I had higher hopes for this read, if I’ll be honest. This one was quite dry. I liked that there were 3 different main characters, but because of that everything felt a little rushed and had the most random, awkward things happen. Just not a book for me!

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s press for the chance to read this ARC!

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC. Pamela Kelley has a way of writing multiple relationship development and POV so seamlessly that it really keeps the reader pulled in. Love the family aspect and seeing your value in a relationship. This is exactly what I needed during a snow storm.

This is the perfect beach read for summer! It reminded me of books I've read by Mary Kay Andrews, one of my favorite authors. Hannah and Sara get the chance to spend time together at a beachfront home with the plan to reinvigorate their careers and wind up also reinvigorating themselves and their relationship. Hannah is a best selling author who needs a change in order to come up with her next big idea and Sara needs a change in order to get back to who she was before she became a busy mom and wife. Their aunt's oceanfront cottage in Chatham is exactly what both sisters need. The description of the scenery is amazing!

While grieving her mother’s death, Hannah is also struggling to write her second book after the success of her first one. She returns from NY to her hometown of Chatham, Cape Cod for the summer, staying with her aunt in her oceanfront home, and enjoys rekindling her close relationship with her sister and family. With the slower paced lifestyle of Cape Cod, as Hannah finds her words for her book, she might just find romance with an old aquaintance from high school that ends up back in her life.

This is my second book by Pamela Kelly and I thoroughly enjoyed this beach read. Her writing style is so descriptive and her characters are people that I would love to be friends with. I have never visited Cape Cod but I can imagine the food, the shops and the beauty of it just from her writing.

Thank you to the author, NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the advance copy to review.

The Seaside Sisters Author: Pamela Kelley

Hannah is a young romance-comedy writer living in Brooklyn, NY who has writer’s block with her new book that is set in a law office, and thinks a change of scenery may help. She decides to relocate for the summer back to her hometown to be near family. Once back in Chatham, she runs into standoff-ish Spencer, who she remembers from high school, and who is now a successful attorney. Spencer’s meddling grandmother suggests to both that Hannah job shadow Spencer at his practice to help get her creative juices flowing again. Although neither are comfortable with the arrangement, they do it and slowly they become friends, and possibly more?

This is a light-hearted and well -written novel. I really enjoyed reading it at the beach. The characters are very likable and I found myself rooting for their relationships to work out, well before they were even firmly established. Wonderful beach read.

Brooklyn-based author Hannah is grappling with the challenges of writing her second book amid personal losses. Meanwhile, her older sister Sara lives in their hometown of Chatham, Cape Cod, burdened by familial responsibilities and a fading marriage, yearning to rekindle her passion for literature. Hannah decides to escape to their aunt's oceanfront house in Chatham for the summer. This retreat not only promises a conducive environment for reigniting Hannah's creativity but also provides a chance for the sisters to bond. This is a tale of familial bonds and rediscovering one's passions.

This is my firt book read by Pamela Kelley. I enjoyed it so much I looked into her other books.

This story is about three women in a family grieving their mother and sister.
I loved to read about a small town with bookstores, cafes and restaurant. It made me want to research further.

These women have challenges int heir life that everyone has and how they dealt with them.

This will not be the last book by Pamela Kelley I read.

Thanks NEtGalley for a new author.

Thanks to NetGalley and St. Martin's Griffin for this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion. This is my first book by this author.

I was attracted to the story-line about two sisters moving on after the passing of their mother. The descriptions of Cape Cod were beautifully detailed. Unfortunately, I did not like the author's writing style as it felt very simplistic. The plot was predictable.

The Seaside Sisters is your definite "summer read, you know what will happen, but it's a feel good, easy breezy" book. Knowing the Cape, Pamela Kelley is able to describe the area true to form. Hannah heads to the Cape for the summer to stay with her aunt while attempting to write her second book. Boy next door appears shortly after, sister has her own personal drama, as well as said aunt. All is well that ends well & there you have it. One annoying part--when out with Spencer (boy next door) they have a conversation about "the city vs the Cape". The conversation is practically repeated in the very next chapter--shocker, he loves the Cape & not "concrete", whereas she loves both. Other than that, the story was fine.

This book is a cozy reminder that it’s okay to be imperfectly human. If you’re in the mood for a romance that touches your heart, ignites your imagination, and leaves you with a smile, look no further. This book is an absolute must-read, and truthfully, I’m looking forward to rereading it again soon.

Oh gosh, I love a good Pamela Kelley book. She creates such great characters. You feel like you know them. They become your friends. This book is no different. There is such a great relationship between Hannah and Sara. A feel good novel for sure.

#theseasidesisters is not my normal fare, i lean more towards police procedurals and historical fiction. however, i absolutely could not put it down. it felt like a warm blanket, and these characters felt like real people. it's comfort, 100%.

p.s. thanks to #netgalley for the ARC.

This book just wasn't for me, The story pace was just too slow and there were a lot of descriptions of things that held no value, they weren't important to the story or the scene.
