im sorry but why is this so insanely boring ??? i have genuinely attempted to read this on more than 10 occasions but somehow i get distracted before even finishing a page - i managed to get to at least the 35% marker and yet it felt like just a bunch of background and literally no action, but hey maybe that's just me, truly couldn't bring myself to finish it

Olivia is angry and rightfully so. Her father cheated on her mother, kicked them out of the house, removed Olivia from her inheritance, and is now getting remarried. But Olivia has a plan. While the guest are enjoying the extravagant wedding Olivia has a plan to move her father money into accounts. With help from some friends this former heiress is determined to get what she thinks she deserves but things arent always easy.

This was a quick read and fun. I liked the story and thought it was interesting and funny at times. The plot was pretty simple and was something that anyone could follow.

One- line Synopsis of the book - The Inheritance Games meets Ocean’s 11 in this thrilling YA adventure about a teenager determined to pull off the perfect heist in the midst of her father’s wedding.

My review: I read this book in one day probably in 2-3 hours right before I posted this review. I got caught up with work that I couldn’t finish the book on time right until today and man oh man if the book wasn’t good enough I wouldn’t have been able to finish it off.

Olivia Owens and her unlikely crew were unbelievable at first (probably bcos they are teens) but the writing made it compelling. We get to know why she plots this revenge and her motivations are driven by betrayal that starts early on in her life and makes it believable.

Like I said, the twists keep coming, some fun and some to keep you guessing but throughout, the story never lets you down. The authors tried to add some drama and tension by including some hindrances during the execution of The Plan which contributed in keeping me, the reader happily hooked. Kevin Webber, one such hindrance 😜 was my favorite character I guess.

I really enjoyed reading the book and rate this book 4/5 stars ✨✨✨✨✨and I’m looking forward to a follow-up series that was hinted towards the end.

THANKS TO NETGALLEY AND THE PUBLISHER FOR THIS ADVANCE REVIEW COPY EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW.

I read the YA heist book and I was ready to be surprised. Olivia Owens, the daughter of a rich but problematic podcaster. Olivia and her mother were kicked out of the house after her father’s mistress was exposed. Life took a 360 turn for Olivia-in her words her life is reversed version of Cinderella. She can’t see her mother making ends meet when her father becomes a deadbeat. She has to take her right back and what’s better time than her father’s third grand wedding?

The story started really interesting. Olivia took time to find people who’d help her in the heist. Everyone has a motive, whether it is money or something else. The premise of the book was really good, the middle half of the book left a bitter taste on my tongue, as I witnessed the story going downward. The writing style didn’t let me remain connected to the story or characters. The book got unnecessarily dragged. I wouldn’t have minded if there was a proper heist of clear indication of what was going on. It felt like a bunch of headless chickens just running around. Other characters were just there, more like filler, and could have used a little bit of depth. No doubt, Kevin was the annoying one. I didn’t care about the final twist either. It’s an understatement to say, this book disappointed me.

Olivia is a girl with a score to settle. After being amongst the elite of the world’s wealthiest, she finds herself barely scraping by – her father’s affair to blame. So, she does what any bored 17 year old with a score to settle does – she enlists her own crew of Ocean’s 11-style misfits to pull off the heist of the century at her father’s latest wedding.

Heiress Takes All is a quick, fun, whimsical romp that takes place, more or less, over a few short hours. As Olivia and her team try their best to not get caught, get what they want, and get out, each person learns a little more about themselves and about how they fit in Olivia’s world.

I enjoyed this book, even though I found it fantastical at times. I loved the suspension of disbelief, and the idea that a disgruntled daughter could lay claim to a family fortune from a less that great dad. As the obstacles stacked up against Olivia and her team, I did have to remind myself that I am not the target audience, though, and the parts that I found a little silly are probably exactly what will lure in a teen reader to this fun, fast story.

Overall, 3.75/5 stars for me!

I NEED BOOK 2! I need another heist! I was hooked on this and couldn't put it down. I liked all the tension and the twists; a solid YA heist novel that even adults will enjoy!

I received an advanced copy. All thoughts are my own.

A cute YA take on Oceans 11. A very elaborate plan with a diverse cast of characters. Not a bad concept, just felt a bit drawn out. I look forward to more from these authors.

Love this duo and loved this high stakes fast paced read even more! They tackled friendship, family drama, and plot perfectly

Firstly I want to say thank you for the ARC. Now onto the actual review. I'm a sucker for a heist themed plot. Over the years I have enjoyed Six of Crows (which is a YA fantasy heist duology) and the Heist Society by Ally Carter (a YA contemporary heist series). When I saw one of my favorite author duos was going to create a YA heist, I was super excited. This follows an heiress that lost everything after her father kicked her and her mother out of their home.

In a fit of rage, Olivia decides to get revenge. She gets together a team of people to put together a heist against her father. Her goal? Steal some money from him. Overall, this story was fast paced, had short chapters, and some really likable characters. While I honestly could have done without the romance, because I felt like it sometimes took away from the drama of the actual heist, it was a really fun read! 3.5 stars.

Revenge. A heist. Inheritance.

The plot of this book was exciting. Olivia has the perfect revenge plan to get back at her cheating father for kicking her mother and herself out. She’s going to steal his fortune. She has the perfect plan worked out and has recruited the perfect team to execute it. In fact, the supporting characters were what made the book for me. Olivia was a bit too much in her own head. She continually repeats how much she hates her father and how she hates her ex for cheating on her. It gets a bit repetitive for me in the first half. The plot seems to quicken in the second half. But (spoiler alert), I still can’t figure out how the team got the paper with the code away from Lexi and back to the safe. I enjoyed the second half with all the action more than the first. I liked the well-rounded, secondary characters and how they all fit together in a quirky way. Rating 3.5

Olivia Owens grew up rich–living in a mansion with daily help, attending an exclusive school. All the ended abruptly when she caught her father with his secretary and told her mother. Her father, a ruthless and uncaring man, immediately divorced her mother, whose pre-nup left her with nothing, and kicked the two of them out of his life. Now they live with a lot of medical debt, both of them working multiple jobs, and Olivia attends a normal public high school.

Her father’s second marriage didn’t last long and now he’s marrying bride number 3, age 25, only 7 years older than his daughter. And Olivia wants revenge. She has concocted a plan to steal the codes to his online investments and recruited a talented bunch of friends to help her. There’s Cass, wearing all black, to hack into the computer; there’s Tom to play her dashing date and distract people; there’s former teacher McCoy to infiltrate security; there’s talented baker Deonte to smuggle phones in via his cake. What could go wrong?

Well of course, plenty, and I have to say that this book had more twists and turns than a snake doing a U-turn. Every step of the plan adds more complications that must be overcome last minute, including more people who want in on the action.

Heiress Takes All is young adult, but had some qualities that lift it above the norm for this genre. First of all, the teens were realistic in their abilities. It didn’t require herculean efforts of disbelief suspension to follow this crew, who are smart and quick-thinking, but not superhumanly so. Secondly, while the love interest is sometimes just a bit too eye-rollingly perfect, I did appreciate Olivia’s conflicted feelings towards her father and her ex-boyfriend. It’s a fun read, especially if you enjoy Young Adult adventures! I recommend it.

I’ve loved this writing (and real life) duo since The Roughest Draft.

I really liked the idea of this book. I love a good heist story, and YA is usually my jam. But I think I need my books to be more believable and I think this onc was too movie driven not book driven if that makes sense. I think everything this little band of heisters went through was definitely intriguing. I'd love to see it on the Big Screen.

I love a YA book with a good thrill. Sadly this one felt flat. It was more of a heist than anything else which is fine but the heist just didn’t hit for me. I also didn’t connect with any of the characters. It was a quick read though and not bay written.

HEIRESS TAKES ALL was a fast-paced and fun book about a girl who has plans to steal her father’s fortune and redistribute it after her he makes yet another life choice that isn’t quite the best. She runs in to some unexpected competition though when other people in her father’s sphere also want a chunk of his empire. It’s a race against the clock as former heiress Olivia and her crew try to take everything her father owns and leave him how he left her and her mother — penniless, homeless, left with only the clothes on their backs. ⁣

Described as Ocean’s 11 meets The Inheritance Games, that descriptor is perfectly spot on. This book shares many of the same elements that make those two fantastic. This book also had a lot of emotion concerning dysfunctional family dynamics and an absentee father, and I really appreciated the depth that brought to this tale. The MC Olivia was strong and smart, and certainly had a heart of gold, despite her nefarious plans. Overall, I really enjoyed this and would definitely recommend it. 4 stars.

Thank you NetGalley, Little, Brown Books for Young Readers, and Emily Wibberly and Austin Siegemund-Broka for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review! I hate to say it, but I couldn’t get into this one… I’ve tried to read books by these authors before and never connected with the writing. However, YA fans should still check it out in case they like it more!

I have been on a kick for heist titles, and knowing this one was coming from two of my favorite romance authors made it a must-read. With a cast of characters that made the heist crew fun to read, constant interruptions and changes to their plan and some love thrown in HEIRESS TAKES ALL was thoroughly entertaining from start to finish.

Revenge and money are always worth fighting for, and when it comes to family Olivia has plenty of motivation to take money from her dad. I loved that she kept going no matter what was thrown her way, and how the book was constantly giving the unexpected.

Thank you to TBR Beyond Tours for having me on the book tour, I created a playlist full of songs I thought matched the vibe of the book and had a blast doing so. Thank you Little Brown Young Readers for the finished copy in exchange for my thoughts on the tour!

Highly recommend Thieves' Gambit by Kayvion Lewis and The Takedown by Carlie Walker if you loved this one! After reading and watching Argylle, reading the titles I just listed I want more books like this, they're so fun to devour.

I have read all of Wibberley and Siegemund-Broka’s books, YA and adult. I love their writing because it’s smart, moves quickly, and sounds authentic. The YA always sounds like teenagers, and this one is no different. Of course, the main teen of this book is smarter than your average one because she masterminds a heist to get revenge on her father, and also steal his money, Is this a realistic novel? No. Does it matter? Absolutely not. You just get caught up in the action really quickly, especially as the book is written with plenty of mysteries in the plot that are cleverly revealed in each chapter. Did Olivia’s boyfriend Jackson cheat on her? You have to read to find out. How did she get her merry band of thieves together? You have to keep reading. The friendships that are built during the heist and planning for the heist are also a strong point of the writing. You really root for all of the characters. Reading this book is a lot like watching a very fun movie.

Thank you NetGalley for the free digital ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I don’t read a lot of YA anymore but wanted to give this a try because I’ve enjoyed several of Wibberly and Siegemund-Broka’s books in the past. The summary sounded like one where I’d have to suspend a lot of disbelief but had the potential to be a lot of fun. Unfortunately, it just didn’t work for me. I was questioning a lot of the main character’s decisions. The opening of the book thrusts you right into the drama, but then the plot slows down considerably from there. We get flashbacks to how the crew came to work together, but I didn’t feel emotionally invested in any of them. And the fact that an adult was involved in the heist? I couldn’t get past it.

Let me start by saying that I completely saw Olivia as Parker from Leverage as a teenager and I loved it, if you have no idea what I'm talking about that's ok.

The idea behind this book had me intrigued and I wanted to to get sucked in, and at moments I did but there were moments that were just hard for me to get through.

While I loved the story, the plotting, the theft, the relationship with Olivia and her group of teenage (and a sort of ex-teacher) theives that ending just kind of ruined it for me.

I have to say I will always be honest in my reviews and I have to say if I could give this one 3.5 stars I would so I'll be rounding up to 4 stars for review purposes.

Thank you to NetGalley and Little Brown and Company for providing a copy of this ebook, I have voluntarily read and reviewed it and all thoughts and opinions are my own.
