Such a cozy Christmas story. I needed to read a book like this one.
The author has a way of writting that makes your imagination work, at least that's what it did to me. I could imagine the locations and the recipes mentioned... and be hungry.
Please, keep writting like this. I would love to read more from you.

A very sweet and heartwarming story of a family who we can all identify with. It’s very easy to drift as adults and realise that your relationships with your siblings or adult children are not what you wanted them to be- this story of them pulling together again amidst the magic of a Christmas in a town so special to them all is very lovely to read. Perfect for getting festive!

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and author for this eARC.

This is a beautifully written short Christmas story that is perfect to get you into the festive spirit. It flows well and I enjoyed the story being told through characters who I mostly liked. I imagined the house, area and characters in my mind when reading. There's a bit of family drama and the story is about family and friends coming together over the Thanksgiving and Christmas period and reconciling any differences they have. I think it's the perfect Christmas read, it is heartwarming, poignant and bought a smile to my face. I've not read any books by this author before and I will look at her other books. If you want to read a book that just takes you away from your everyday life and troubles and is a bit of escapism then this is definitely the book that will do this. Recommended.

Follow the Abernathy family at Christmas as they buy a home, mend fences and celebrate Christmas.

Just a feel good story centered around family, love and Christmas. Perfect gift for someone who loves a wholesome story with no spice but leaves you believing in love and going home for Christmas. Story takes place in beautiful Cape May, NJ, a favorite family vacation spot of mine when my kids were younger. If you ever get the chance, do visit it at Christmas time, it’s magical. Book is a loving tribute to this seaside community, highlighting many spots. Recipes given are a plus! Gorgeous cover. This would make a perfect remembrance of your trip.

Thanks to SS Productions and NetGalley for this ARC. This is my honest opinion.

The story continues on from the title of the book. There seems to be magic in Cape May, and a wish of having her sons reconnect and get along like they used to this Christmas, would take some magic. Maybe the magic that Cape May has and the magic of Christmas, might just bring the two brothers back together, and let go of what was and discover what will be. You will have to read the book, to find out, but it will keep you reading and make you feel like you are at Cape May. Enjoy!
I received an ARC from SS Productions.

Suzanne Simonetti has written a heartwarming tale about a fractured family experiencing togetherness and set it in a charming city that finds itself playing host to the 58th annual West Cape May Community Christmas Parade.

Cape May is a real place - it’s located at the southern tip of Cape May Peninsula in New Jersey and home to the author. You don’t need to read too far into this holiday novel to see why Cape May became known as America’s first seaside resort. Furthermore, the author refers to actual stores and restaurants in her book, and the curious amongst us can find them (1) listed at the back of the book with internet links and (2) on the author’s website. I loved having a visual in my mind prior to reading.

Rita and Charles Abernathy live in a 150-year-old Victorian home and dream of having both their sons and their families home for Christmas. The Abernathys have a long-standing tradition of Christmas in this quaint ocean-side locale, but togetherness doesn’t seem like a possibility this Christmas (the first in their new heritage home) because of disharmony. As you’d expect, Christmas magic wraps around this town and softens the hearts of those needing some seasonal spirit. Yes, it’s a HEA, but the road there is where Simonetti weaves her magic. She'll have the biggest Grinch among us believing that holiday wishes do come true!

I loved being transported to this endearing setting, experiencing the comforting charm, and seeing Christmas through the eyes of those who make Cape May their home.

I was gifted this copy by SS Productions and NetGalley and was under no obligation to provide a review.
