It took me a minute to get into this one, but once I did it was thoroughly enjoyable. What starts as an abominable introduction, transforms into a melodious match. These two develop a harmony and learn to work together in love & respect. A woman determined to change her future, raised a parson’s daughter there is no way she wants a man of the cloth. And yet, that s exactly what she gets and she fits the match flawlessly. The support and help of his family was a delightful part of the story.

This was FANTASTIC!! I didn’t know what to expect, and I had seen some mixed reviews about this series but I absolutely loved it, I can’t wait to go back and read all the other books I NEED TO MEET THE OTHER BROTHERS!!

The pacing was a little slow at the start which is why it’s not a full 5 stars but once it got going, it was really enjoyable! I do wish we got a little bit more communication/interaction before they got together but it was still fantastic and I can definitely still see the natural progression of their feelings- it still made sense when they got together at the end!!

Just a really fun read, lots of town gossip and shenanigans and near-scandals and fevers bringing the love interests together followed by a miraculous recovery lmao; a good time, will definitely be picking up the rest of the series (on audio if I can because the narrator was fab!!)

I haven't read any other books in the series, but I found this a bit dull. The couple had very little chemistry, and the heroine made such stupid choices. I didn't feel any real build-up or affection. It was a bit anticlimactic when they decided to get together

This was a great historical fiction romance. I love this style of book. It's always so interesting to hear about the ton and the different lifestyle back then. While this book is in a series, I feel you can read this without reading the other books. I have not read the rest of the series and knew what was going on through the entire book. The book kept my attention the entire time. I found several spots very funny while others were worrisome. The story is well written and keeps your attention through the entire book.

Verity is a country deans daughter having dreamed of a life full of adventure and not as a person of church's wife. She's spirited and smart and kind.

Lord Randolph, one of 6 sons of a duke, is a vicar, but has made the arch bishop mad and his career is in jeopardy.

Whats starts as instant dislike from Verity to Randolp morphs into something better through their love for music. They just gel together.

A low angst, clean book that was pleasant to read. The narration was on point which good character differentiations.

Lord Randolph seeks a suitable wife, but adventurous Verity has no interest in the rector of a sleepy country town. Yet their mutual love of music sparks an unexpected attraction. Will her father's objections stand in their way?

Randolph and Verity are likeable characters who are well suited to each other. Verity is smart and spirited, while Randolph is genuine and caring. Verity's gossipy friends add comic relief. The narration is well done.

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.
