to keep them apart. I don’t know if I’ll read the second book.

Thanks to NetGalley & Canary Street Press for a digital copy of this book.

I’ve never read a Chanel Cleeton book I didn’t absolutely love. This one is no different. I loved the setting, the characters, all the emotions and growing up this book included. The personalities were so great. I can not wait to finish this series.

I enjoyed this story and would read more from the author. I didn’t like the love triangle. I felt like some of the characters were better developed than others. It was an entertaining quick read.

The first chapter easily got me hooked on the story, as I desperately wanted to know who the mystery guy was and kept guessing throughout the rest of the book.

I will say, there were time throughout the book that I did think Maggie was a just a bit too naive and in denial, especially when certain characters would be up front with their intentions and plans for the future and she would continue to act as if she didn’t know. While most of the time, the characters stayed true to their personalities, there were times when they felt a bit wishy washy or like their actions didn’t align with who they were or what they would normally choose to do.

Otherwise, I thought this was a good book and immediately went looking for the second book (which isn't out yet, despite the teaser at the end of this book :P). I loved Samir and Maggie’s interactions, and hated Hugh.

***This review contains spoilers***

The characters in this books are well developed and there is a lot of change in Maggie, who is in London for college after having grown up in a sheltered family in a small town in the South. In London, she meets two men, very different from each other, that make her feel she is ready to experience romance and everything that she has always wanted.
The story is fast-paced and engaging, but the love-triangle part of it, and Maggie being with Samir knowing he was with someone else, was a huge letdown for me.
It was a 2-stars read for me.

Thank you to Netgalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing for my ARC.

I was provided an ARC of this book in exchange for a review.

Maggie has been accepted to the International School in London, marking her departure from her home in the US and her life with her grandparents. This is her first time venturing out on her own. I began reading this book with little prior knowledge about it and found that it fits comfortably in the New Adult genre. It's a quick and enjoyable read.

Having read other books by Chanel, I was eager to delve into this one. Initially, I didn't realize it was part of a series, which piqued my interest to read the subsequent book. If you're a fan of romcoms or coming-of-age stories, you'll likely enjoy this book. It's a sweet read, perfect for a vacation. I would rate it 3.5 out of 5.

I'm a big fan of Cleeton's more recent books, so it was fun to go back to where her publishing journey started with the re-release of I See London. I See London was different from what I've read from Cleeton so far. The writing was still great, but I could see how much it has blossomed over the years. This was a new adult romance set at university on London. Originally released in 2013, this book had all of the qualities NA romances of that time. Maggie, having been rejected by Harvard, excepts a scholarship to study in London. While there, she learns a lot about herself and makes some frustrating decisions - the way teenagers do. She meets new friends, starts a relationship, and longs for another guy's attention. There's a bit of a love triangle that isn't shocking in how it turns out and some fun drama. I wasn't quite sure what to think of the cliffhanger ending. I didn't love it, but it did make me interested in what might come next. Overall, it was a good read. Not quite what I would expect from Cleeton these days, but a good look back at where she began.

Thank you so much for an advanced copy of I See London by Chanel Cleeton. I love Chanel Cleeton's writing, and I was so excited to read one of her early works!

I See London is a new-adult romance set in (shocker! :) ) London. It follows an American college student after a major setback in her academic career, and she finds herself a student at the International School. There were a lot of elements I really enjoyed in the story. Themes of found family, slight enemies-to-lovers, slight friends-to-lovers, and finding oneself were present at various points throughout. I enjoyed the journey the FMC went on as she discovered herself and let her inhibitions go! I also really liked the dynamic of the friend group and how they always had each other's backs, even when things got dicey. This book also managed to be both spicy and a slow-burn, and let me tell you, Chanel Cleeton is holding back in her newer books because she can write some spice!

I did find some parts of the story hard to belief, and I couldn't help but think at various points "well, that never happened to ME in college!" ha! I think that is just the difference in an almost-37 year old reading an NA romance compared to a younger person, though.

Overall, I really liked this book, and I think it is a solid three star romance for me. For a younger person, it would probably rate higher, TBH! I"m looking forward to continuing the series!

saw that this was written by Chanel Cleeton and immediately requested a copy, not knowing that this was the reissue of a book that she had written before she started writing historical romance. It may be for others but it was not for me. It was pure romance with no historical element and it had a high school feel to it even though the protagonist was in graduate school. I am 62 and so that doesn't appeal to me although it may to others who are younger or who are into true romance novels.
It did not really have much of a plot to me except for the protagonist being attracted to someone who may not have been the best guy around (a really handsome man who was much desired by other women).
I would give it a 2.5 (in all honesty, I did not finish but read most of it) and not less because I do think there are others who would like it. It just was not for me.

A fun coming-of-age story, complete with a well-rendered love triangle and a heroine learning to trust herself for the first time <3

I See London is a fast, fun, romantic story set in an exciting London college setting. The story moves quickly involving several different situations for the international students. A great read for those who enjoy happy endings and young romance.

Thanks to NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing for the opportunity to read this ARC.

I See London is a spicy, fun read that is part of a series of 3 novels by Chanel Cleeton. If you are a Lucy Score fan, you will enjoy this one. The only problem for me is that I now must wait for the other two books that follow!
Thanks, NetGalley and the publisher, for providing me with the ARC ebook I read and reviewed. All opinions are my own.

Maggie Carpenter is from a small town in the south and was raised by her grandparents. Her mother left when she was a child and her father was usually away in the military with occasional phone calls or visits. The book begins as she flies to London to begin college at International School. She is on scholarship and now she is attending school and rooming with kids who have had a very privileged upbringing. On day one she meets Samir Khouri who is French and Lebanese. He is too cocky and sure of himself but he proves to be someone she can turn to when she needs help. She also meets Hugh, a British club owner. He is in his late twenties and thinks she is an older graduate student.

I know Chanel Cleeton from her books about the Cuban Perez Family. This book was first published in 2013 and I received a digital copy from Harlequin Trade Publishing, Canary Street Press via NetGalley. It is the first in a three book series. Maggie is frustrating as a lead. She gets caught up in the clubbing and nights out scene. Her lying about her age to Hugh is also a red flag for me. And it took half the book for me to begin to warm up to Samir and understand her attraction to him. Figuring out her feelings about the two men is the focus of the story. My daughter did a semester abroad in London and these were not the kind of adventures I would have wanted for her. I did feel empathy for the lack of parental interest and how it impacts her. While I don’t think I’m the intended demographic for this book it is well written and covers Maggie’s first year in college. (3.5 Stars)

Two lovers compete for the affection and attention of an American teen.

Maggie Carpenter arrives in London to attend the International School which consist of students from all around the world. Maggie is assigned to be roommates with a girl known as the ice queen due to her unwelcoming nature. Samir is an arrogant student whose charms have little affect on Maggie. As the semester goes on, Maggie becomes friends with her roommate Fleur. Simir and Maggie develop a love-hate relationship which intensifies as another guy vies for her attention. Maggie soon learns she must decide between her suitors.

Chanel Cleeton develops complicated characters in Maggie. Maggie often questions her relationship with both love interest. Readers of realistic fiction will enjoy Chanel's take on Maggie desiring one love interest over the other. As. the story progresses, Maggie discovers who she truly is.
I recommend this book for fans of realistic fiction and the drama it entails with a girl having to choose between two lovers.
