I thought this was really well written and I look forward to reading more from this author in the future. I think it will find readers at our library, so we will definitely be purchasing for the collection.

This book will have you wanting to try the experiment of waking up early and starting your day. If you try it you just may love it. The author is trying to help people get more time and things accomplished in 24 hours. Definitely a good read.

I received a complimentary copy and all opinions expressed are mine.

I have read the miracle morning and thus was curious again. He brought up the concept of S.A.V.E.R.S again .He talked about silence, affirmations ,visualizations ,exercise ,reading and scribbling. Overall the savers are things people can incorporate into their morning routine. Quite interesting and a great read if you ask me

While for some people this principles might be radically new or life altering to some, I've been exposed to a lot of this material and even read some of the books he references. Some chapters were like reading an infomercial on why these methods are the most amazing thing since sliced bread. But most of the book was a quick read with nuggets of wisdom that I culled from the info. If you haven't read anything like this, it could be worth the time to read, but I also recommend anything by Terri Savelle Foy on these topics. I just prefer her style over Elrod’s.

Hal Elrod's "The Miracle Morning (Updated and Expanded Edition)" is a motivational guide that champions the transformative potential of intentional morning rituals. Elrod introduces the SAVERS routine—Silence, Affirmations, Visualization, Exercise, Reading, and Scribing—as a powerful formula for personal growth. This updated edition provides practical insights and success stories, encouraging readers to embrace a proactive morning routine to kickstart their day with purpose. While the concept may not be groundbreaking, Elrod's enthusiastic and accessible approach makes "The Miracle Morning" an inspiring read for those seeking positive change in their lives.

I read an earlier edition and did not find much difference with this updated version, but still highly recommend it for anyone who wants to change their life.

An updated version of the Miracle Morning, which read in a much more relaxed manor than the first. Not so much "preachy" & "you MUST get up at x time", but more realistic. For those who read the first, I'd say give the update a try. Hal has matured in his writings. Definitely things to ponder, loaded with good ideas.
Thanks to Mr Elrod, NetGalley, and BenBella Books for the preread in exchange for an honest review

***** I have received and read an advanced reader copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for giving my honest feedback. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are my own.*****

Decent advice, but nothing jumped out in the new additions that would make me buy a new copy.

I don't think this book will change anybody's life, but it might help them find a new or easier way of doing something that they already do.

This update of Hal Elrod's classic Miracle Morning presents good information about starting your day with activities that will feed your mind, soul, and intentions, taking you closer to the life you really want to live. His routine can, in fact, be energizing and start your day in a positive way.

I don't have issue with what he says, I have issues with how frequently he tells us how wonderful his routine is, how much praise there is from others before he even imparts his first idea. There is good content here, but I wish he were more direct and less self-aggrandizing in his approach.

My thanks to BenBella books for permitting me to read a DRC of the book via NetGalley. All opinions expressed in this review are my own and are freely given.

I’m a fan of self help books. I’m always on the lookout for some advice, some spark or nugget of information that might make my life better/more postive/a bit easier/or a little more fulfilling. Not sure why I hadn’t checked out Miracle Morning before now, other than I hate mornings, lol. Hal Elrod’s story is certainly inspirational and I’m happy to say the good thing is right from the start Hal made it clear that he was never a morning person either, but through developing his routine he has become one. I’m hoping by following the Miracle Morning routine I might become one as well. While I don’t think any of the ideas presented in Miracle Morning are exactly revolutionary, Hal has taken some of the best ideas from multiple sources and crafted them into his own program: S.A.V.E.R.S. (Silence, Affirmations, Visualization, Exercise, Reading, Scribing) I read through the book over the last two days so while I have yet to actually begin the process I found the instructions easy to understand and given the testimonials I’ve read I’m anxious to see if the plan can work for me. So I’ll be giving it a go starting tomorrow morning. Wish me luck.

Choosing To Succeed

Hal Elrod states that this book is intended to build upon three fundamental truths, which are:
1. We are just as worthy, deserving, and capable of creating and sustaining extraordinary health, wealth, happiness, love, and success in our life as any other person on earth.
2. To stop settling for less than what we want in any area of our life.
3. How we approach waking up each day and our morning routine (or lack thereof) is crucial because it sets the tone, context, and direction for the rest of your day.

The author states that because the miracle morning is customizable, it works with anyone’s lifestyle. He discusses a variety of ways, strategies, and methods to increasing one's wake-up motivation level. Additionally, he discusses the following six habits that will transform your life:
1. Silence
2. Affirmations
3. Visualization
4. Exercise
5. Reading
6. Scribing

This a a very good book and it is just one of the books in his Miracle Morning series. I really enjoyed reading this book and highly recommend it to anyone desiring to improve their life and live stress free.

The Miracle Morning (Updated and Expanded Edition) : The Not-So-Obvious Secret Guaranteed to Transform Your Life (Before 8AM). Having read the first edition, I would prefer the original to this one. The updates and additions did not add much for me. Some good advice still, and might be a good edition for the social media generation.

Thank you for this ARC.
I read the previous book, I actually listened to the audiobook, This is a slightly a modified, blogging type of book/read. This reads like a sales type of book and pitch. I appreciate his words and lessons. I would not recommend this book as a first read. Read the original. It will be plenty.
I just reviewed The Miracle Morning (Updated and Expanded Edition) by Hal Elrod. #TheMiracleMorningUpdatedandExpandedEdition #NetGalley

When the original edition of Miracle Morning came out, it was a sensation. People started looking to morning routines to set themselves up for calm, productive days, and Mr. Elrod promoted S.A.V.E.R.S. (Silence/meditation, Affirmations, Visualization, Exercise, Reading, Scribing) as actions that would take as little as six minutes and create a purposeful foundation for the day. In this new volume, he adds an evening ritual, as a wind-down to restful sleep. This edition also updates content for Covid, Mr. Elrod’s cancer diagnosis (and remission), and other events and the lessons Mr. Elrod draws from them.

I read the original Miracle Morning and found it very useful. Even though I no longer follow S.A.V.E.R.S.— I’m more relaxed about it now, and add and subtract elements as life changes-- this edition adds to the original work and is well worth a read, if only as a refresher.

Thanks to NetGalley for the advanced reader copy.

I think these are some good tips to become a morning person...or to utilize your morning. However, I think the benefits are possibly overstated. I think the steps can be effective but not necessarily life changing.
