Great story & great characters.

This is such a cute read with a unique setting. I really enjoyed all the shenanigans of knight camp, the amusing banter of the main characters and the interesting history of part of England that were shared. Additionally, I enjoyed the LARPing storyline and am happy how the mental health rep in the story was portrayed.

I was really looking forward to this one! Role playing is something I've always found fascinating, so a romcom about it sound like the perfect idea. And I won't say it was bad. I did enjoy parts of it. I loved the family, the bits of role playing we got, and the representation of anxiety.

My main issue was with the couple. Daisy and Teddy just didn't have the connection I was hoping for and, to be honest, I would have liked it a lot better if Ellis had been her love interest. Teddy was mostly just annoying, and Daisy ended up being a little frustrating near the end as well.

Not to mention that it was meant to be set at a summer camp and we hardly got to see the kids. And when we did, Daisy and Teddy were so wrapped up in irritating each other that the kids were pretty much forgotten about. Not exactly good counselling...I would have loved if there were more moments with the kids and to have Daisy and Teddy bond over guiding them, instead of just pulling pigtails and complaining about it later. Teddy during the final LARP was adorable though.

I just felt wanting with this book. It had such great potential, but ultimately fell flat for me.

Love at First Knight was such a sweet sweet book! I love books with characters who are trying to find their place in the world and figure out who they are and what they want to do, and this one had the most perfect characters! There was so much to love about this book and I just thought it was so charming! thank you so much to netgalley for the earc and to the publisher

Loved Daisy/Lady A . I love the idea that you don’t know what someone else is going through regardless of how their life looks like from the outside/ public persona.

Enemies to lovers is always a book I will read.

I am in my contemporary romance era, and this book was perfect. I hadn't previously read Megan Clawson's other book but I will absolutely be reading it after this one. The banter between Teddy and Daisy was so witty and the slow burn was immaculately well-done. I thought it was also so refreshing to have the anxious nerd representation. Overall, a super cute romance.

A perfect romance pick for the nerds, the ones who watch Lord of the Rings religiously, and those that are obsessed with everything U.K.

I loved reading this and I loved seeing my inner fantasy nerd portrayed through these characters! Such a quick, witty, romantic book!

In this fun modern romance, readers follow Daisy, an introverted and socially anxious young woman who loves LARPing as Lady Alenthaea, a brave and strong elf warrior, with her parents, twin brother, and younger sister. As her siblings grow up and leave their hometown, Daisy feels left behind until Knight School at the the Tower of London, far from home, hires her as an instructor. Unfortunately, Teddy Fairfax lives to make her life difficult at Knight School, and the two of them constantly push the buttons of the other. The characters in this novel are whimsical, charming, entertaining, and dynamic, and it all starts with protagonist Daisy with her uncertainty and her oscillating personality between “Daisy” and “Alenthaea.” The other characters, especially Teddy Fairfax, are also incredibly complex and experience massive personality and narrative shifts over the course of the novel. Taking the knight and royalty trope and flipping it on its head, readers will love the LARPing aspect and the backdrop of chivalric knighthood in this novel. A fantastically fun read, this lighthearted modern romance with its clever, complex characters and novel setting is incredibly well-written, and Clawson gives her story such light and life that readers will find it hard to put down.

This was a cute and clean romance. I didn’t quite but into Teddy and Daisy’s relationship. Daisy is a great character but she has confidence issues and although she works through them Teddy does and says things that naturally send her spiraling.

I think I would have liked this better if it was not a romance just Daisy having fun with her LARP family (dramatics and all) while she works through her personal issues.

Daisy is a very introverted characterter who feels she doesn't really belong in the wider world. Then one day her life is suddenly forced into a world she never expected and to her own surprise she thrives. I really enjoyed this book and I loved the ending.

One of the funniest rom-coms I have read in years. The main character, Daisy Hastings, is a little bit of all of us. Her journey from being an uncertain, anxious nerd, feeling like she doesn't fit in anywhere in the world, to a confident young lady able to achieve anything she sets her mind to with those she loves at her side, is inspirational. The situations she gets herself into through her journey of self-discovery, accompanied by her enemy-to-lover counterpart, Viscount Teddy Fairfax, are simply hilarious. Daisy's relationships with each of the side characters, be it those with her slightly odd but loving family, her nerdy Knight school boss, or her newly acquired friend Bobble who is the polar opposite of the more reserved Daisy in every way, only adds to the comedy and calamity. Thank you once again to Megan Clawson for allowing me to leave reality behind for a little while, and be absorbed in your world of nerdy hilarity.

I need to come back to this book and give it another read, because I don't think I gave it the attention it deserves.

April wasn't the best month for me reading wise, and I really think it affected my enjoyment of the books I read as well as my reviews. I didn't ready a lot of books during April. and I'm glad because I'll have to go back and reread the ones I did lol.

I really struggled getting into this book at the beginning. I just couldn't seem to get into the book and I had to read and reread parts of the book because it just wasn't sticking.

That's why I say to take this review with a grain of salt. I can't rate it anything higher than 3 stars for now. I'm hoping that when I go back and reread the book, I'll be able to change my rating.

Don't let my review or struggles getting into this book stop you from giving it a chance though! Like I said, April was a chaotic month for me and hopefully May will be better. I still think other people should read this book and give it a chance.

Very cute book with a cool concept of being based in the Tower of London. I love any book set in the Uk and this one kept me entertained and laughing. It was a quick, cute read and so sweet.

The characters were insufferable, there was no real conflict and I did not find either of the interesting, engaging or loveable.

I absolutely loved this book! Megan knows how to write the best rom-com stories and all the hype leading up to this book did not disappoint.

Surrounded by the Tower of London, this story focused on anxiety ridden Daisy as she takes on Knight School. Daisy lives for LARPing and this role is perfect for her…as long as she lets her alter ego, Lady Alenthea, take over.

Teddy is the annoying enemy, until Daisy slowly gets to know him. Then it is more than fake swords clashing in the grassy moats of the Towers shadow.

First thought: Going into this I knew nothing about the world of LARPing so the first few chapters were a learning curve. But after that I really enjoyed the story and seeing the personal growth of the characters. Definitely a fun twist having the FMC saving the MMC, loved the role reversal. Definitely a new romance story idea!

Daisy is in her mid twenties and is afraid of the world. She was born in the wrong time period and only feels herself when she is LARPing as Lady A a fierce elven knight. But this summer she got the opportunity to go to London and teach children at Knight School. She took a giant leap out of her comfort zone to prove she can be brave like Lady A. The only issues is since she joined the staff late she will be on probation the first 4 weeks.

Teddy also known as the Viscount Fairfax is the bad boy of the royal family. He is always making headlines: scandal after scandal. Somehow he was forced to teach Knight School as one last attempt to fix his reputation. But his plan is to sabotage this opportunity and hopefully be cast out of his role in the royal family for good.

So naturally with Daisy excelling at being a knight and Teddy needing help navigating this new role they are paired up. With one needing to succeed and one wanting to fail it’s easy to see how this could go wrong very very quickly.

A royal romcom set at the Tower of London from my favorite author who lives in the Tower of London! I love how she represented Daisy's social anxiety and fear of leaving what she knows. A slow burn with a ton of character development for Daisy. A great summer read for when your bank account won't let you travel to London just to play knights.

I enjoyed Megan Clawson's previous book Falling Hard for the Royal Guard and so was intrigued to read this one as well. Unfortunately while I thought it was a decent enough read, it suffers a little from being too similar - the setting of the Tower of London, a 'commoner' type slowly falling for a posh boy and vice versa. I also thought that Teddy was less likeable than Freddie in the last book, and so I didn't really want Daisy to get together with him!

That said, I liked the LARPing aspect and how happily geeky the Hastings family were - it's so often portrayed as a negative thing, and to see the family portrayed as lovely people who enjoy their hobbies together was very sweet.

After reading and loving Clawson’s debut, Falling Hard for the Royal Guard, I was so excited to get my hands on her second book and it did not disappoint! I found the whole LARPing and “nerdy” premise really endearing and honestly relatable for those of us who didn’t exactly fit in. Also the being scared of leaving your home and all that you know is highly relatable. But look at our FMC! She took the leap and landed herself a viscount (not to be confused with a prince).

If you’ve ever seen the movie The Prince & Me and loved it, you will definitely love this book as it definitely gave similar vibes, just with a nerdier background. The premise is not the same at all, just like the overall feel. I’m loving this royal London/knights niche that Clawson is working with! It’s been fun to read!

Well Megan Clawson has done it again and written a really fun rom com story. I have to admit I was hesitant at first as I didn't really like the main character as she isn't your 'normal' main girl, however by the end you come to love her for her unique quirks and interests. I also loved that again the story was pulled back to the Tower of London and a brief cameo from our main couple in Falling Hard for the Royal Guard.

I just really enjoyed the refreshing plot and has a 'nerdy' hobby included and meant I learnt a bit more about LARPing and the communities that are formed due to it. This book not only has romance but family bonds and ties. Learning to love yourself and never being ashamed to be who you are.

I would 100% recommend this book and it would be a perfect holiday beach read! I am really looking forward to the next novel by this author.
