Sunday is the third child of six and as one of the “middles” she often feels forgotten and ignored, which is what happens when her father decides to take the whole family on his summer job to restore the Alma PA library. When they arrive, everyone pitches in. While Sunday is working in the basement of the library, she finds a box which contains a manuscript and letters addressed to the librarian. Sunday believes the writings belong to a deceased author, and if she can prove it, she will make a name fo herself. New friend Jude becomes an accomplice in her quest to solve the mystery, which leads them to Ben Folger. This character driven mystery will appeal to to the 8-12, and make a nice summer read.
Thank you Egmont and Netgalley for the digital arc.
