It was everything I was hoping for and more. People needing closure, trying to find oneself, the growth or lack there of in relationships, finding home.
At the end of the day, this was 3 love stories in 1 and it was so, so good!

Embarking on a literary journey with Pamela Kelley was like stumbling upon a hidden treasure chest with "The Seaside Sisters."

This book was like a cozy blanket on a stormy day, a refreshing break from the heart-pounding adventures I usually dive into. The bond between sisters Hannah and Sara, along with their aunt, was like a symphony of words. Their love and struggles felt so real, tugging at my heartstrings.

Hannah's bold move to her hometown of Cape Cod had me green with envy - who wouldn't want a slice of that remote work paradise? Watching her romance with Spencer blossom, alongside the quirky shore dwellers, was pure joy.

With its sandy setting, "The Seaside Sisters" is the ultimate beach companion. Kelley weaves tales of relationships with finesse, crafting a story that unfolds like a seashell on the shore.

This is a perfect beach read. It was a little predictable but the setting was perfect. I felt like I was in Chatham and Cape Cod.

I found this book quite dry and boring. There is a lack of plot and no excitement or interest. It was hard to become invested in the characters when their problems resolved themselves almost immediately and without any drama or excitement. On a more minor note, the names of the characters were also incredible boring and not unique. I didn’t love the name dropping of brands (wine, etc) - it felt insincere and like the author was trying too hard to make the characters relatable.

This is the perfect beach read. Hannah has writers block and decides to go home to Cape Cod for the summer to be with her sister, Sarah and her aunt. It turns out to be a summer that everything comes together. I loved the characters and the easy banter amongst them. The plot had the perfect combination of friendship, love, struggles, and starting over. This is a light, easy, enjoyable read. Highly recommend.

I was pleasantly surprised to find repeat characters and setting from the author’s previous novel Bookshop by the Bay! I am glad I got to read this novel thru NetGalley and really enjoyed the story, Its a good story with great personal growth by the main character and her sister and aunt.
It is a fun read and I look forward to more from Pamela Kelley.l

Hannah wrote a best seller, but can she follow that up with a second book? As she struggles to work on her second novel and embracing the changes in her personal life she takes the opportunity to move to the Cape and spend the summer with her aunt and sister. A comfortable read that deals with relationships and personal growth, this would make a good beach read or just a good read to escape from your own life ( and really isn't that why a lot of us read ). So enjoyable.

I generally enjoy Pamela M. Kelley's books a lot. She has great characters and wonderful settings. Her books always transport me to somewhere fun and give me happy endings that make me smile. Unfortunately, this particular story was missing a lot to make it on par with her previous stories.

The cover is beautiful and absolutely drew me in. But the story was just fine. It was okay. I gave it three stars which might be kind of generous. It's not that I hated the story, but it was truly subpar and lacking a lot. I felt like there was a lot that could have been fleshed out more and could have gone deeper. And the title of the story is not quite accurate either - as its about two sisters and an aunt.

If you're looking for a great beach read, I would recommend you pick up something else by Pamela M. Kelley before reaching for this particular story as I think she has others that are far superior!

The characters were a bit tepid, and Kelley's writing in this novel seems to imitate Hildebrand's. One thing that is a pet peeve of mine (that Hildebrand does ad nauseum) is to name drop places and brands. Kelley does that in this book, and it is a distraction from the plot. There were also two minor scenes that did not flow. At one point, Hannah and Spencer are discussing the differences between NYC and Cape
Cod. Spencer opines all the reasons why the Cape is better. The exact same discussion occurs between the two characters in a different setting 2 pages later. The other bugaboo is when Hannah's sister, Sara, is so excited to turn on her iPad to read a new ARC, but then muses how excited she is that her boss at the book store gave her an ARC BOOK! Please, Ms. Kelley, return to the Nantucket characters and their lives, and leave this boring bunch alone in Chatham.

This is a perfect book to take on your beach vacation. Hannah and Sara rediscover their sisterly bond while reinventing their fractured lives. Each sister must come to terms with what is wrong in their life before they can change. Of course, there must be a will they or won’t they romance! Very enjoyable.

Perfect light beachy read, especially if you summer anywhere on Cape Cod. Hannah is a writer based in Brooklyn who is struggling to complete her second manuscript, fearful that it won't measure up to the wild success of her debut romance novel. Believing that a change of scenery might help, Hannah heads back to her hometown of Chatham on Cape Cod to spend the summer with her aunt. After the death of her mother, Hannah has not wanted to revisit the Cape, but at the urging of her aunt, she agrees.
Finding that the ocean, the neighbors and the quietness of the off-season are helping Hannah with her panic attacks and her writer's block, she decides to spend the summer there. Meeting the neighbor's son, Spencer reminds Hannah of high school when she worshiped senior class Spencer from the lowly position of a mere junior. Spencer is now an attorney and Hannah ends up spending more time with him than she'd planned as both her aunt and her neighbors seem to be arranging for them to meet at various village functions. But Spencer has relationship baggage and even as Hannah admits that he's a nice guy, she knows that her home now is in Brooklyn while his is on the Cape.

The Seaside Sisters follows Hannah, Sara, and their aunt Maddie. Hannah is a writer with writer's block, Sara and Maddie are having difficulties with their marriages. Sara wants to go to work after staying at home with the children and not getting much support from her husband, while Maddie and her husband are separated.

I love books involving sister relationships and this book was very cute, sweet, and light-hearted. Although, the plot was predictable. The story was well written and a nice read after finishing a very heavy book. This book would be a great vacation read.

Loved the fact that sisters were able to reconnect in a wonderful way. Not only was the story line great but the emotions and way that they could build each other up and have the chance to grow their relationship was wonderful. Love reading Pamela Kelley

Another great book by Pamela M. Kelley. Hannah leaves the city behind for the summer to spend time on the Cape with her Aunt and her sister. She loves being back home, but knows she will return to Brooklyn after the summer. She stays busy writing her new book and taking in the sights around her. She makes new friends and a new love interest starts to kindle. Although, she doesn't' want to get too serious because she knows she must return home. Must read to find out all the changes Hannah, Maddie, and Sara experienced in this wonderful story of family, finding yourself, and embracing changes.

This is a nice summer read set on Cape Cod. Hannah and Sara are sisters who grew up in Chatham. Hannah left for Brooklyn and is a best selling author struggling to write her next book. Sara, who is feeling dissatisfied with her life as a wife and mother of four, stayed. Their aunt invites Hannah to the Cape for the summer. Both sisters are excited, maybe this summer will be a catalyst for change for both of them.

I really enjoyed Bookshop By the Bay by Pamela Kelley, but The Seaside Sisters fell flat for me. I liked that it incorporated some of the characters from her first book, but the story line moved slowly and there was no real excitement or romance until the end. I struggled to finish it.
