I appreciated Soledad’s journey of self love as she hustled to provide stability for herself and the girls after their lives were turned upside down. She was such a strong character. The romance was top notch and the Boricua High Counsel (Soledad’s BFFs) were my favorite! I will say though, the drama at the beginning relating to Soledad’s garbage ex had me breaking out the popcorn!

Kennedy Ryan has done it again! The story of Soledad's journey from healing to wholeness was so beautiful. I love the female empowerment and self love themes in this book. I appreciate the way Kennedy showcased friendships and having you "tribe". I really enjoyed reading this book and it helped me with some of my own self reflection. Such a beautiful book and totally worth the read! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ All the way for me!!

Kennedy Ryan knows how to write a book! 👏🏻

- divorced mom
- finding love again
- autistic rep
- found family

I absolutely loved Book 1 of the Skyland series (Before I Let Go) so it’s no surprise that this was another hit for me.

This story follows Soledad, who we meet in Before I Let Go. She is a super mom to 3 beautiful daughters. The life she built with her husband is blown to pieces when he betrays her. Now, she’s trying to pick up the pieces and find herself again. This book is about her journey of loving herself again and being a role model for her girls. She never thought she’d find love after her husband’s betrayal, but she finds it in the most unlikely place.

I loved both Soledad and Judah and their slow progression to a trusting, passionate and loving relationship. Judah is such a kind and honest man. He’s also a wonderful father.

I think Kennedy Ryan does an amazing job of tackling tough subjects with care. It’s clear she does her research and always provides accurate representation.

I can’t wait for the next installment!

📖Soledad works hard to provide a thriving home for her family. When her husband betrays her and her world falls apart, it’s up to her to pick up the pieces of her family and put them back together. As she works hard to put her life back together, an unlikely man comes into her life and she finds him hard to resist.

💭 I love this series so much. The writing really drew me in and I love these characters and their friendships. I love that these women are so strong and they’re real and when things get hard, they’re always there to help each other and raise each other up. It’s so heartwarming to read! This one was a bit of a slow burn, but I liked seeing Soledad’s journey. This book focused more on her and her self growth than on the romance though, which I liked, but I would have liked more of the actual romance in the aftermath of her self-discovery journey. I can’t wait for book three!

Kennedy Ryan created an incredible story in the second installment of the Skyland series. I loved the story of Soledad and Judah and their families. Thank you so much for writing about kids on the spectrum and how the parents are the real MPV'S of this story. I feel Soledad's story is like so many other women that feel like they are not important and have to deal with husband's that don't see their real value, and when they are finally free from them they realize how AMAZING, WONDERFUL and BEAUTIFUL they truly are.

Thank you Netgalley and Forever for the ARC in exchange of my honest review.

This book is all about Soledad!! She’s on a journey of self-discovery after things in her marriage take a twist. She’s figuring out how to love herself, her new life, and how to be the best mom, sister, and friend.

TCBU ended up feeling a bit more women’s fiction than true romance. The romance, while great, felt like it took a back seat to some of the other topics. I loved Judah as the mmc. He was so caring, sweet, and compassionate towards Soledad. I wanted more of him and his precious kids!

While this wasn’t my favorite book, I firmly believe Kennedy Ryan is an excellent writer and I’ll continue to read her books!

Thank you to @netgalley and @readforeverpub the advanced copy!

In my eyes, Kennedy Ryan can do no wrong! I've been looking forward to Soledad's story since Before I Let Go, and Kennedy did an absolutely amazing job with her story.

Kennedy Ryan's writing has a way of pulling sooo much raw emotion out of you when reading her work, and it is truly beautiful. There are not many authors who are capable of pulling genuine emotion out of me while reading, so I definitely want to give kudos to her for that.

Kennedy's FMC's are always so strong and powerful and Soledad was no exception! I personally have struggled with learning how to love myself and I was constantly putting the happiness of others before my own, and reading Soledad's story was so inspiring and it really touched a special place in my heart.

If I had to critique anything, I wish there was little more romance. That would have been the icing on the cake for me!

Overall, this was a very inspiring, emotional, amazing read, and Kennedy Ryan will always be an auto buy/read author for me! We need more books like these!

I absolutely adored Before I Let Go so I was super pumped to read this next book by Kennedy Ryan. Some book friends and I read this together as part of our long-distance book club, and even used the book club kit in the back of the book. While the beginning was fun getting to know Soledad and her life, the book as a whole was a huge let down.

I really felt like the author took zero risks with this story. The “villain” character had such an outlandish and unbelievable story and the “romantic interest” was completely underdeveloped. This book was entirely formulaic… akin to a Hallmark Christmas movie—no risks, boring plot, and eye-rolling dialogue. I rushed through the book just dying for it to be over. Like, did ChatGPT write this book????

Kennedy Ryan continues to impress with her latest release! The second book in this series had me hooked from start to finish. Soledad is a complex and compelling character who faces numerous challenges throughout the story. I was captivated by her journey and found myself rooting for her every step of the way. Judah is the ideal partner for Soledad, and their relationship is beautifully portrayed.

The supporting characters, particularly Soledad's friends and children, added depth and richness to the story. I enjoyed getting to know them and seeing how they influenced Soledad's life.
Themes in this story are about self love, second chance to love, friendships, parenting autistic children in an exemplary way.
Overall, another exceptional novel from Kennedy Ryan.
Thanks to the publisher, and NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Another beautiful story by Kennedy Ryan. I have so much love for Soledad and really connected with her as character. She went through so much. And I freaking loved Judah and his story and their romance. The romance wasn’t even the main focus but instead it was Soledad loving herself and growing and realizing how capable she truly is. And the writing in this really paints such a vivid image that reaches my soul so deeply. So many stars, I loved the book so much!

This book grabbed me by the feet, It was amazing! Soledad and Judah come together by a tragedy in the best way possible. She’s the definition of girl boss, and he’s so attentive to her needs and wants, Showing so much love. Sol’s journey to self-healing and loving herself was something I deeply connected with, I simply could not put this book down. they both had so much chemistry and mixed in with a sprinkle of forbidden love is the perfect recipe for their love story!

This book was a 5 star read for me. I was able to get this as an arc through NetGalley. It was such a moving and powerful story, I absolutely loved this book, I haven’t yet read her first first one, before I let go, but now I definitely will be reading that one.
This follows Soledad who is a stay at home mom to 3 girls and she’s been married to her no good husband, Edward for 20 years. Something happens and Soledad is left as the only provider for her girls. This book takes you on a journey. This was such a tear jerker. I can’t recommend this enough. It was sooooo good!

Ryan does it again, no surprise there! Soledad was everything I could have hoped for in a character. The overarching message of this book is absolute perfection and I’d scream it from the mountain tops!

Kennedy Ryan comes again with another great book in the Skyland series! This time we get to view the story from Soledad’s point of view. After Soledad experiences pain and anguish in her marriage, we see her strength displayed as she does everything she can to support her family. But Soledad soon learns even after everything she’s experienced, including all the heartbreak, that she could have a chance at love after all.

Ryan has again written a beautiful story that fuses the complexities of marriage, relationships, love, family, and friendship. The details make the story rich and worthy of savoring. I love reading stories written by Ryan, and throughly loved this one as well.
