I love this sampler! This is a great way to take a peek at a variety of upcoming releases and get a sense of whether I’d like to read them- not to mention exposure to books I might have otherwise missed out on.

Pros: These samplers are one of my favorite aspects of NetGalley. I know I will never be able to read all of the books there are to read, so this allows me to narrow down what I might want to request and read. St. Martin's Press is one of the most dependable publishers for me, so I enjoyed this selection of book samples.

I never tire of getting advance peeks at books to be published. This sampler is one of the best out there, especially for mystery readers. Learn more about five upcoming titles that run the gamut from a cozy featuring pregnant women to a story that includes a plot to blow up the Statue of Liberty.

Each entry includes a description of the book, information about the author and a generous excerpt. I definitely want to read Off the Air and The Expectant Detectives. I love the first line of that one: “For my boyfriend’s thirtieth birthday I thought I’d go all out and surprise him with a pregnancy.”

Note: This is a free title. I highly recommend it.

I always love the Minotaur Sampler. It really helps to be more informed requesting books from Netgalley. I am particularly interested in the Expectant Detectives and Off the Air. I'm in my cozy mystery era!

I love these samplers! They always put interesting books on my radar (in this case, 4 of the 5 books look like ones I would love!). I appreciate so much being able to review the writing style before requesting a book, because it usually only takes a few pages for me to know if it will click with my taste. I also enjoy reading about the authors. I have previously found some fantastic books due to samplers piquing my interest so my hope is that this becomes more common.
