This book was thrilling and super entertaining. It follows a love affair between a husband and his work colleague. The wife knows exactly what's going on and believes her husband when he says he's going to cut his affair off, until his colleague goes missing. I really enjoyed this book and would recommend reading it.
This is one of those gripping psychological thrillers that will keep you on the edge of your seat and you won't see what's coming as it has some great and shocking twists and turns. Some of the characters are likeable and some not so much, which I expected. The book is well written, the story very interesting and it was a good length so it didn't get boring and repetitive, which I liked.
It is a rollercoaster of a read and is the type of book that will make you turn the page so you can find out what happens next.
Thank you NetGalley and Storm Publishing for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.
This was a very good read. A couple twists and turns that you can expect and then a few that you have no idea were coming. I'm also from the Cleveland area so it's always fun to recognize neighborhoods that pop up in books.
From the get-go, this suspenseful tale kept me hooked with its unexpected twists and turns. Aaron, a university professor, finds his marriage to Paige strained when he's promoted, leading to suspicions of an affair with Dr. Cara Morton. As events unfold and Cara goes missing, suspicions turn to Aaron. Amidst secrets and accusations, Paige stands by her husband and both delve into the mystery themselves, uncovering shocking truths. This gripping story with a mix of compelling characters is a must-read for fans of mysteries and thrillers. Thanks to Storm and Netgalley for the digital copy.
The premise behind this story was intriguing, unfortunately I didn't like a single character so found it very hard to connect to the story
I'm okay with an unlikeable character, but not when it's every single one...
Ok I enjoyed this one however it started out strong kept me engaged and then it kind of went left too many characters started to be added which too me didn't need it kind of got weird towards the end. Overall I liked it I will still recommend it.
I loved the twists this had to offer. The Perfect Affair kept me on the edge of my seat wanting to know what happens next. I found parts of it to not flow as smoothly as other bits did.
Kept me very entertained and guessing the whole time. Loved all the twist, kept me very interested. Had me on the edge of my seat and found it very hard to put down. Thank you for the arc
The idea behind this novel was really strong, but I found the execution to be lacking. I did not enjoy the ever-changing timelines and character POV's and it made it very difficult for me to want to continue reading. The characters were all very unlikeable, so I was also very uninvested in them. The pacing felt very awkward to me, and I felt some sections were much too lengthy and wordy for no good reason. Some chapters just felt like every little detail was overexplained, and it again made the book feel much longer than it actually was. I really wanted to enjoy this novel but it fell flat for me unfortunately.
Ohhh the perfect affair is full of twists and turns! Very fun and interesting read, I finished this in one go and highly look forward to more from this author!
Wow I really loved this book, excellent read. I will certainly be reading more from this author in future
I was not able to finish the book and therefore do not feel that I can give an unbiased review about the book, its plot, characters, or the author's work. I might revisit this book at a later time and finish it then, but not right now.
When your husband is having an affair, that's bad enough. But when your husband may have committed murder, that's next level! A great story which kept me gripped but I found the storyline dragged out a little. Still well worth a read though!
The professor has an affair with a new colleague. His wife finds out and he says it is over. He lies. He is found out again (no spoilers). He breaks it off.
And now the bunny boiling starts!
I found this quite an easy read that kept me interested.
The ending was a little left of field but finished the story satisfactory.
This book was so good. Roller coaster of emotions. I love not being able to guess who, what , where and why. The ending made the book for me. I hope to read more by this author.
I could not get into this book, or connect with any of the characters 😩 it did have so much promise though
Wow wow wow, this psychological thriller absolutely had me hooked and biting my nails til the very end!! I loved it. This was absolutely the best!!!
I just reviewed The Perfect Affair by Angela Henry. #ThePerfectAffair #NetGalley

2.75 stars - I could not connect with the characters at all. They were unlikable. I was bored most of the time. The plot twist was unexpected.
The Perfect Affair, the story of College Professor, Aaron Nichol's affair with Cara Morton, a colleague and the aftermath is a twisty suspense thriller. Paige, Aarons's wife wants her family to survive the affair, believing Aaron's decision to end it with Cara. But, everything is not all it seems and who can be trusted? When Cara goes missing, the suspense is more intense. The story of Aaron's easy slide into the decision to cheat on his wife and its emotional aftermath is realistic and well developed. My one negative is the back stories that seemd the cross the lines of believability. The ending was a good one, unexpected but it worked. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC of The Perfect Affiar in exchange for my review
