She needs a baby and he wants out. Match made in heaven right? This was an interesting plot to say the least.
I think the story line just wasn't for me, but it was fast pace and short. A decent quick read,
We love a good trope flip and Baby Daddy Protector didn't disappoint. While it took a page out of Princess Diaries 2, it was a spicier version with a protective male lead and I adored it!
Zachary "Z" Raybourn, a former SEAL relegated to protecting a foreign princess, Esme Hollycombe, finds himself in an unexpected situation when Esme proposes a contract: he marries her to secure her country's throne and fathers her child. Initially hesitant, Z eventually agrees, leading to a complex journey of action, intrigue, and unexpected romance. As their fake relationship evolves into something real, Z must choose between his military family and the nuclear family he's creating with Esme. Despite the unconventional circumstances, their bond deepens, culminating in a satisfying ending. The story offers a fresh twist on the princess and bodyguard trope, with engaging characters and a compelling narrative that keeps readers hooked until the end.

HEA: yes
spice: several open-door spicy scenes
TWs: mentions of war, kidnapping, attempted murder, manipulative family, cancer, death of a parent (recounted), death of a parent (on page not descriptive), stalking, terrorism threats
standalone: yes
final thoughts: there was a lot packed into this story- romance, angst, mystery elements, thriller elements, tear jerking and sentimental moments, and more! Their relationship was fun to read and I love reading the internal pulls of each character falling for the other while they think the other one thinks itโs all still fake- one of my favorite parts of fake dating/married/engaged!
It was cute, tense, and fun but at times it felt like it went too fast and we got to a conclusion too quickly, but it was a fun read

The plot was interesting but the ending killed it. It's not a bad ending, but being the romantic that I am, I was expecting more... maybe a little glimpse into the former king's vision? That aside, I loved the way you write and hope to read more from you.
This was a fine romance. It was a quick read and decently fun. Was a fine book to read on my commute but I wouldnโt read again or highly recommend it.
Honestly I could not put this book down the writing is beautiful super sexy and steamy. Read this in one day I loved it so much

I loved this book, it was easy to read with no miscommunication whatsoever. Although I dont like royalty romance, I still liked it because it had lovely characters and a good storyline. I loved the MCs, their relationship, and chemistry. I liked that they fell in love steadily, not that they started lusting over each other immediately.

I liked the Villain aspect, but anyone could have seen that coming a mile off, but it was still nice.

I liked this book and it was an easy read. I'd definitely read more by the author
A princess whose mind has been in her failing father is caught unaware when a coup means she needs a male heir to keep the royal lands out of her unethical cousinโs hands. She promptly asks her American bodyguard if he will โdo the honorsโ and naturally, she conceives a male baby immediately. The romance is standard rescue me/save my kingdom, with falling in love quickly. Then again, the reader surely knew that going into the book. This story wonโt blow your socks off, but itโs a pleasant weekend read.
