Seventeen-year-old Olivia Owens isn’t thrilled about her dad’s third wedding, especially since it follows a trail of betrayal. After cheating on Olivia’s mom, kicking them out of their Rhode Island home, and cutting her off from her inheritance, her dad has earned her revenge. While hundreds of guests gather at the estate where she once lived, Olivia plans the ultimate heist. She’ll play the part of the perfect daughter, but she’s really after the handwritten passcode in her dad’s safe, the key to millions in his online accounts. With a quirky crew of high school misfits and one former teacher, Olivia has meticulously planned every detail. But as meddling guests, scheming relatives, and a vengeful new stepmother threaten to unravel it all, Olivia must stay focused—because when she’s done, “something borrowed” will take on a whole new meaning.
I read this in one sitting, late into the night. The authors' took a different route, writing not just romance but a teenage heist. Think Thieve's Gambit, Ocean' 8/11/12 and The Inheritance Games, with a dash of Truly Devious series. Just when I thought I had it all figured out...BAM...took a turn I didn't see coming. I cannot wait to see what the next adventure is for the Chess Club.

I've been a fan of this writing duo, enjoying many of their previous books. So when I saw Heiress Takes All, I knew I wanted to read it.
Unfortunately, this book wasn't the greatest. I know it's young adult, and I do enjoy YA books, but the main character felt too childish. I had a hard time really caring about the story. It felt like the authors kept throwing in complications just for the sake of complicating the plot. Obviously if the heist went smoothly, it wouldn't be as interesting. But the complications didn't feel organic. It all felt forced. I admit I didn't guess the twist at the end, but again I felt like it was forced. There wasn't any foreshadowing. It was like the authors were like "hey, wouldn't it be cool if we did this?"
The book wasn't bad, it just wasn't for me. I can see how other readers may really enjoy this book. I just didn't... I had to force myself to keep going.

Honestly, I loved this! There were so many delightful twists and turns to this ultimate heists at the wedding of the century. It exposes the tragic innerworkings of a narcissistic father's relationship with his daughter in a very cathartic way for someone who has been through such abuse. It is witty and charming at times, yet also gets that mysterious edge to the writing. I loved every minute of this from start to finish and can't wait for the next!

A heist gone wrong and all conducted by the heiress daughter and her crew of wayward teens. I had difficulty in staying with this read, it was a slow burn, for real, but it was still quite enjoyable. I really likes the ending and woul dread more from these authors.

Unfortunately I think this one was just a combination of things I enjoy separately, but not together - comedy, romance, thriller. Doesn't stand out for me among the pack.

Thank you to NetGalley and Little, Brown Books for an advanced reader copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Heiress Takes All by Emily Wibberley and Austin Siegemund-Broka is the perfect combination of Ocean’s 11 and The Inheritance Games as a teenager pulls off a heist to sabotage and reclaim her family’s money - her money! The book had a really good balance of being fast paced while also enjoyable and silly at times. The relationship between Olivia and Jackson is very cute, but I’m glad it didn’t seem to be a forefront to the storyline and more of a character building piece. This is a fantastic YA book for anyone interested in the thriller/romance genre.

This book was a little different than what I expected. It was good, suspenseful, but it wasn’t entirely what I expected! I love their books, so it was a shock, but I would still recommend!!!

A solid fun YA mystery heist reminiscent of Inheritance games! Not extremely complex but an overall fun and great read.

If you're in the mood for a fun, fast-paced book that's light on complexity and heavy on charm, Heiress Takes All is a perfect choice. It's one of those silly, entertaining stories that’s easy to breeze through, especially when you need a break from heavier novels.
The plot centers around Olivia, whose father is a classic deadbeat, but one with plenty of money. After he betrays her and her mother, Olivia seeks revenge. The perfect opportunity arises when her father is about to marry his mistress, so Olivia decides to assemble a crew and steal millions from him. Of course, nothing goes as planned, especially when her ex-boyfriend keeps getting in the way.
The book is just pure fun. It starts off quickly and never slows down. Olivia is a fast-thinking, high-strung character who adapts as things spiral out of control. Her team members are easy to keep track of, each with their own quirky personality.
That said, I had to suspend my disbelief from the start. There are plenty of plot holes and unanswered questions, but if you let them slide, the story can still be enjoyable. The authors aren’t trying to craft a serious heist novel, so once you accept that, you can roll with it.
The book is packed with twists—maybe even a bit too many for my liking. They keep things exciting, but at times it became hard to follow. A couple of subplots caught my attention, but I’ll admit, I tuned out from the others.
What surprised me most was the emotional depth Olivia experienced. While the story is chaotic and full of twists, Olivia also deals with the trauma her father caused her, from anger to the shame of wanting his approval. Her unresolved issues with him affect her relationships, especially with her ex. Surprisingly, the romantic subplot worked for me here; it’s crucial to Olivia’s growth as she faces her past.
If you're looking for something light, fun, and with a satisfying ending, Heiress Takes All is definitely worth picking up. Just be prepared to overlook a few plot holes and enjoy the ride!

This book was such a fun ride. The character growth was incredible to witness and I felt fully consumed by the world of this book and all the antics that ensued.

I got this book for free, in exchange for my honest opinion via NetGalley.
I love me a good heist story! And this, did not disappoint. I loved this book! And the authors are a real life couple, I love it even more! "Heiress Takes All," is a vivid adventurous, young adult, thriller. It's a fast-paced, highly entertaining story of a high school crew's version of Ocean's 11. It's a great read for young adults and adults alike.
The story follows Olivia Owens has been kicked out of her Rhode Island home along with her mother. She is determined to get her share of the inheritance, which means she's not going to steal the money, but rather take what is hers, from ger father's accounts. To help her achieve this plan, she gathers a ragtag team of high school friends and a former teacher. However, of course her plan didn't involve her ex-boyfriend who may or may not have cheated on her and who is now trying to win her back, a group of European cousins who very may ruin her plans, and a vindictive second wife that would turn Olivia's plans upside down. Olivia must keep her eye on the prize, to collect what is hers.
I enjoyed the ride this book took me on. Some of the plots twists I saw coming, others took me by complete surprise. I can say for sure that I was hooked on this story from the first chapter. It has a fun cast of characters, and was so much fun! The only downside for me, was I found the book lost some steam after the first half, however, I did like the way everything tied together at the end.
Thank you, NetGalley, Emily Wibberley, and Austin Siegemund-Broka for allowing me to review! As always, my review is my own opinion and thoughts. This review will be shared to my Instagram @what_emm_reads shortly.

I wasn't the biggest fan of this book - I think it doesn't live up to the hype of other YA thrillers.

This was such a fun, adventurous new book from Wibbroka! I love seeing them branch out from the traditional YA romances, and this one was a hit.

I really enjoyed this one! This is my first wib-broka YA novel, and I honestly wasn't sure what to expect. I think they captured the tension of the heist with the tension Olivia feels in her personal life so well. I think it's what made all of the elements of the story weave together so cohesively. The characters felt very age-appropriate as well, where I felt like we could see that Oliva and her friends did all have to grow up a lot at a young age, but at the same time, they were still kids and prone to making decisions like kids. It sets itself in the world of an affluent New England and I feel like the imagery is half of what makes this such a good book, The contrast of picturesque setting descriptions with the internal messiness of the plot sets up the perfect contrast and makes for effective storytelling. I would absolutely recommend this, not just for young readers, but for anyone who loves a good heist and underdog story!

My previous experience with these particular author duo was a bit of a let down so I was very happy to see that this book was far better than my last experience with their work. I loved the heist element along with the unraveling of our main characters intentions. It was very suspenseful and made for a compelling read. The romance element was probably my least favorite aspect of the entire book. I did quite enjoy the various plot twists and the big reveal/double cross at the end which only added to the suspense.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for this advanced copy. I think I’m finally accepting that ya mysteries just aren’t my cup of tea anymore. This one was a twisty heist story. I just didn’t feel connected to the characters or story but I think it was a me think and not the fault of the book.

Heiress Takes All reminder me of Inheritance Games and it was great. Entertaining and a good read for a YA mystery.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for early access to Heiress Takes All in exchange for my honest opinion. After not loving the two previous YA and adult romance novels by this author pair, I procrastinated reading this book. I ended up mostly listening to the audio which I took out from my local library after publication.
Set in Rhode Island, Heiress Takes All is a bit of a far-fetched caper story, where a young woman plots to steal her inheritance from her father on his wedding day to her new (and much younger) stepmother, in order to help her mother pay their bills now that they are on their own. She has a whole host of helpers (think a ragtag bunch a la Ocean's 11), and they are met with issue after issue.
I thought the book was cute, however, and I did recommend it to one of my students recently. I don't know if all adults would enjoy it and/or follow my lead of recommending it to teenagers, but I found it a fun (If unbelievable) plot and execution. Heiress Takes All is now available everywhere.

So sorry - Review was posted at publication time:
This book had everything I look for in a story -- especially what sold me was the heist set up. It was, admittedly, tough to get into, but for anyone looking for a good ride, I'd definitely give it a try. Unfortunately, most anything after that is a spoiler, but this is a good way to spend a Saturday afternoon!
