I loved the main characters in this book, the autism representation, and the recipes😍 I think Sol’s “viral vinaigrette” was mentioned way too many times and the twist with her husband keeping another secret later on felt a bit over the top. I liked all the scenes with Sol, Yas, and Hendrix together. I haven’t read Before I Let Go but this was a fantastic introduction to Kennedy Ryan! My ARC was provided by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

As always, Kennedy Ryan does a great job of taking you through a myriad of emotions in her books. I chuckled, I grieved, I became enraged, and I loved. I also loved that this was not just a romance between two people, but also Soledad's romance with herself which as women, especially Black women is not spoken of enough.

Kennedy Ryan did it again! Before I Let Go and This Could Be Us are romance novels whose main characters are married with children. They are mature couples that resonate with me. This Could be Us is an inspirational book of perseverance, self-love, and women empowerment. I love living in the Skyland World!

I read this book the week of Thanksgiving, and instead of being downstairs with my family, I was in my room reading This Could Be Us. It's a page turner, I couldn't put it down.

I Love the Kennedy Ryan takes time to research subject matter such as autism, coparenting, mental health, counseling, and divorce to name a few topics that she explores. Her books are about more romantic, but much more. The build up of two people discovering one another is well paced. The love stories are beautifully written.

I enjoy Kennedy Ryan's extensive vocabulary, and her love and use of language.

I throughly enjoyed the book and I highly recommend This Could Be Us by Kennedy Ryan and all of her books. She is one of my favorite romance authors! Definitely a 5 star read!

This extremely well-written, engrossing, empowering story was a wonderful follow up to Ryan's previous book 'Before I Let Go'. Readers will immediately connect with the main character, Soledad, and enjoy a front row seat for her journey of defining herself on her own terms - as a partner, a mother, an entrepreneur and a friend. I can't wait for the next installment from Ryan!

My first Kennedy Ryan and it's a full 5 stars. Ryan excels in creating heartfelt, complex narratives around an unconventional but much needed romance protagonist and it is so well written.

What shines through the pages is the empathy. This is a book written with so much heart. Soledad is a wonderful character to follow and her struggles feel so real and tangible. Raising her 3 daughters in the wake of her husband's betrayal, hustling to ends meet, she is a force to be reckoned with and its very hard to not fall for her.

And that's exactly what happens to Judah, our MMC. He falls for her hard and fast. Judah is not a NPC love interest; he is his own person with his own life. He is a kind dad who raises his autistic sons with much care and love.

Such a great book. The only issue I had was how uncritically it presents influencer culture. Otherwise l, perfect romance. Pick it up if you love Penny Reid, Chloe Liese or Emily Henry

I love Kennedy Ryan and I loved this book. I loved Soledad and how the book focused both on her putting herself back together and finding love. But that she was always putting herself and her family first. I also love her friend group and was happy to see the characters from Before I Let go continue to show up.

I am someone who always has a book or books on rotation and few have that staying power. This one though reaches right in and touches your soul. It was an incredible journey that I can't wait to go on again. The characters are so real and raw. I wish I could follow Soledad on social media. The portrayal of Autism is so authentic it hits close to home. I will definitely be ordering my own copy/copies.

Kennedy Ryan never misses! Her writing is so beautiful and intentional, she takes her time and you can always tell!

The perfect ending to a phenomenal story. There are so many things that I enjoyed about this book! I am happy that Soledad got the love that she deserved in the end. There were moments when Edward’s behavior had me punching the air thinking that so much is wrong with his mindset. Once the plot thickens and we find out he was having an affair the entire time, it becomes evident why he treated Soledad so poorly. Having a child with his mistress only cements his status as a pathetic excuse for a man. It infuriated me how he embezzled money from the company, putting his family in a position to struggle once he got caught. Then to end it all, he ran to another country upon his release like the coward he is. While it was hard to witness a woman being betrayed like Soledad was in her marriage, it set the stage for Judah to come into the picture.

As an autism mom (which Kennedy Ryan is as well), I appreciated the delicate way in which she wrote about Adam and Aaron. Tremaine and Judah’s style of co-parenting is a goal that many divorced parents would like to achieve. I love the way she brings awareness and education to the reader about the inevitable challenges autism presents.

The way Judah protected Soledad throughout the investigation and helped her and the girls financially sealed the deal for me. In that moment, I wanted them to become a couple but I knew that the timing wasn’t quite right. With everything Soledad went through with Edward, I completely understand why she initially kept Judah at a safe distance. The self-love journey that Soledad went on is a road that every woman should travel on. Seeing Soledad reach her “happily ever after” was the chef’s kiss that made me give this book 5 stars. I’m so excited that Hendrix’s story is next. The covers of these books are so beautiful that I can’t wait to see the cover reveal. While I wait, I’ll be reading Bell Hooks’ book “All About Love” because I already purchased it long ago but seeing in this book is further confirmation that I should definitely read it.

Bottom line, Kennedy Ryan is a genius and one of the best writers I have seen in a long time.

This book did not disappoint. Kennedy’s writing is so beautiful. She writes about the care that she took when she decided to write characters with autism but the care doesn’t stop there. The way that she develops all of her characters just adds so much to the story. I enjoyed this book so much.

Babyyyyyy!!! This book was everything!! I couldn’t wait to learn more about Soledad. She intrigued me from the very beginning. Her well put together persona and bubbly spirit had a story to tell and sheesh did Ms. Ryan deliver!!

I highly recommend this book for your book club read!! This book is definitely for the girls. The girls who would do anything for their kids. The girls who love hard. The girls starting over. The girls finding themselves again. This book exudes sisterhood, self-love, 2nd chance love, culture & tradition and more. It is definitely worth the wait and I can’t wait to grab copies for my besties!

Kennedy Ryan continues her journey into Soldad's story. This slow burn with romance found in the most unsuspecting places is a must read. Soldad is at a very vulnerable place through much of this story and Ryan justly writes a story to give her space and the tools to heal. I especially liked that Soldad was given the power to make choices in this story and control her own destiny. This story will keep you interested and rooting for Soledad to find her happily ever after.

Kennedy Ryan killing it as usual 💅🏼

This story follows Soledad, whose life has recently been turned upside down by her convict husband, and Josiah, a divorced father of twins. Even though this story is dual POV I would say it largely focuses on Soledad and her journey.

While I have not personally experienced what Soledad has, I think so many readers will be able to relate to her story of attempting to rebuild her life after it all comes crumbling down. Her journey of learning to love yourself and figuring out what she really wants out her life was so beautiful!

The chemistry between Judah and Sole was absolutely sizzlingggg it was insane!! I loved how they, Judah especially, never shied from their feelings and had open communication about what they each wanted for themselves and from each other. Mature adults we love to see it!

**minor spoiler** My one criticism is there’s a love confession that happens that felt like it was kind of abrupt and oddly placed. It took be my surprise and based on their limited interactions I was just a bit shocked by it!

This book had me in a chokehold the whole time I was reading it! The story was just phenomenally written and it was so emotional, and it just drew me in! I loved it so much!

I give this book five stars. I can’t wait for Hendrix’s story.

Synopsis: This is the second in the Skyland series which follows three friends on their own separate paths. (The first was Before I Let Go- also a 5/5 from me.)
This story in particular was not just a romance, but primarily a woman’s fiction about the main character learning to love herself and grow emotionally after dealing with her husband’s betrayal and infidelity.
Pros/cons: Kennedy Ryan writes multicultural novels that are real, thought provoking and sexy as hell. They aren’t cheesy romcoms with spice, “just because.” They’re the real deal. This was no different.
The only con is that you have to wait until March to read it, but that’s right around the corner so start with book one now!

Thankful that I had the opportunity to read this E-ARC, early. This book comes out March 5th, 2024. I enjoyed this book and it was 5⭐️’s up until around the 50% mark and then it slowed down ALOT, so my rating went down.

I feel like after reading “Before i let go” its hard for any book to top that! Other than it being slow at the halfway mark, I really enjoyed the character development in the story. I absolutely loved Judah and Tremaines relationship. Thats your definition of true co-parenting; which most people cant do! They didnt care about who the other person was dating as long as their twins were taken care of. One of my fav parts in the book was when one of the twins gravitated to Soledad and actually talked to her when he hardly ever talked to anyone. That part really made me smile.

Edward needs to burn in hell. That man made me sooo mad and that part of the story was so relatable because I have been there. The cheating; having another child with another woman. That part really hit home for me. He got everything he deserved. I already figured he was cheating when he kept telling Soledad that her v@gina was too loose. 🙄

Soledad really made it happen for her girls! I couldnt imagine a husband putting his wife and kids in that situation. That says alot how he felt about them. Soledads daughter, Inez was making me mad a little in the story by still pushing so hard to have a relationship with Edward after everything that he did. But then again, its her dad and its normal that she feels that way! Im glad that Soledad let her see for herself what kind of “man” he was!

I dont want to spoil the book for others, so ima leave my review at that.

As a Puerto Rican and African American woman, Soledad resonated with me so much. There's not many FMC I feel fully represented by and she did it for me. In more ways than one.

Kennedy Ryan is a real master of her craft. This was such a good read. I love her characters, the lives and personalities and thoughts she gives them. They're beautiful and rich and complex and diverse and unexpected and so so very REAL. I loved the nuances of the plot and the interweaving of the perspectives. And it's spicyyyy! I loved this book.

Kennedy Ryan - I am OBSESSED. She is an auto buy author for me after this one and Before I Let Go. 1 million stars.
