In "Do The New You," Pastor Steven Furtik embarks on a transformative exploration of six key mindsets that guide readers on a profound spiritual journey towards embracing the divine purpose that God has designed for them. Drawing inspiration from his powerful sermons, Pastor Furtik skillfully translates the essence of his teachings into a comprehensive guide for personal spiritual growth and renewal.

The book begins by laying a solid foundation rooted in biblical principles, providing readers with a clear understanding of the significance of renewing their minds according to God's Word. Each mindset is meticulously examined, with Pastor Furtik delving into the intricacies of faith, identity, and purpose. His eloquent prose and relatable anecdotes create a compelling narrative that captures the essence of his sermons, making the book accessible to a wide audience.

Pastor Furtik employs a practical approach, offering readers actionable steps to implement each mindset into their daily lives. Whether addressing Loving your kingdom gifts gratitude, or perseverance, he combines biblical wisdom with real-world applications, ensuring that the spiritual concepts discussed are not merely theoretical but can be lived out authentically.

One commendable aspect of the book is how Pastor Furtik seamlessly weaves in anecdotes from his sermons. These anecdotes serve as poignant illustrations, reinforcing the relevance of the mindsets in various life situations. This interplay between written and spoken word adds a dynamic layer to the book, enhancing its impact and resonating with those who have experienced Pastor Furtik sermons firsthand.

If you have ever wondered after a Sermon was there more and you know you needed to hear more than this book is it. It had me making all kinds of notes. Furthermore because of the repetition in the book of the different mindsets from different stances and real life experiences it makes it easy to apply and practice.

I loved how he removed himself from out of the picture and opened up about his weaknesses. The sincerity was on a whole other level. I feel like we hear Pastor in the pulpit when he is telling his stories but with this book it's so much more in depth and makes it much more relatable.

The author's genuine passion for helping individuals discover their true identity in Christ is evident throughout the book. "Do The New You" doesn't just offer a formulaic approach to spiritual growth but encourages readers to engage in a personal relationship with God. The emphasis on gratitude, reflection, and scripture study serves as a roadmap for readers seeking a deeper connection with their Creator.

While some Christian books can be overly prescriptive, "Do The New You" strikes a balance by inviting readers into a daily practice of doing the you that God has created us to be. He elaborates on many different exercises that he does that we can simply do to get to being the person God called us to be. Pastor Steven Furtik sincere and empathetic tone creates a welcoming atmosphere, making this book not only a guide for personal transformation but a companion for those navigating their spiritual path.

In conclusion, "Do The New You" is a compelling and practical guide for individuals seeking life long spiritual renewal and personal growth. Pastor Furtik's ability to translate and expatiate his sermons into a written format makes this book a valuable resource for both newcomers to his teachings and longtime followers.

Pastor Steven has given us a glimpse into his 'own personal stash' of things God has taught him to deal with his own transformation in become the New You that God always knew. He uses a lot of great stories from his life, family and friends to help us see that these mindsets and attitudes can be applied to any situation. The one that was the strongest for me was 'My Joy is My Job.' What a change when I approach my day in that way. Thank you Pastor Steven for sharing. We are now waiting for the version in Portuguese to come out.

This book took a lot of inspiration from sermons Furtick gave over the past few months. Stories were added in which added to the illustrations & helped to develop the ideas. While the concepts were simple, they were practical and graspable. Per the recommendation of Furtick in the conclusion, I have written the 6 main points on sticky notes & placed them by my desk where I do morning study & quiet time as a reminder that these things are within my control as long as I submit & trust in my creator. This was another great book by Steven Furtick that I would recommend for those looking to reroute the course of their lives and live according to the biblical model laid out by Christ.

I know, I know, people hate him and say he is shallow and some of his stuff is.

The "Westside Story" cover picture with the leather and chains, doesn't help but if you get past his "I'm pretty pains" there is some good stuff in here we can all use or teach in small groups. I found it valuable.

M-Christ is in me. I am enough A-Accept your self;
M-With God there is always a way, and by faith I will find it. A-Focus on possibility;
