Given from multiple POVs, The Perfect Affair unfolds at a fast and enticing pace and combines elements from Fatal Attraction, Basic Instinct and Presumed Innocent (as Angela Henry herself shares with us at the end of the book). Paige realises that her husband, Aaron, is having an affair with his new colleague, Cara. And as things start to turn ugly, Cara disappears and we are left trying to figure out what's happened to her, everyone's dirty secrets begin to unravel.
The theme that runs through the story is what happens when normal people find themselves in impossible situations and how they react when we are in danger of losing everything they hold dear, which I personally really like. Unreliable narrators and lots of plot twists make this a very enjoyable read. Angela Henry definitely delivers in terms of suspense and I found myself wondering all the time where the whole thing was going and how the story was going to end.

I enjoyed this book a lot!

A good plot and fast pace, all the characters felt really alive. Paige’s siblings are so cool!

The writing was amazing, I saved many quotes and definitely will read other books by this author.

But was a little bit overwhelmed with all the twists and information in the end, otherwise it would be solid 4 stars.

Also, Cara’s connections to other people (can’t say more! iyuyk) are complicated, and was hard to figure out who is who.

But the book is an interesting popcorn thriller, I had a good time reading it. So recommend giving it a try :)

Thank you NetGalley and Storm Publishing for opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

Our Rioters also raise their glasses to our beloved Angela Henry who has an exciting new book out! The Perfect Affair is available in paperback, e-book, and audiobook—what’cha waiting for?! Sherin calls it, “A twisty, suspenseful, funny, “she did what!?” kind of thriller that will keep your head spinning.

This was a great thriller filled with many plot twists that I didn’t see coming. I would recommend this book.

First time I’ve read this author, but it wont be the last! I liked the turns. All. Of. The. Twists. the MMC was my favorite. But the ending? That’s what’s going to make me read her again.

Solid 4.4!

As soon as I started reading this book, I knew that it was going to blow my mind. And it did

The story is about Aaron Nichols and Cara Morton's affair, and how this situation affect both the couple and Paige Nichols life. In the book we see how all the characters has their own problems and their own reason to act he way they do in the book.

I am not going to lie, but thee were moments where I really understand cero of what was happening, like too many things happening at the same time, and too many secrets that, according to my perspective, did not help the 4th the storyline of the boo, it only helps to confuse me about certain things.

But at the end I really enjoy the books, I would totally recommend to a friend.

The Perfect Affair wasn’t so perfect, and for me, neither was this story. There were a lot of twists and shift in time and perspective and it became had to keep track of the who, the what, and the why of it all- including why any of these people still wanted to be with any other of them. Not a lot of likable people, much less love lost here.

If you’re looking for twists on twists on twists, this could be for you.

Thank you Angela Henry, Storm Publishing, and NetGalley for providing this ARC for review consideration. All opinions expressed are my own.

This book is a hold on to your seat, buckle up, and enjoy the ride thriller.
There were so many twists, and I didn't get very many of them right. I adore a book that keeps me guessing.
I'd rate it as a 4.5, and will round it up to a 5 star.

This thriller definitely held my attention throughout, but I do think there were way too many characters to keep track of and some of them are just distracting. I wasn't at all surprised by the ending which I was kind of bummed out by. I didn't see the explanation for the ending coming but wasn't overall shocked by any of it. I think the characters were well developed, but I think I would have liked a little bit more back and forth between Paige and Cara. Cara and Aaron are having a steamy affair. When cara suddenly goes missing, Aaron finds himself as the suspect. The question is will he go to jail for murder he didn’t commit? And can he save his marriage?
I am always a sucker for a domestic thriller. Something about them always pulls me in. I did find it hard to follow at times, and there was a bit much going on.

This offering by Angela Henry left me with mixed feelings.
Throughout the book the plot was fairly standard fare. A colleague affair, the discovery of the affair by the professor’s wife, then the disappearance of the colleague.
Then, with approximately 10% left in the book, all the loose ends start coming together. But wait, there’s more. There is some much more it is hard to keep track of at times. I wanted to say “enough already “.
I do want to thank the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this advance copy.

The Perfect Affair was a fun and quick read. It was a unique perspective to see both sides of the affair as it's narrated from both the wife and the husband. You are quick to villainize the husband for having an affair but as the story continues, you learn that all parties involved aren't perfect. It is a slow burn but the ending is quite explosive.

This is the first book I’ve read by Angela Henry and it certainly will not be the last! It was a perfect thriller… told from a dual POV with some flashback scenes — there is murder, mental health issues, illness of a parent, and adultery. This book is definitely a page turner and kept me engaged. If you're a thriller fan in any capacity, I would recommend grabbing this one immediately.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Storm Publishing for providing me with this digital reviewer copy. 🤍

Although the ending was superb I have read many books with similar storylines and this particular storyline dragged for me in many areas. If you are just getting in to the thriller genre this is a great read but for someone who reads a lot of thrillers this one was just sort of a repeat.

Will give Angela Henry another try for sure though!

I liked the first half of this book. I was interested to see where it went. It then seemed like the story turned into another story. Another story with more characters and plots that I had trouble following. I’d give it a 3.5
